Redmond, Seamus of Port Stanley and formerly of London and Stratford, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014, at the St. Joseph’s Hospice, London, in his 67th year. Dearly loved husband of Susan (Ross) Redmond and loved father of Paul Redmond and his wife Amy of London. Much loved Poppa of Clare, Aedan and Kathleen. Dear brother of Maria Posener (Mike) of Australia, Joe Redmond (Claire) of Ireland, Sean Redmond of Ireland and Joan Howes (Brian) of England.  Dear son-in-law of Marilyn Ross. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Seamus was born in Ireland on December 13, 1947, the son of the late James and Margaret “Peg” (Kirwan) Redmond. He worked for G.M. Locomotive, London. Seamus was a member of the St. Thomas Field Naturalists, Nature London, the Hawk Cliff Foundation and was a supporter for the Parkinson Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospice, the Parkinson Foundation or charity of choice.
