Paul Serre, of Hanover, passed away at LHSC Victoria Campus, London on Friday, March 01, 2013, in his 76th year.
Born in Sturgeon Falls, son of the late René and Léda (nee Roy) Serre. Paul was employed as a Superintendent with the School Boards for 30 years and was a Councillor with the Town of Hanover.
Survived by loving wife Irene (nee Wilson) Serre, children Laura (David) Gleason of London, Lynn (Shane) Dikolli of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Stephanie (Tony) Zettel of Mildmay and Mark (Christine) Serre of Montreal, grandchildren Stephen, Elizabeth, Michelle, Matthew, Samantha, Thomas, Kathleen, Christopher, Andrew, Luke, Anne, Bryanna, Alexandra and Joshua. Also survived by brothers Jacques Serre of Ancaster and André (Louise) Serre of Sturgeon Falls, and his sister Rolande (Eric) Sparks of Toronto. Predeceased by his brothers Bernard and Hubert and his sister Diane.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Rites at 8:30 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Father Mervin Perera officiating. Cremation with Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery.
