It is with regret that we announce the passing of Wilson Wallace Povelofskie peacefully in his sleep at Elgin Abbey in Chesley on October 3, 2012, in his 88th year.

Loving father of Bryan (Vivian) nee Bryans of Williams Lake, BC and grandchildren, Lori-Ann Sardy (Povelofskie) of Calgary, AB, Tanya and Jerod Povelofskie of Williams Lake, BC; son Robert (Maria) of Guelph and grandchildren, Joshau, Harmony, Emmanuel, Janienne Povelofskie of Guelph; daughter, Shelia Gottscheu of Williams Lake, BC and step-daughter Verna (Keith) Playford of Massey. Wilson will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Elda Harrison of Chesley, Ada Cowan of Grimsby, Ruth Miles of Owen Sound and Agnes Byers of Tara. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his first wife Marion Hepburn, mother of his children. Predeceased by his wife Anneas (Bestward), sons Gerald and Leslie of Williams Lake, BC; grandsons Kevin and David Povelofskie of Williams Lake, BC; brothers Elmer and Lyle, sisters Florence Mervyn, Orral Charlton, Edna Povelofskie and his parents, William and Annie (Kaufman) Povelofskie.

A funeral service celebrating Wilson’s life will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. with visitation two hours prior to the service. A luncheon will follow after interment in the Chesley Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
