Peacefully on August 23, 2014 at 91 years of age. Cherished husband of Fortunata for 70 years. Adored father of Norma and husband Antonio Mamaril, Santiago Pablo and wife Zita, Helen Quigley, Pablo Pablo and wife Teresita, Luzviminda and husband Diosdado Tan, Elvira and husband Ramon Estrella, Maria Teresa and husband Ireneo Domingo, Emmanuela and husband Andrew Laurie and Marilou Pablo-Shevchuk and David Shevchuk. Treasured Grandfather Daddy Ago of Allan, Trisha, Suzette, Christy, Holly, Cynthia, Robert, Christopher, Laura, Paul and Jeffrey. Great-grandfather Daddy Ago of Maxwell, Noah, Gwenyth, Avery and Elle. He will be sadly missed by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters as well as his extended family and friends in Canada, the United States and the Philippines. He was a retired Colonel in the Philippines Air Force. He served in WWII and survived the Bataan Death March. He sacrificed his successful life in the Philippines for his family by moving to Canada in 1974 for the future of his children. If you so desire, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 and Monday, September 1, 2014 from 3-5p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Veteran Service under the auspices of the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee at Monday 4:00 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Tuesday 9:45am leaving from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to St. Alphonsus Church for Mass at 10:30.
