SCHELLENBERG, Albert Frank – At St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday, June 23, 2012, retired teacher “Shelley” Schellenberg, aged 84 years, went home peacefully to be with the Lord. Beloved husband and best friend of Hilda (nee Siebert) and dear father of Bob and his wife Joanne, Brad and his wife Sandy all of St. Catharines, Brenda and her husband Greg Murphy of Guelph. Grandfather of Rachel and husband Alexander Nowicki and Jenna Schellenberg and fiance Jonathon Crummer. Loving brother of Irene and her husband Ed Enns, Virginia and her husband Jack Dueck, Ted Schellenberg and his wife Mary Ann. Predeceased by his sister Hilda and his parents Frank and Helen Schellenberg.
Albert was a graduate of Hamilton Teacher’s College in 1955 and McMaster University in 1958 with an honours degree and he was named to the Directors Honours List. He taught with the Lincoln County Board of Education at Edith Cavell, Lady Churchill and Oakridge Schools, retiring in 1986.
The family will receive friends at the VINELAND CHAPEL of the TALLMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3277 King St. on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm. Private interment service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery prior to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, June 27th at 11 am at Immanuel Baptist Church, 605 Vine St., St. Catharines.
