Prokop, Deborah Diane of Pleasant Valley, R.R. 5 St. Thomas, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, June 15th, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 57th year. Dearly loved partner of Robert “Bob” Bishop and loved mother of Sherri Lynn Jones (Robert) of Port Stanley and Michael James Prokop (Michelle) of Aylmer. Much loved grandmother or Victoria, Hunter, Jaelyn, Taylor and Brody. Loved daughter of Beverly Jack and Late Betty (Rokebrand) Butler of Tobermory. Dearly loves sister of Leann (Bob) Rouse of Lionshead. Dear niece of Nellie Rusman of Chatham. Sadly missed by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Deb was born in Chatham on September 21st, 1955. She operated Pleasant Valley Trout Farm with her partner Bob. She was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm.Flowers gratefully declined. Remembrances may be made to Animal Aide or Pets Friends for Life or simply go out and complete a random act of kindness in honour of Deb.
