Phyllis Poechman, of Hanover, suddenly on Tuesday, April 02, 2013.  She was 81.

Born in Beeton, Ontario, daughter of the late James and Evelyn (nee Lisk) Aiken. Phyllis was a Red Cross Homemaker until her retirement and a devoted member of the Catholic Women’s League, Hanover, Southline Women’s Institute and Elmwood Seniors Club.

Survived by husband Ralph Poechman of Hanover, brother Jim (Mae) Aiken of Sundridge, sisters Sheila Ferguson of Beeton and Carol (Don) Dion of Port Carling, brothers in law John Poechman of Hanover, Alfred Poechman of R#2 Walkerton, sisters in law Marie McLaughlin of London, Eileen Flamin of Yorkton Saskatchewan, Anna VanEyk of Kitchener, Rita Poechman of Waterloo and Ruth Jackson of Port Burwell. Predeceased by her sister Marie Heit and sister in law Louise Hafermehl.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm with Vigil Rites at 8:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 05, 2013 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Father Mervin Perera officiating.

Spring Interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Carlsruhe.

Memorial donations to the Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to Holy Family Church were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
