CHARBONNEAU, Roger John – At Bluewater Health on Friday, February 24, 2012. Roger was born on January 16, 1925 in Timmins, Ontario. Brother of Guy (Kathy) Charbonneau, Sarnia, Gerald (Francoise) Charbonneau, Sherbrooke, Quebec, the late Gisele (Vince) Gavan and the late Lucille (Howard) Weston. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Emile & Marie Charbonneau. Roger worked in service in Halifax during W.W.II. He also worked in the accounting department at Dow Chemical in Sarnia and then as a French translator for Eaton’s in Toronto. He returned to Sarnia in the early ‘90’s and lived at the Sandpiper for many years. At Roger’s request, cremation has taken place.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in mid-April. Please check the Observer and the funeral home website then. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
