Dorothy Isabel MacKenzie (née Graham) of Listowel and formerly of Culross Township, passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 in her 99th year.

Beloved wife of the late Brock MacKenzie (1957).

Dear mother of John MacKenzie (Carol) of Kitchener, Dorla Cassidy (Graeme) of Teeswater, Rennae Taylor (Malcolm) of Auckland, New Zealand, Allan MacKenzie (Heather) of Windsor and Mary Kay MacKenzie of Listowel.

Missed by her 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents Angus and Betsy (née McMurchy) Graham, brothers Rennie Graham and Allan Graham (Elsie) and sisters, Margaret McInnes (Gordon), Mary Snowe (James), Anna Robinson (Hawkes) and Jean Lowndes (John).

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A private family service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at the funeral home on Sunday.

Interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.

Pearl Irene Brindley (née Miller) of Riversdale, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the late Gerald Brindley who predeceased her in 1993.

Dear mother of Clifford Brindley (Mary) of Culross Township, John Brindley (Lorrie) of Hanover, Bonnie Cole (David) of California, Patricia Johnson of Walkerton and Sherry Caldwell (Roger) of Bruce Township.

Missed by daughter-in-law Kathryn Brindley of Kinloss, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Fondly remembered by her sister Marie Sherran (James), brother Tom Miller (Marj) all of Woodstock, sisters-in-law Largret McInnes of Kincardine and Donelda Miller of Walkerton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son Charles Brindley (1998), son-in-law James Johnson (2001), parents James and Beatrice (née Potter) Miller, 8 brothers, 3 sisters and 3 siblings in infancy.

Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with Ann Maycock officiating.

Interment Durham Road Baptist Cemetery.

It is with great sadness to announce the sudden death of Doug on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 of Holland Centre, formerly of Toronto, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of 42 years to Nellie(nee VanDuivenbode). Loving father of Joel(Linda) of Toronto and grandfather of Isabella and Victoria. Fondly remembered by Bradley(Brenda) Jefferies of Uxbridge and their children Wilson and Madeline. Dear brother of David, Daniel(Debbie) and the late Dennis.

Doug was born in Weston, Toronto on April 25, 1947 to the late June and Wilfred Morgan. He spent his childhood working farms in Brampton and enjoying the outdoors, he adored the rural life style. After working over 35 years in Oakville, Brampton and for the city of Toronto as a building inspector. He built many great relations in various trades over this time. His great passions were family, hunting and fishing. Doug and Nellie bought their dream property in Holland Centre in 2004, which brought him back to the country life he much adored.

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, George passed at home in Flesherton on Monday, July 31, 2017 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of over 66 years to Olive(nee Taylor). Loving father of David(Kathryn Blundon) of Newfoundland, Paul(Wilda) of Flesherton, Lyn Allen(Chris Kastein) of Dundalk and the late Leslie Allen. Loved and remembered as grandpa to Kris(Jill), Jessica, Aimee(Jeff) McEachern, Lauretta, Danielle(JP) Smits, Natalie(Isaac) Pascucci, Justin and Bailey Trudgeon. Fondly remembered by his great grandchildren Killian, Elijah, Madeline, Rachael, Josh, Josiah, Liam, Gabrielle and Sophia. Dear brother of Jack(Joyce) Allen of England. George will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

George was born in London, England on February 5, 1932 to John and Rose Allen. He met the love of his life and they married there in 1950. They, along with the two boys, moved to Canada in 1959 and expanded their family. George discovered he had a knack for talking and turned that into a very successful career in sales.  George received an award as the top insurance salesman in North America for Prudential Insurance Company.  He was a dynamic salesman for Mascot Truck Parts and in his retirement George was able to use his sales and people skills and turn it into a successful antique business called Cobwebs Antiques in Flesherton.

The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton, on Friday from 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11am from the funeral home chapel. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Flesherton Cemetery at a later date. Please join us on Saturday July 29th, 2017 at 4pm to celebrate the life of Tim “Red” Thompson. To honour Tim we are gathering at his home, a place that he was proud of, and loved very much. At the memorial, we invite you to share your stories and fondest memories of Tim alongside his family and friends.
As Tim would have wanted, please come as you are and stick around for an evening filled with good food, fun times and lots of reminiscing.
Tim’s mischievous smile and helping hands will be missed at his usual hangouts, Shallow Lake Service Center and the Saddle Tramp club house.
A formal, joint interment alongside his Mom Georgina will take place in September 2017 at Sanctuary Park in Toronto for those that are unable to attend his celebration of life in Shallow Lake.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna (nee Dougherty ), two daughters Terri (Rick Bowhey) ofMinnessing, Tammy (Bill Martin) of Appleton, Wisconsin, three granddaughters Kate (Rob McGibbon) and Sarah (Mark Mo? ett) both of Barrie, and Allison of Appleton, Wisconsin. Bert was the proud great grandpa of Jack and Luke McGibbon.

He was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Jane Waddell and his parents in law Robert and Norma Lessard, his sisters Elizabeth (Betty) and Eileen Crisp (late Frank). Died peacefully at Watford Quality Care on Monday, June 12, 2017.  BETTY JOHNSON (nee Mitchell), formerly of Petrolia, was in her 88th year.   Betty was the wife of the Earl Johnson (2008).  Betty will be missed by her children Hope Springer and Jim West of Wingham, Rick Johnson of Brampton, Larry and Dianne Johnson of Cornwall, Tim Johnson of Mississauga, Jamie and Aggie Johnson of Georgetown.  She was a loved grandmother to ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her son-in-law Dave Springer (2010), a granddaughter Rayanne (2001) and a great granddaughter Alexis.    Betty is the daughter of the late Andrew and Lillian Mitchell, a sister to the late Wilbert (Shirley) Mitchell (2016), Jim (the late Sonja) Mitchell, Lil Hoskins, Marie (the late Don) DeKeyser, Reta (the late Jack) McLean, Donna (the late Cliff) Oliver, and Doris (Ed) Storey.   She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Marion (Joe) Allison.   A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 12:30 pm from the Enniskillen Community Centre, 3068 Main St., Oil City.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Lambton Elderly Outreach (lambtonelderlyoutreach.org).  Memories and condolences may be shared on-line at www.needhamjay.com.

Peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Errinrung Nursing Home in Thornbury, formerly of Duncan in her 84th year. Irene is the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Wellington Knox. Born in St. Vincent Township on April 16, 1934 to the late John and Pearl McDonald. Dear sister of Helen(Al) Dales, Alex(June) McDonald, David(Joan) McDonald and sister in-law of Muriel Hewgill. Loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She is predeceased by sister Yvonne Wilson Walsworth(Jim Wilson and Bob Walsworth), brother Murray(Armol), sister in-law Hazel McNichol(Scottie), brother in-law Nobel Knox(Joan McBean) and Floyd Hewgill.

Irene was born in St. Vincent Township but moved to Collingwood Township as a teenage  and lived there for the rest of her life. She was a teacher for over 30 years in various schools in the township. She will always be remembered as generous in nature and devoted to her family, friends and community.

A celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Kolapore Calvary Church of the Nazarene at 11:00am. Cremation and interment with Lloyd at the Clarksburg Union Cemetery have taken place. Murray Black of Durham passed in Owen SoundMurray, of Allan Park, passed away suddenly with Kay, Tricia and Steve by his side, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in his 73rd year. Born in Markdale, Ontario on January 4, 1945 to the late Malcolm and Pearl Black.

Dear brother to Charles and Beatrix Black, Ann and Ralph Hollis and brother in-law to Carol Black and Kay Black. Predeceased by his sister Marie and brothers Raymond and Bill and infant daughter. Haggard will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Sadly missed by son Kevin Black of Guelph, daughters  Marcie(Garth) Lowry of Sawyerville, Quebec, Deanna(Ashly) Geraghty of Yellowknife, North West Territories, and son Gary. Loving grandfather of Patrick, Kimberly, William, Alexandria, Katherine and Andrea.

Murray worked 45 years as a heavy equipment operator and continued this work right up to last week. Known as Haggard for his love and skill with the guitar, and thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing. He took great pride in property, constantly planting trees and keeping the cedar hedges trimmed.

Spirited niece of Lindsay(Dustin) McIntyre, Lisa(Jeff) Bullock, Katie Stephenson, Matthew Wickens, Tiffany McFaul, Andrew Taylor, Donny(Rachelle)Lundy and Darryl(Jen) Lundy. Ayla loved her 4-H club and had great pride in showing her sheep. Beyond her passion for agriculture she loved sports, spending many hours playing hockey and baseball as well as biking and swimming; a happy, friendly young lady who loved to dance, listen to music and was a great friend to many.

Peacefully, with her family by her side, our dear daughter, sister and aunt, Patricia (Pat) Louise Habart of London passed away on April 18, 2017, just shy of her 73rd birthday.  Predeceased by her father Horace Habart (2003).  Dearly loved and sadly missed by her mother, Lillian Habart (nee Vernon) of London, sister Susan Peacock (Jim Price) of Rodney, nephews Barry Peacock, Jamie (Joanne) Peacock all of London, and Ryan (Elsa) Peacock of Dutton.  Special Aunt to Addy, Ben, Blake and Cate.  Pat was a kind and giving soul who dedicated most of her life to the care and well-being of her Mom and Dad.

Beloved wife of the late Magnus “Mac” Voisin who predeceased her on February 28th, 2015.

WITHERSPOON:  Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at her residence, on April 7, 2017, Ruth Julene (Schade) Witherspoon, of Grand Bend, age 78.  Beloved wife of the late Carl Lewis Witherspoon (1990).  Loved mother of Randy Witherspoon and Marlyn Wein of Minto, Teri Lynn Witherspoon and the late Blair Tisdale of London, Tami Lee and Brad Daters of Lucan, Todd Witherspoon of Grand Bend.  Cherished grandma of Aaron and Kaley Daters and the late David Daters (2001).  Dear sister and sister-in-law of Jack and Nile Schade, Bob Park and Anne Schade.  Predeceased by her parents Erwin and Greta (Horner) Schade, sister Carol Park and brother Bill Schade.  Ruth was born in Dashwood, raised her family on a farm near Crediton and retired to Grand Bend.  Resting at the T. Harold Irvin Voisin of Teeswater, passed away with family by his side, at Wingham & District Hospital, on Monday, April 3rd, 2017, in his 69th year.

Beloved husband of Joan Voisin (Campbell) (née Radcliffe) of Teeswater.

Missed by his siblings Shirley Hehn (Jim) of St. Clements, Ruby Kee (Ken) of Oshawa, Liz MacKeand (Verdun Huber) of Walkerton, Joan Hodgins (Wayne) of Walkerton, Harvey Voisin (Ann) of Walkerton, Lynda Hodgins (Brian) of Calgary, Audrey Beninger (Clarence) of Teeswater and Donna Zettler (Rick) of Teeswater.

Fondly remembered by Joan’s son Chris Fournier (Lisa) of Burlington and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Robert John “Bob” Meyer formerly of Teeswater at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, surrounded by family, on Sunday, March 26th, 2017, at the age of 84.

Beloved husband of Joan Meyer (née Kuntz) of Teeswater.

Dear father of Judy Gowland (Jim) of Culross Township, Nancy Walters (Mark) of Strathroy, Larry Meyer (Michelle) of Teeswater and Tim Meyer (Deb) of Culross Township.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jamie Gowland (Marcie), Jake Gowland (Alley), Andrea Cordes (Josh), Tiara Gowland (Mark), Holly Hanna (Matt), Shannon Schiestel (Rob), Tori Walters (Steve), Jordine Meyer (Andrew), Nash and Tanner Meyer and Craig and Alli Meyer and 5 great-grandchildren, Becksen, Cameron, Dawson, Leo and Natalie.

Fondly remembered by siblings, Jim Meyer (Anna) of Toronto, Louise Ormond of Hamilton and brother-in-law Ed Klick of Burlington.

Trevor Schneider of Mildmay, passed away with family by his side, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at the age of 47.

Beloved husband and best friend of Jennifer Schneider (née Haelzle).

Loving father of Derek and Amber Schneider.

Cherished son of Gary and Carol Schneider.

Peter Bassitta passed away peacefully in his home with his entire family by his side on Friday March 24th, 2017, just 5 days before his 89th birthday.
He will always be remembered by the love of his life, Leonore, who were together for 53 years, his 3 girls and their families, |Barbara and Mike Minnick and daughters,|Carolyn and Natalie, Susanne and Del Wilmot and their children, Jenna and Graham, and Nicola and Scott Osborne and their children, Peter and Erin, and nephew Juergen Trotz.
He was a WW II vet and immigrated to Canada in 1956 and began his new life in Toronto. He soon married Leonore in 1965 and together had 3 girls in the years following. They purchased their dream farm in Proton Station in 1975 and over the years made it the centre of all of the family, and where he remained until his final days. He always said he was the richest man on earth, all he needed was his family by his side, good food, good beer and a wonderful home to enjoy them all in.
The family would like to thank Dr. Winfield for his kindness and caring over the years, the Waterloo Wellington CCAC and all the wonderful nurses, |PSW’s and all the kind caring people that helped so much when he needed it the most. Surrounded by the love of his family, he was able to make his final journey with comfort and dignity.

BINGEMAN MOULE, Ruth (nee Shipp), of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at her residence, the Valleyview Home on Friday, March 24, 2017, in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late John S. “Jack” Bingeman (1967) and the late Howard Moule (2002).  Dearly loved mother of Janice Bingeman Brown (Dr. Alan G. Brown) of Southport, NC.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher Brown (Ruth Steele) of Concord, CA, Colin Brown of Wilmington, NC, and Heather Hill (Michael) of Sterling, VA.  She was proud of her great grandchildren, Connar, Jenna and Nathan Brown of Concord, CA.  Dear sister of the late Jean Cookson.  Special aunt of Kelly Cookson (Barb) of Port Stanley, and Harry Cookson (Marg) of St. Thomas, as well as several other nieces and nephews.  Also fondly remembered by Kathy Weldon, her sons, Tyler, Kevin, and Jeremy Moule, and their families, and by dear friend, Millie Wolfe.  Born in St. Thomas, July 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late H.A. “Harry” and Rosetta (nee West) Shipp.  Ruth formerly worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Daniel R. Nolan.  She was a member of New Vision Community Church, United Church of Canada.  While Ruth was a member of Grace United Church, St. Thomas, she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the Rainbow Unit.  She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, being a member of Golden Acres Chapter #305, Shedden, and a former member of Central Star Chapter #57, St. Thomas. The funeral service will be held at the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Public visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Ralph Peter Weishar of Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, formerly of Teeswater and Culross Township, passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017, two days short of his 97th birthday.

Born in Carrick Township on March 23rd, 1920 to the late Andrew and Margaret (née Schumacher) Weishar.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Rose (née Reinhart) in 1989.

Father and father-in-law of Reg (deceased 1996) (Donna) of Teeswater, Andrew (Doris) of Gowanstown, Ted of Teeswater, Mary Lou Kretz of Listowel, Allan (MaryAnn) of Barrie, Anita Stothers (Ron) of Ayr, Ralph (deceased 2007) (Karen) of Stratford, Frank (Marlene) of Mildmay, Joe (Brenda) of Listowel, Merv (Brigitte) of Chatham, Dan (Liz) of Wroxeter, Jeanette (Paul) Wilke of Harrisburg Pennsylvania, Paul (Joanne) of Listowel, Karen Ruetz (Ed) of Hanover , Dave (Gail) of Teeswater, Gary (Joanne) of Bluevale, Steve of Durham, Ray (Cheryl) of Kitchener, and Darrel (Jan) of Teeswater.

Survived by 50 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by two grandsons, Kenny Weishar and Dean Weishar, son–in-law Conrad Kretz, great-grandson Tyler Dietz, brother Ray Weishar and sister Mary Beninger (Frank).
