Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on September 30, 2017, at 70 years of age.   Loving father of Jennifer Newman of LaSalle and Rebecca (Mike) Canzio of Waterdown.  Much-loved Pipi and most dedicated sports fan of his grandsons,  Jay Newman and Noah and Joshua Canzio.  Cherished partner of Nancy Simone.   Sadly missed by his siblings, Suzanne (Chuck) Price, Denise (Merle) Pare, Gisele Martin (Dave Jessop), and Paul Poulin (Jo-Anne Robinson).  Dear brother-in-law of Sally Poulin.  Predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Jeannette Poulin and brother, Roger Poulin.  Dearly remembered by his former spouse, Barb Poulin, many aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, and his extended Dupuis family.   Dearly missed by his Simone family, Kara Szekely (Anthony Garreffa), Charlotte Simone, Carmen Simone (Deborah), Mary Lou Mayville and her family.  Cherished friend, teammate, and fellow outdoorsman to many companions, including Ron, Alan, Art, Dave, and Jim and the Windsor Chiefs.   Fondly remembered by many colleagues, as a district manager of the LCBO in Northern and Southern Ontario.   He was an accomplished, life-long baseball player and an avid fisherman and hunter.   He felt most at home on the ball diamond, from his youth in the LaSalle area, through decades in Timmins, and most recently in Windsor, Michigan, and Florida.  He celebrated much success with many winning teams, such as the Schumacher Giants, who were inducted into the Timmins Sports Hall of Fame, and the Windsor Chiefs, who won the U.S. National Tournament of Champions, as well as multiple National Championships across the U.S.A.   Robert will be fondly remembered for his vivid stories, dedication to baseball, and his adventurous spirit.  If you so desire, donations to Hospice Residential or the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Cremation has taken place.  Memorial Visitation Wednesday 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  Memorial Service Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.  Share memories, photos or make a donation at
