Suddenly, on September 27, 2014 at Bluewater Health, Sharon Jean Plain “Gaabiidaaseged Kwe” began her journey to the spirit world at the age of 71. Loving  mother of Pam Plain (Farley Eagle Speaker), Charles Plain, Tracey Plain (Arnold Joseph Jr.), Fenton Plain, Mariah Plain, and chosen daughters Ruth Altiman and Jan Martin. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren. Treasured great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Marion Waters, Elizabeth Plain, and Stan Plain. Survived by loving friends Bonnie, Alece, Cynthia, Frank and Lucy. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Sarah Plain; sisters Maryln Liddle and Vivian Washington; and brothers Charles and Dale Plain. Sharon proudly served Aamjiwnaang Home and Community Care, as well as the Red Cross Care Partners as a Personal Support Worker, and will be dearly missed by her co-workers and clients. She was actively involved with Aamjiwnaang Seniors Programs and Walpole United Church. The funeral service was held at Aamjiwnaang Community Centre on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Aamjiwnaang Cemetery.
