It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Norm at Hotel Dieu Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on July 1, 2014 at 89 years of age. We take comfort knowing that he is reunited with his sons he loved and missed so deeply. He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 59 years Madeline (née Paré) and late wife Adèlle (1950). Cherished father of Annette Brown (Stew), Jeannette Cowen (Gary); his late sons: Freddie (1948), Ron Seguin (2013), and Gerry Seguin (2012); and sons Ron Renaud (Dee), Ray Renaud (Jill) and Jim Renaud (Colleen). Predeceased by his daughter-in-laws Pauline Seguin (2000), Joyce Renaud (2007), and Shirley Renaud (2011). Caring pépé of Belinda, Mark, Jeffrey, David, Michael, Charlene, Tammy, Wendy, Amy, Paul, Leland, Carli, Jasmine, TJ, and the late Troy (1978). Adored great-pépé of 21 great-grandchildren and great-great grandson. Survived by his brother Art Seguin, sister Theresa Bellefleur and sister-in-law Yvonne Seguin. Reunited with his brothers Leo, Louis, Joe, Alphonse and Gord, as well as his sisters Rose and Rita. Norm was a proud and dedicated employee of Big V Drug Stores for over 30 years. His passion for cards was known by all from being a long-standing member and Past-President of the LaSalle Friendship Club to teaching his grandchildren to play cribbage and pepper. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Seasons Royal Oak – LaSalle for all their excellent care and compassion and to the nurses and staff of 7th floor Hotel Dieu for their outstanding comfort and care during his final days. If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 219 Sacred Heart Drive, until the time of Remembrance at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
