PIQUETTE, GilbertThe family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at the age of 64 years.  Son of the late Oscar and Jeannette (née St-Aubin) Piquette. Beloved husband of Pauline (née Campeau) Piquette. Loving father of Alain Piquette (Annie) and Pierre Piquette (Jessica). Dear brother of Jean-Paul Piquette (Laurel). Predeceased by his brothers and sister Gaetan (Francine), Jean-Guy (Gaetanne) and Pauline (Adelard). Son-in-law of the late Rhéal and the late Thérèse (née Laurin) Campeau. Dear brother-in-law of Roger (Suzanne), Benoit, Réjean (Beverly) and Julie Denommé (Ronald). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Retired after 31 years from Falconbridge Mine, he loved blueberry picking, hunting and fishing. Gilbert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he will be remembered as being the life of a party and loved to make people laugh. He made everyone feel special. Come and celebrate Gilbert’s life with us and dress casual (Gilbert would like that). A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St-Jacques, Hanmer. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Hanmer. Gilbert was and still is in our hearts, the best, most loving husband and father.
