Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on October 9th, 2012 in his 90th year, Carmine was taken to the gates of heaven to reunite with his father Nicola (1939), his mother Antonia (1973), his sister Philomena (1943) and his brother Peter (1975). Survived by the love of his life of 66 years, Angela Maria Radice. Cherished father of Nicola Radice and his wife Marguerita and Donato Radice and his wife Mary of Niagara Falls. Devoted “Pappa Nonno” to Sue Forcier (Paul), Angela Colavecchia (Andy), Carmela Radice, Daniel Radice (Jasmine) and Nicholas Radice (Marsha). Adoring “Great Pappa Nonno” to Lucas, Marcus, Kassandra, Nathan, Lucas, Jesse and Gabriel. Dear brother to Angelo Radice (Antoinetta) Incornata and the late Peter Radice of Niagara Falls and sister Margherita Ricigliano in San Fele, Potenza, Italy. Cherished brother-in-law to Donato Colangelo (Assunta), Vito Colangelo (Margherita), Frank Colangelo (Beatrice), the late Antonio and Madalena Colangelo, as well as four predeceased brothers-in-law and two predeceased sisters-in-law from Potenza, Italy. Carmine will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. His devotion to his wife, family and his love of the outdoors and tending to his manicured grass and gardens carried him through to his 90 years. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff of Trillium and Palliative Care units of GNGH for their care of Carmine.
Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME5917 Main Street, on Thursday October 11, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday October 12, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Church at 11 o’clock. Rite of Committal with entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Walker Cancer Centre, Cancer Treatment and Program.
