Resident of Cobourg for 40 years, passed away in the morning of Tuesday, September 18th, 2012 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, with his family by his side, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Hilda. Loving father of Jonathan (Michelle), Bryan (Diana), and Bruce (Alanna). Cherished grandfather of Ethan, Kaia, Leah and Ruby. Dear brother of Poh-Thiam (Wee-Kiat), and Poh-Lian. Dearly missed uncle of Bee-Ling, Lyn and daughter Jerrilyn, Uwen (Matt) and son Carl in addition to the many members of his extended family in Canada, Singapore and Ireland. Son of the late Keng Jin and Sim Neo Seet.

Seng was a respected and admired teacher and friend in Cobourg for 27 years at C.D.C.I East teaching a wide variety of subjects during his tenure. Prior to that, he was a successful businessman in Singapore before moving to the U.K. to study law and then to Canada in 1972. Outside of teaching high school, Seng, a third-degree Black Belt brought the martial arts to Cobourg in the mid-1970s by opening its first Tae Kwon-Do school which he ran until
his retirement in 1998.

Visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home (30 King St. E., Cobourg, Canada) on Saturday, September 22nd from 1-4 pm. A funeral service will take place Sunday, September 23rd at 2 pm at the funeral home. Cremation with interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow on Wednesday, September 26th at 2 pm.
