rogershelen1Passed away peacefully on Saturday February 23, 2013 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, Ontario at age of 101.  Beloved wife of the late George Thomas Vernon Rogers of New Lowell, Ontario. Loving mother Will (Louise) Rogers of Australia, Bonnie (Doug) Clark of Petrolia, Ed Rogers of New Lowell, Raymond (Helen) Rogers of Lloydminster, Alberta and David Rogers of New Lowell. Cherished grandma of Benjamin (Kylie), Selena (Matt), Alexander, Elizabeth, Adam (Erica), Rebecca (Len), Justin (Pam), Trevor (Amanda), Edwin (Kim), James and Adrian. Dear great grandma of Emma, Madeline, Liam, Emma Jessie, Stuart, Simone, George and Harrison. Sister of the late Peg Dyer (the late Lloyd), the late Agnes Dunbar (the late Wynne), the late Ed Pasmore (the late Margaret). Helen is predeceased by her parents William Pasmore (1966) and Margaret (nee McQueen) Pasmore (1972) of Rockwood, Ontario. She grew up on a farm near Rockwood, Ontario.  She graduated from Acadia University in the 1940’s with a degree in Home Economics and taught short courses all over Ontario for the Ministry of Agriculture.  She married and moved to a farm near New Lowell in 1943. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner (705-428-2637) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday February 28, 2013. Funeral Service will be held at the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd, 219 Scott Street, Stayner on Friday March 1, 2013 at 11 o’clock. Spring Interment Stayner Union Cemetery.  If desired, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd or the New Lowell Public Library.
