PLATSCHORRE, Mrs. Victoria (nee Kosynski), of Ottawa, formerly of R.R.#4, St. Thomas, passed away at her late residence on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, in her 100th year.  Beloved wife of the late John Platschorre (1996).  Dearly loved mother of Denise Alcock (John), and Franklin Platschorre, all of Ottawa.  Loved grandmother of Deborah Alcock Rosta (Neil) of Owen Sound, and Douglas Alcock (Bernadette) of Ottawa.  Proud great grandmother of Alison, Emma and Cameron Rosta, and Ryan Alcock.  Dear sister of Marie Jose “Georgette” Kosynski, Rene Kosynski (late Etta), late Archie Kosynski (Gladys), and the late Arthur Kosynski (Marie).  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Born in Outer, Belgium, Dec. 5, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Clementine (nee Lauwerier) and Cornelis Frans “Frank” Kosynski.  Victoria came to Canada in 1927, and to R.R.#4, St. Thomas in 1936.  She moved to Ottawa in 2008.  She was a longtime member of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas, and a more recent member of the Annunciation of the Lord Roman Catholic Church, Ottawa.  Relatives and friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday evening, Sept. 28th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (Prayers at 8:30 p.m.).  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the STEGH Foundation, Holy Angels’ Church Restoration Fund or charity of one’s choice gratefully acknowledged.
