Stuart SPARKER, Stuart S., passed away at his residence, the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas on Monday, January 20, 2014, in his 92nd year.  Best friend and beloved husband for 62 years to the late Ella (nee Stevenson) Parker (2009).  Dearly loved father of Judy Ray (Terry) of London, and Linda Doan (Ron) of  Lambeth.  Cherished grandfather of David, Terri (Paul), Brent (Cassandra), Nicole (Greg), and Nathan (Stephanie).  Also survived by 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Freeman Parker predeceased him.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, February 17, 1922, he was the son of the late Morley and Ada (nee Freeman) Parker.  Stuart was a 36 year employee of Timken Canada.  He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas where he was an elder emeritus of the church session.  Stuart was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters, London, and the United Steelworkers of America Retirement Club, and a former member of the St. Thomas Curling Club and Talbot Park Golf Club, St. Thomas.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Wednesday evening, January 22nd from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged.
