bernice sealey 001SEALEY, Mrs. Bernice (nee Hewitt), of Caressant Care on Mary Bucke, St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, in her 94th year.  Beloved wife of the late James Sealey (1992) and dear companion and best friend of Leonard H. “Tillie” Powers of St. Thomas.  Cherished mother of Jim Sealey (Rose) of West Lorne, Larry Sealey (Joanne) of St. Thomas, Ron Sealey (Sheila) of New Sarum, Nancy Farrel (Jim) of Port Elgin, and Don Sealey of Wardsville.  Loving sister of Carol Smith of Listowel, Betty Russell, Angie Claypole, and Bob Hewitt (late Helen), all of St. Thomas, late Leona Wollison, late Dorothy Carey, and late Lawrence, Ronald, Rolland, and Bill Hewitt.  Dear sister-in-law of Edna McGill of St. Thomas.  Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Born in Klock, ON, September 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Lina (nee Cartwright) Hewitt.  Bernice was a retired nursing assistant at St. Joseph’s Health Care, Parkwood Hospital, London.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday, December 29th from 2-5 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30th at 1:30 p.m.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to the Elgin Community Care Access Centre or the charity of one’s choice gratefully acknowledged.
