web_Renaud, Mary EllenBorn December 8, 1945 and returning to our Lord on September 18, 2014 at the age of 68 years, after a nine year journey with cancer. Mary Ellen passed away with dignity and a warrior spirit with her family by her side at the Hospice Residential Home. She was the beloved daughter of Clarence (2008) and Mary Renaud (2005). She was the loving and spirited mother of Michael and Lisa Agostinis and Angela and Stephen MacKinnon. She was a nurturing, compassionate and fun-loving grandmother to Madeline, Emily and John MacKinnon and Alex and Nathan Agostinis. Dearest sister to Ruthann and Richard Lumb, Donna Renaud, Theresa and Bernard Rivard, Christine Moretto, and Joe and Lisa Renaud. Mary Ellen was the aunt to fifteen nieces and nephews. She was also a close friend to Claude Agostinis, Elizabeth Mate and so many others. Mary Ellen was a kind, caring woman who worked many years as a RPN and later as an employee for the City of Windsor. She was a member of Assumption Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Mary Ellen loved to question, learn and explore the world around her. Her passion for living life to the fullest was evident throughout her cancer journey. Her faith and commitment to persevere showed her family and friends that nothing is impossible when belief is strong. Mary Ellen and her family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Windsor Regional Cancer Center doctors and nurses, most especially Dr. Kanjeekal. The guidance and compassion she received there helped her to feel empowered and supported throughout her journey. A special thank you to The Hospice of Windsor-Essex for all the support and compassion they have shown Mary Ellen and her family from the time of her diagnosis to her passing.
