Jean Rouse, of Hanover, passed away at The Village Senior’s Community, Hanover on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was 87.

Born in Dyers Bay, Ontario to the late Robert and Ella Bartley.  Jean worked at Hafermehl Jewellers.  She enjoyed curling, playing golf and lawn bowling along with being an active volunteer with the Hanover and District Hospital Auxiliary and the Durham Hospital Auxiliary.

Survived by daughter Sharon (Brian) Adams of Hanover, sons Dwight (Jen) Rouse of Australia and Edward (Kerry) Rouse of Durham, grandchildren Aaron Rouse, Andrea Rouse, Cory (Heidi) Adams and Jason (Crystal) Adams and greatgrandchildren Matthew, Natalie, Shaye, Quinn and Weston.  Remembered by her brothers Lloyd Bartley, Alister Bartley and Harvey Bartley, sister Gladys Bray and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband Carmen Rouse, brothers Elmer Bartley and Ralph Bartley and sisters Bernice Robbins and Velma Louch

Cremation has taken place, spring inurnment will take place in Eastnor Cemetery, Lions Head.  Arrangements entrusted to the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
