PAISLEY: Nora Rebecca (nee Aldridge) of Wasaga Beach
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on Monday May 27, 2013 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 90. Wife of the late Earl Paisley (2003). Loving mother of Sharon (George Burkholder), John (Cathy) and Patrick (Colleen). Cherished grandmother of Clinton, Tiffany, Sabrina, Jessica, Jonathan, Shannon, Kimberly, Janice and Kristin. Great-grandmother of Malcom, Keira, Kayleigh and Alexis. Also survived and missed by her sister Theresa. Predeceased by her parents John and Kathleen Armitage and her sister Mary. Nora spent most of her school life in Collingwood. She married Earl Paisley who was a member of the RCAF. Through Earl’s service, they travelled to many provinces in Canada. In 1967, they retired to Wasaga Beach and purchased the “Lorna Doon” from John and Lorna Wilson. In 2006, the Lorna Doon moved to it’s current location of 667 River Road West, Wasaga Beach. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West (east of Zoo Park Road), Wasaga Beach on Friday May 31,2013 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m.. Reception to follow. Interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. If desired, donations in Nora’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation .
