After a brief illness at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, PETER SALISBURY, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2012.  Peter was a resident of Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia for 12 years, where he fulfilled his love of nature by feeding the birds and maintaining small gardens.   He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Carol of 40 years.   Loving father to Jason and Trish Salisbury, Carla and Rob Dunn, Paul and Kirstin Salisbury, and Jodi and Bobby Huckle. Grandfather to Duncan, Kaleb, Gabriel, Jayden, Meranda, Alyssa, Kylee, Ryan, Jesse, Logan, and Erik.   Peter was the son of the late Elsie (2003) and Gordon (2006) Salisbury, and brother to Janet Cronk and Tom Perkins, William Salisbury and Pat Horton, Jeannie and the late Dennis (2011) Marshall, Shirley and Dan Boyd, Robert and Lynn Salisbury, Donna and the late Ted(2009) Jackson, Len and Barb Salisbury, Terry and Jane Salisbury, and the late Tom Salisbury (2010), Dave Salisbury (2009), and Ron Salisbury (1993).  He is also survived by his special Aunt Evelyn Salisbury.  Peter’s passion for outdoor living will carry on in heaven.   Visitors will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:00 noon from the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 12:00 noon.   Pastor Kari Lylander of New Life Assembly officiating.  Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia-Lambton (www.stjosephshospice.ca).  Memories, condolences, and pictures may be shared on-line at www.needhamjay.com.
