rouw-webElaine Shirley Rouw, of Hanover, passed away at The Village Senior’s Community, Hanover on Friday morning, January 23, 2015.  She was 72.

Elaine was born in Conestoga Ontario.  She worked as a Seamstress for Buckeye Peerless until retiring and was a member of the Lutheran Women of First St. Matthew’s Church. Elaine was often seen around the Hanover and District Hospital with the Day Away Program and involved with the local chapter for the MS Society, taking on charity and fundraising activites.

Survived by son Gary Rouw and his wife Angela of Ayton and daughter Wendy Elliott and fiance Shannon Bowe of Hanover.  Also missed by grandchildren Joshua and Madison Elliott and Alaina and Michayla Rouw.  Loved brother John (Rosanne) Jonas of Kitchener and sister of Beverly (Wayne) Neeb of Conestoga. Predeceased by her husband Cor Rouw, adoptive parents Fred and Florence (Dietz) Bode,  brother Donald Bode and maternal mother Martha and her step father Charles.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on  Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover.  Rev. Robert Clifford officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
