In loving memory of Edmond “Eddy” Remillard who passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2014 with his family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Jeannette Remillard (née Miron) and by his parents Joseph Remillard and Jeanne Deschamps (née Jarbeau). Beloved father of Michele Remillard (Doug Cornthwaite) and Lyse Rainville (Rémi). Survived by his brothers Aurel Deschamps (Carol) and Léo Deschamps (Monique Sasseville). Predeceased by his siblings Mignonne Serre, Lucienne Leduc, Yollande Savarie, Richard Deschamps, Rosemond, Gilbert and Raymond Remillard. Dear brother-in-law of Marc Miron (Sharon), Gabriel Miron (Yvette) and Gilles Miron (Paulette). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren William Roy, Rémi Jr. Rainville (Crista Hunda) and André Rainville (Janique Jalbert). Eddy worked as a miner for Inco for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at his daily coffee clubs. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman and hunter. Always putting a smile on his face, his grandchildren were his pride and joy. A special thank you to the staff at The Walford on the Park in Copper Cliff, as well as the doctors and nurses in the Intensive Care Unit at Health Sciences North for their love, care and respect. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, March 29th, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer’s Society and ALS Society would be appreciated.
