Surrounded by family, on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Marshall Gowland Manor, John Kerr Ramsay passed away. Beloved husband of the late Violet Ramsay. Loving  father of Christine (Dave) Dilkes, Joan (Talal) Ramsay, John (Julia) Ramsay, the late Raymond Ramsay and brother to the late James Ramsay. Cherished grandfather of Erin (Mike) Fabro, Casey (Curtis) Barylski, Kelley (Mike) Tucker, Janet (Dennis) Warwick, Heath, Shea, Cheyenne, Madelyn, Angus, Danny and Leah Ramsay. Treasured great-grandfather of Lennox, Regan, Harrison, Chase and Carson. John was a native of Dundee, Scotland. He brought his young family to Canada, first to Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and finally settling in to Sarnia. He worked as a stationary engineer for many years at CIL. John was an avid curler and a long time member of Greenwood Golf Course. He is best remembered watching a game of golf with a scotch in hand. Cremation has taken place. At John’s request, no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Marshall Gowland Manor Adult Enrichment Centre (cheques only at the funeral home please).
