Robinson (176x250)Robinson, James Mack of St. Thomas, passed away on Thursday, May 8th, 2014 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 78th year. Dearly loved husband of Jean (Akers) Robinson and much loved father of James Robinson (Jennifer) of Burlington, Alan Robinson (Debi) of Mulberry, Florida, Mark Robinson of St. Thomas and the late Karen (Robinson) Jones and her husband Paul Jones of St. Thomas. Dear brother of Phyllis Blair ( late George) of Edinburgh, Alec Robinson (Adele) of Edinburgh, the late Betty Gould (Graham) of St. Thomas and the late Charles Robinson. Sadly missed by a number grandchildren, great grandchildren and of nieces and nephews. Jim was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on March 2, 1937, the son of the late Charles Alexander and Mary (Mack) Robinson. He came to Canada in 1963. He was retired from Clark Equipment after 32 years of service. Jim was a member of Talbot Masonic Lodge #44 A.F. and A.M., York Rite, Palestine Chapter and Hi-Ro Shrine. He was a devoted member of Knox Presbyterian Church. He played soccer a number of years for Royal House Soccer Team. He was an avid hockey fan and sports fan and season ticket holder for  the London Knights.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on  Monday  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 11:00  a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully declined.  Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Shriners Hospitals for Children. A Memorial service will be conducted by Officers and Members of Talbot Lodge #44 A.F. A.M. on  Monday at  6:45  p.m.
