ROCHON, Alice of Sudbury – April 13, 1917 – September 9, 2012
It is with great sorrow that the family announce the passing of Alice Louise Rochon at the age of 95, Sunday September 9 at St. Joseph’s Villa surrounded by her family. Loving daughter of Alphonse and Elmire (Boulay), both predeceased. Predeceased by her sister and her brothers, Lucienne (Elias Marier), Rodolphe (Irene), Roméo, Renauldo (Elodia), Adrien and Wilfred. Survived by sister-in-law Gladys (wife of Wilfred). Special “Matante” to Richard (Linda), Brent (Margaret) and Keith. Missed by her great-great nieces and nephews Trista, Christine, Tyson, Ryan, Alexandra, Lauren, Kaylena and Jayden. Alice was a true Sudburian, born and raised on her family’s farm along Lasalle Blvd. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards or bingo. A lively and active person who spent her time walking around the city and enjoying the warm sun. Alice lived independently in her home until the age of 93. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa for their care and kindness during her stay. The family will receive relatives and friends at COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury (222 Lasalle blvd.), Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-8 pm. A funeral service will follow at 8 pm in the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury, Chapel. Donations (by cheque only) to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.
