Phillion, Edith of Caressant Care Home, Woodstock and formerly of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, August 25th, 2012, at her late residence, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of 75 years of the late Fernand Phillion and dearly loved mother of Marilyn Nelson of Toronto, Ron Phillion of North Bay, Nona Irvine of Lonodon, Robert “Bob” Phillion (Yvonne) of Edmonton, Wendy Jacklin (John) of London and Joanne Phillion (Bill) of Woodstock. Predeceased by a son Jack Phillion and a daughter Brenda Clark. Dear sister Violet Kinsellla and Noreen Kershaw. Predeceased by a brother Bob Laur and 2 sisters Edna Betler and Myrtle Laur. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Edith was born in Belmont on May 24th, 1920, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Stinson) Laur.

The funeral service to celebrate Edith’s life will be held at the Community of Christ Church on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery with her husband Fernand and son Jack. Visitation at the Church from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (in honour of her late son Jack). Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas entrusted with arrangements.
