Ross PhotoRoss, Earl Harford – peacefully at QHC – Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, July 13, 2014 in his 92nd year. Earl Ross, of Belleville, retired as Foreman after 40 years at Corby Distillery. Son of the late John & Nellie Ross. Beloved husband of Edna Livingston and the late Ruth Ross. Loving father of Gary (Sandra) Ross of Corbyville and Janet Ladd (Lee Walz) of Brockville and father-in-law of Jim (Diane) Burns of Tweed. He is predeceased by his daughter Linda Burns, by his son James Ross and his daughter in-law, Marlene Ross. Earl is the stepfather of Susan (Rick) Mette of Belleville, Katherine (Peter) Lam, Robert (Renee) Livingston, both of Oshawa, Sandra (Bruce) Carriere of Trail, BC and Amy Taylor (Frank Horvath) of Hamilton. He is the proud grandfather of Michelle (Treffor), Cindy, Andrew (Amal), Adam (Joelle), Matthew, Michael (Melissa), Jordan (Melissa) and Rebecca (James). Great grandfather of Connor, Mitchell, Bryson, Brady, Brooke, Laila, Khalil and Clara. Earl is survived by his sisters, Olive Cooke of Stirling and Carol (Ron) Badgley of Belleville and by his brother Harold Ross, of Frankenmuth, MI. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Mark’s United Church, Cannifton, on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Victoria Cemetery.
