Campbell, Wanda – peacefully, surrounded by her family, at QHC – Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in her 71st year.  Daughter of the late Albert and Jeannette McCron.  Beloved wife of Roger Campbell of Belleville.  Loving mother of Wendy (Vincent) Peccitto of Las Vegas, Deborah (Philip) Blandin of Nova Scotia, Georgina (Patrick) Trites of Carvel, AB and Michael (Jay) Arthur of Colfax, IN.  Wanda is remembered by her grandchildren; Robert, Crystal, Michael, Jim, Heather, Holly, Patrick, David, Kayla, and Peyton and by her great grandchildren; Jalen, Cole, Jayla Rain, Joshua and Leland.  Dear sister of; Hope McCron (Charles Appelbe), Rene (Carol) McCron, Pamela (Victor) Yountz, Julia (Dennis) Hare, all of the Parry Sound area, Randolph (Robyn) McCron, Gregory (Cara) McCron and Miles (Carrie) McCron.  Predeceased by her sister Dawn Dunkley and by her brother Malcolm McCron.  She is fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Brintnell, Ruth Lillian – on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in her 92 year.  Daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Brintnell formerly of Plainfield.  Ruth is survived by her brothers, Harold Brintnell of Madoc and Joseph (Barbara) Brintnell of Ottawa. She is predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Ruby and Kathleen Brintnell.  Ruth is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews; Leigh Brintnell of Madoc, Lesley Ann (Gene) McCambridge of Barry’s Bay, Larry (Karen) Brintnell of Batawa, Susan (Vince) Palermo of Port Perry, Vince (Karen) Brintnell of Stirling and great nieces and nephews; Charlie, Tom, Kiara, Justin, Kari, Leigh, Eric, Tara-Kay, Amelia and Logan. Ruth retired from teaching at Albert College in 1976 after nearly 20 years of service. She then took her skills to the Belleville Corby Library, Reference Department until 1987 where she also ran the Visiting Library for Shut-ins.  She was a longtime volunteer with St. John Ambulance and in 1976 was invested to the Order of St. John as Serving Sister with a lifetime rank as Officer Sister. 

A Memorial Service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 until the time of service.  Inurnment at Foxboro Cemetery.

Scott.  Mother of Larry, Cordova; Ron (Linda), Calgary and Lois (Rob) Bastedo, Stirling.  Grandmother of Michelle and Tanya Scott, Ryan and Lisa Scott, and Kevin and Kim Bastedo.  Predeceased by her brothers Carman and Gerald Bailey, sister-in-law Helen Bailey and brother-in-law Doug Scott.  She is survived by her sisters-in-law Edith Bailey and Doris (Alan) Baxter.

Hinderle, Elizabeth – of Quinte Gardens and formerly of Lemoine Street, peacefully at Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013. Daughter of the late Josef and Katharina Gottstein of Germany. Predeceased by her two brothers, Anton and Eugene. Survived by Wilf (Lynn) of Toronto, Gunter (Deanna) of Aldergrove, BC, Bianca (Randy) Brown of Foxboro and Terry (Annette) of Surrey, BC. Proud grandmother of; Joel, Danna (Bryan) Hinderle, Alex (Angie) and Graeme (Monika) Brown, Lindsay (Paul) Fyke and Melissa and Darren Hinderle. Doting great-grandmother (Oma) of Jordan, Noah and Caleb Hinderle, Alexander and Christopher Brown, Hunter, Andrew and Ryan Fyke, and William Brown.

At Elizabeth’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and there will be a family interment at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. Elizabeth’s family would like to thank; her Parkdale neighbours for their years of support, the Smile program and Community Care Services, the staff at Quinte Gardens and Doctors Knarr and Smith and the tremendous nursing staff of BGH Level 4.

Synopsis: Janice Margaret Featherston was born June 30, 1949 into a military family and spent her early years on her grandparents’ farm while her father served his country in Korea. Following his return from the war, the family led a typical military nomad life with postings in Petawawa, Winnipeg and Ottawa among others. She became the typical ‘Army Brat’ and maintained the ‘Brat’ part well beyond the early years.

Following her graduation from Woodroffe High in Ottawa (’68), Jan attended the University of Western Ontario where she was granted a Bachelor of Music, Honors in Music Education (’72) and a Diploma in Education, Post Baccalaureate Program, Althouse College (’73). Armed with her unstoppable desire to teach High School music, Jan responded to a note on the bulletin board at Althouse and soon became one of the founding faculty of what has become the world-renowned Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe College. During her tenure, she touched the lives of the vast majority of the students that passed through the halls, many of whom have gone on to be some of the most creative and influential leaders of the international music industry.

Jan was principled woman who wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she believed and did so regularly with an amazing combination of tenacity and compassion. She was true leader whose greatest joy was watching others grow and flower, a real scrapper; who won every battle she took on, except one. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Borrie and the team at the Aging Brain and Memory Clinic at Parkwood Hospital, Betsy Little and everyone at the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex, and all the staffs at both Horizon Place Retirement Residence and McGarrell Place Long Term Care for all their compassionate and professional support throughout this ordeal.

A remembrance will be held at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London Ontario between 7:00 and 9:00 PM on Friday April 12. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society London & Middlesex www.alzheimerlondon.ca.

Déry, Steve Const. – Passed away tragically in the line of duty, on March 2nd, 2013 at the age of 27. Loving son of Gilles and Céline. Dear brother of Mathieu and Benoit (Joelle Martin), best friend and life partner of Amanda Tukirqi. Steve will be greatly missed by his grandparents André and Gilberte Déry, his uncles, aunts, cousins, colleagues and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans, on Friday, March 8th, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, 385 Sussex Dr. Ottawa. Huff, Leatha Locina (formerly MacInroy, Nee Hoover) – peacefully at Westgate Lodge on Monday, February 25, 2013 in her 101st year.  Daughter of the late Herbert & Aughty Hoover.  Wife of the late Frank Huff and the late John MacInroy.  Loving mother of Beverly Adams of Stirling.  Cherished grandmother of Sandra Sanders, Sharon (James) Coe, Susan Adams and Steven Adams.  She is also remembered by 7 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Leatha is predeceased by her sister, Lulu Reid and her brother, Stewart Hoover.

Friends are invited to call at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 28th at 1:30 p.m. (with visitation from 12:30 until the time of service). Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at 58 years of age.  Beloved wife of 33 years to Ken Topping.  Cherished mother of Sheryl(Mark), Blain(Lucy).  Devoted grandmother to Brooke-Lynn, Jordyn, Taylor, Matthew and Lily.  Adored sister of Carol(Dave), David(Lori), Sharon(Richard), Linda(Eugene) of Edmonton, Debbie(Garey), Doug(the late June), Donald and Ray. Loved daughter-in-law of Bessie(Ken). Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  The family will receive friends at the PAUL G. Goodfellow, Darrell – peacefully at QHC-Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in his 44th year.  Beloved son of Garry (JoAnne) Goodfellow of Belleville and Carolyn (Ken) Skiba of Oshawa.  Grandson of May Embury of Belleville.  Loving husband of Becky Goodfellow of Belleville.  Proud father of Brittany, Olivia and Jillian and grandfather of Orion.  Dear brother of Shawn and Melissa Goodfellow both of Belleville.  Darrell is remembered by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Daughter of the late Manley & Mabel DeWitt.  Beloved wife of the late Wilmot Embury.  Loving mother of Carolyn (Ken) Skiba of Oshawa, Mya (Gene) Sherman, Ted (Judy) Embury both of Corbyville and Kathy Embury of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Chris (Marla) Sherman, Corey (Marilyn) Sherman, Robinette Sherman, Shawn Goodfellow, Melissa Goodfellow, Aimee (Mark) Abrams, Charlotte (Brian) Hopwood, Elliot (Michelle) Embury, Emily Embury, Leslie (Bill) Graansma, Katie Skiba, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson..  Predeceased by her grandson Darrell Goodfellow (Becky Goodfellow surviving) on February 12, 2013, by her sister Irene Denison and by her brothers Elvin and Clarence DeWitt.

With the love of her family around her Mildred went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the age of 77 years.  Beloved wife of the late Jim Hogan.  Loving mother of Donna Stever(Peter), Elaine Hunter(late Murray), Bonnie Hogan(Wally Hull), Donald (Lorie).  She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Sister of William Kilgannon and the late Jean Franklin.  Sister-in-law of Mary Woodman(Lyle), aunt of Donald Franklin(Pat) and special friend to Don and Eleanor Brown.  We will miss her love, support and super natural energy.  The family will receive friends at the PAUL G.
