wintringhwebWith sadness in their hearts the family would like to announce the passing of  MARIE ANNE WINTRINGHAM (nee Power), age 80 of Corunna, on Thursday May 16, 2013.  Predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years Ralph Edwin Wintringham (2010). Loving mother of  Lynne Lademer and her husband John, Carol Laframboise and her husband Marc, Jill Wintringham and her husband Michael Norrish and Gayle Marie Dale and her husband Dave. Grandmother of  Deana, Carly, Santino, Alesandra, Alyssa, Taylor, James, Adam and Victoria, step-grandmother of Brock and Brandon, great grandmother of Jaxon and Payton, aunt of Larry Wintringham and his son Lee.  Marie was born and raised in New Brunswick and was the youngest of thirteen children. She moved to Sarnia at the age of twenty two  where she met the love of her life Ralph Edwin Wintringham. A Private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery at the Wintringham family plot . Memorial gifts to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated.

Jane was well liked and respected at the Manor, even though she was only a resident for two months and will be missed. Having worked over the years at Microtel/Automatic Electric and black and Decker. Jane is survived by her husband Angus MacDonald, son Paul (Mira) of Etobicoke, daughters Sandra MacDonald and Tanya Speight both of Toronto. Jane is also survived by her brothers Angelo (Paulette), Paul (Doris), Jean Claude, Jacques (Gaetane), sister’s Helen Sinard (Robert), Nicole Lavoie (Rosaire) and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Daniel.

Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Burgess) Bolton (1971) and the late Audrey (Pearce) Bolton (2011). Predeceased by his parents Neil and Evelyne Bolton and his grandson Brodie Stevens. Loving father of Kathleen McLachlan (Peter), Sandra Smith (Murray), David Bolton (Robin), Stephanie Stevens (Paul) and step-father of Sherrie and Helmut Rastel. Cherished grandfather of Emile Maxwell (Denis), Hugh McLachlan (Kyllie), Brian McLachlan (Miranda), Sarah Kerr (Alec), Kyle Smith, Russell Bolton, Frances Bolton (Simone), Wendy Bolton and Evan Stevens. Step grandfather of Steven Borthwick (Melissa), Kevin Borthwick (Chelsey) and Lisa Borthwick (Rob), and their children. Neil was a mechanical contractor and owner of Calcott Mechanical and partner in RNR Mechanical. He was a key contributor to the formation and ongoing operation of the Sarnia Mechanical Contractors Association holding many executive positions including President. Neil was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy seeing active sea duty during World War II on Corvettes. His enjoyment of the water carried on as he owned sailboats and was a long time member of the Sarnia Yacht Club.

A celebration of Neil’s life will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2013 with a memorial reception at the SMITH FAMILY CENTRE (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Lawson ObitLAWSON – Ronald “Pye” Douglas Lawson of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of the late Winifred Lawson (nee Jones).  Ron is survived by children Veronica (Glen) Walters of St. Thomas, Derek (Suzanne) Lawson of Hamilton, Jenefer LaForet of London; son-in-law Bill Prevost (the late Lesley) of London; grandchildren Wade (Carla) Walters of Toronto, Kyle (Rena) Walters of Winnipeg, Dana (Pete) Lawson of Hamilton, Geoff (Lynn) Lawson of Hamilton, Trevor LaForet of London, Heather (Alex) Prevost of London, Rachel Prevost of London; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and extended family in the USA.  Predeceased by Dorothy Lawson (nee Cousins), Joan Cullen, and three brothers.  Ron was wounded while serving in the Imperial Army in North Africa, and taken prisoner of war in Italy, then eventually repatriated.  He immigrated to Canada in 1947 and retired from General Motors in 1980. He was Past President and Branch Executive for the Western Ontario Branch of the War Amps; National Director and Member of the National Council of the War Amps.  Ron was an honoured recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal.  Friends and family will be received at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 11:00am to 12:00 noon. EVANS, Betty of Tobermory passed away at Toronto East General Hospital on Monday, May 6, 2013 in her 83rd year.  Cherished mother of Diane and her husband Niko Alexopoulos of Toronto and mother-in-law of Shirley Evans of Tobermory.  Much loved grandmother of Sarah Evans (Geoffrey Andress) of Tobermory and Katie-Rose (Joshua) Douglas of Dundas, Roula Alexopoulos (Josh Trenk), Zoe Alexopoulos (Martin Wojtunik) and Yurgo Alexopoulos all of Toronto and great grandmother of Avrey, Georgia-Rose, Bentley and Drew.  She will be sadly missed by her sister June (George) Taylor of Toronto and brothers Jack Kincaid of Toronto and Bill (Doris) Kincaid of Alliston.  Betty was predeceased by her husband Keith Sr. (December 2010), son Keith Jr. (February 2010) and parents Helen (Hastings) and William Kincaid.

Heather Cameron PhotoCAMERON- Heather Beatrice Cameron (nee MacRae) passed away at London Health Sciences Centre- Victoria Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at the age of 64.  Heather is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Terry Cameron of St. Thomas; her children Pamela (Paul) Cameron and her daughter Lindsay of St. Thomas, Terra Cameron (Terry) and their children Jordanne, Colin and Nathan of London, Tyler (Destiny) Cameron and their son Zachary of Toronto, Sharon Larson and her children Dallas, Hanna and Dayne of Alberta; her siblings Joey (Merle) Uglem of Camrose, Alberta, John (Patty) MacRae of Calgary, Alberta, Bonnie MacRae (Jim) of Manitoba, Janice MacRae of Alberta, Ken MacRae (Norm) of Calgary, Alberta; her close friends and caregivers Michelle, Brenda, and Shirley; and by her many other nieces and nephews.  Born in Calgary, Alberta on January 4, 1949, she is predeceased by her parents Peter MacRae and Catherine Goodwin.  Heather worked at Versa Foods in the Chrysler Canada Assembly Plant in Brampton while also working as a shop steward as her Union Rep at C.A.W. CROCKFORD - photo croppedPeacefully on April 26, 2013 at 11:30 p.m. at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Dennis Crockford passed away 9 days before his 90th birthday.  Beloved husband of Florence Dorothy Crockford (nee Campbell), who continues to live in Aurora, ON. Loving father of Carolyn Diane Dewulf and the late Gregory Creighton Crockford. Cherished grandfather of Christine, David and Shaun Dewulf; and Daniel, Chester, and Chelsea Crockford. Great Grandfather to Avery and Austin Maile; and Alexis and Lia Dewulf. Survived by nieces Mary and Jeanette and nephew Godfrey in England. Brother-in-law to Bruce, Evelyn and Rebecca Campbell and other relatives. Predeceased by sisters Doreen Bristow and Ada Ashley.
Dennis served in the RAF and was a member of the Air Force Association in Bomber Command in Sarnia. Dennis was the President and founder of the Sarnia Historical Museum with the help of many friends in Sarnia. Every Remembrance Day, Dennis was a presenter at all the High Schools in Sarnia for which he received commendation.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 to 2:00p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2013, with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, to honor Dennis on his birthday. Cremation has taken place. Predeceased by her loving husband Charles Wayne Sharpe (2006). Dear mother of Michael Sharpe and his wife Lidia of Burlington, Steve Sharpe and his wife Eva and Kelly Joseph and her husband Luke all of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Traci, Chantelle, Lyndsay, Shawna, Stephanie, Ashlee, Krista, Tyler, and Haley and will be also missed her many great grandchildren.
