Mr. James “Jim” Edward Rothery, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Sydenham Campus, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 81 years.
Jim was born in Chatham Township and was a son of the late James Rothery and Lena (Rothery) Moreland.
Beloved husband of Gerrie (Van Vliet) Rothery.
Loving father and father-in-law of Linda & Henry Sikkema, Rick & Sally Rothery and Cathy & Rob Zuidema.
Sadly missed by 15 grandchildren Josh, James, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah, Hannah, Lydia, Miriam, Johnny, Ashlyn, Bradley, Jonathon, Ryan, Lindsey and Katelyn.
Kind brother and brother-in-law of Gail (Don) Henry, Mary Rothery, Anne Stewart-Fennema and Alida Van Vliet.
Predeceased by two brothers Jerry Rothery and John Rothery.
The late Jim Rothery rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg (519 627 2861).  The Funeral Service was held Friday, June 28, 2013 from Alliance Church, 255 Gregory Dr., W. in Chatham, at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the church, Pastor Gord Reynolds, Officiant.
Cremation will follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Gregory Dr. Alliance Church “Mission Fund” may be left at the funeral home.
