Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Monday, December 1, 2014, at Bluewater Health, Elizabeth Laanstra was taken home to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 94. Born on July 16, 1920 in Opende, The Netherlands. Beloved mother of Peter (Martha), Betty (Alan) Fangeat, and the late Shirley Buchner. Deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 1281 Exmouth St, Sarnia, on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A private interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery. Cherished mother of Stewart Lucier (Marlis Begin) and Scott Lucier (Marilyn). Loving grandmother of Scott (Laura), Derek (Melissa), Tim (Pam), David (Jessica) and Ken. Proud great-grandma of Tim, Tucker, Owen, Oliver and Star. Loving sister of Patricia and brothers Fred (Bea) and Dennis (Sharon). Predeceased by her parents Fred and Genevieve Phelps and sisters Carol and Alma. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dear brother of Shirley Chevalier (Charles) and brother-in-law of Duane Quick (Leda). Carl was a lifetime farmer who loved being outdoors. Cherished father of Ryan and wife Jill of Keswick and Chad (Angela) of Seattle. Proud Pepe of Neve and Kai. Eldest son of Claureda and the late Alphonse. Dearest brother of Gary (Jeanette), Michelle (Ray), Brent (Donna), Emily (Terry), John (Cindy) and brother-in-law to Alvin (Julie), James (Deanna), Marilyn (Charlie), Honourable Rommel (Linda) and Marie (Larry). Guy will be sadly missed by Godmother Zoe, Anthony and many nieces and nephews. He will be forever remembered for his love of family and passion for golf where many memories were made. In the face of a 3 year long battle with pancreatic cancer, Guy dedicated his time to family, travelling and enjoying all that life had to offer. Survived by John Nethery and her children, Joanne Barfett of Strathroy and Tom Carr of Sarnia, grandchildren Penny (Rob) Rosen, Jennifer (Mike) Lloyd, Ted (Irana) Barfett, Patricia Carr and her great grandchildren Mitchell, Jacob and Sam. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Ada Belle Trestain, Ida May Hathaway, Manetta Henry, William Tanner, James Tanner, Anna McDowell, Jean Brazeau and Arnold Tanner.
