Reynolds, John David – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John who left us on Friday, November the 14th, 2014 at home in the loving arms of his family, in his 63rd year, after a long and brave battle with prostate cancer. Dear son of the late Llewellyn and Vera (Rolston) Reynolds. Best friend and loving husband of 33 yrs to Sharon (Clarke) Reynolds. Dearly beloved father of Robyn Reynolds of Belleville and Jeffrey Reynolds (Allison Aumont) of Stittsville. Loved by his brother Jim (Kathy) Reynolds of Stirling. Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Darlene House, Charlene (David) Fielding and Paul (Melissa) Clarke. He is also survived by his aunts; Hazel Robinson, Shirley Pixley, Marlene Rolston and Donna Rose Hoyle, by many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was formerly involved for many years with the Stirling Minor Hockey and also as a convener for both the soccer and softball leagues of the former Sidney Township Minor Sports Association. He was a long time employee of Black Diamond Cheese and was an avid camper who would always have his trailer and camping buddy Rufus ready to roll! He enjoyed traveling and visiting new and different places and campgrounds before his illness forced him to seasonal parking. He will be sadly missed by his camping buddies Karen & Carol Collins and Rob O’Connor. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Family and friends will be received at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613–968-2273) on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. with the Memorial Service to take place in the Chapel at 11:00. Inurnment at Belleville Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, Memorial Donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (Prostate Cancer), and or consider becoming a Blood Donor. John had been one his entire adult life until his illness disqualified him from donating.
