ROSS, IdaIn loving memory of Ida Ross, 83 years, who passed away peacefully in Collingwood, on Saturday, February 1st,2014.  Ida was born in Sudbury and married Ernest Ross (predeceased February 1974).  Ida moved to Azilda in 1954 where she and Ernest raised their seven children.  She was a member of Ste-Agnès Parish and was involved in many community activities.  A good person who was respected and liked by her many friends and neighbours.  She will be remembered for her crafts. An avid sewer and knitter, Ida also enjoyed millinery, crocheting and craft making.  Her creations adorn many homes in the Sudbury area.  A devoted wife and mother, she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  There are many fond memories of her Christmas cooking and good times.  She will be missed by her children Robert (Marg), Rachelle Peltier (Roland), Roger (Fiona), Reina Ross-Christensen (Henry), Raymond (late Christine), Roxanne Robin (Maurice), Rosemay Martin (Gord).  Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Daughter of Gerry and Blanche (née Bouffard) both predeceased.  Dear sister of Rita Laplante, Jeannine Fortin, Denise Tessier and Helen Ménard.  Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Omer, Albert, Jeanne Aburnot, Roger, Ronald and Myonne Theberge. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m.  Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Donations (by cheque only) to the S.P.C.A. or to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
