Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, Mary Lou Priestley passed away. She will be forever missed by her husband of 26 years, Tom. Loving mother of Linda (Joe) Theriault (nee Scott) of Wyoming and Ross Scott of Point Edward. Fondly remembered by her niece Cheryl Barr of London. Survived by her stepson Scott Priestley and his wife Kim and their daughter Kayla. Cherished Grama of Jake (Karen) Theriault of Strathroy and Kelsey (Chris) Gorton of Brigden, and great-grama of Gage Theriault. Dear aunt of Jane (John) Watson and Fred Reid of Sarnia, and Wally (Joyce) Reid of Grimsby. Predeceased by her mom Elma McDonald (Deacon) (1990), sister Carol Barr (1986), nephew Tim Barr (McGee) (1996), and her first husband Fred Scott (1982). Mary Lou worked at Bell Telephone for 30 years. She made many friends through living in Point Edward and at Bluewater Country, and through attending St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Point Edward. She was very active and enjoyed her morning walks and line dancing. She loved spending her winters in the Florida sunshine for the past 23 years. We will miss her smiling face and loving ways. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Smith Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Scleroderma Society of Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home please).
