SarjeantDouglas Albert Sarjeant

August 19, 1922 – August 20, 2014

 Born in Scranton Penn. U.S.A. Douglas was the sixth of seven children of Charles and Mildred Sarjeant.  Doug enlisted in R.C.A.F. in 1941 during WWII.  He was sent to England and studied Radar then later returned to Calgary AB to train for Air Crew where he gained his Commission as Flying Officer.  At the end of the war he returned to Kingston ON and studied Electrical Engineering at Queen’s.  Douglas then worked for Ontario Hydro and retired after 33 years.  He married his Barrie sweetheart, Margaret Hodges and raised three children, sons Scott (Kim), Reid (Jane,/girlfriend) and daughter Lori (Tony).  Grandfather to four wonderful grandsons Sean, Adam, Stuart and Matthew.

There will be a celebration of Doug’s life on Tuesday August 26 at his home from 4:00pm-7:00.
