Plumb, Jean Cecelia of Leamington, ON

Age 92, of Leamington, passed peacefully on December 15th at the Sun Parlour Home.

Predeceased by her devoted husband, Walter Plumb in 1985, her parents Abe and Edna Haggith, brothers Jack, Bob and Murray Haggith and her sister Emily Joan Morgan.

Jean grew up on the 5th concession in Olinda enjoying country life and helping out on the Haggith homestead before meeting and marrying Walter.

Jean was a skilled homemaker keeping her home in tip top shape. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals, canned goods and delicious baked goodies from scratch for her family and friends, especially over the holidays.

She was a long-time hockey fan and enjoyed watching her son play hockey and tuning in to Hockey Night in Canada. Jean was a woman of faith and longtime member of the Leamington United Church, enjoying the church’s Coffee Club. She also enjoyed playing cards at the Half Century Club, Monday afternoons with her girlfriends and browsing through the Sears and Avon catalogues.

Jean will be greatly missed by daughter Barbara and husband Bernard LaLonde of Blenheim and son Brian and his wife Sheryl of Emeryville/Leamington.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Doris Haggith of Leamington and many nieces and nephews. Special aunt to Charles Lanier of Ohio.
