Born in Manchester England February 25, 1921, she came as a War Bride in 1943 as the wife of Edward (1978); Loving mother of David & Julie, Shannon Sloan & Frank, Bryn & Rita, and the late Christopher (1995) and Kenneth (1994) survived by wife Irene. Dear Grannie of Eric & Shannon, Scott & Melissa Sloan, Tricia & Rick Scott, Kyrsten & Mike Burns, Bryn, Evan, Wesley & Mitchell. Great Gran of Jack & Max, Aidan & Andrew, Emerson & Hannah and Owen. Dearest friend of the late Joyce Hope (2014) & Jean Smythe. Sister-in-law to Harry Faulkner; Ken Ossington; many nieces & nephews in England; Ohio and Canada. Linda was a long time employee of Lakeview Pharmacy, Tecumseh Big V. One who loved to volunteer behind the scene as a lifetime member of the Windsor Light Opera, Riverview & Malden Park Auxiliary. An avid reader and promoter of literacy, she was involved with the founding of Tecumseh Public Library. She loved the solitude of her gardens & a good cup of black tea. Cheerio Mum! A Memorial Service to celebrate Linda’s life will take place January 24, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at Families First East Windsor, 1065 Lauzon Road (519-969-5841).
