Pare Monique “Monica” Jeanne Paré, of Maidstone, in her 62nd year, at Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette Campus on Sunday, January 31, 2016, after a lengthy illness. Beloved eldest daughter of Theresa May Paré (nee Desjardins) and the late Arthur Paré (1983). Soulmate, best friend and companion of Robert (Bob) Roy of Windsor. She loved Bob’s children Robbie & Kristy, Candace & Jason and Jennifer and their families as her own. Cherished sister of Denise Paré Watson and husband Harold of Kelowna, BC; Yvonne Phillion and husband Robert of Victoria, BC; Deanne Spivey and husband Brian of Burford, ON and Anne Marie Paré, of Colchester, ON. Monica will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews Erin, Meredith, Jennifer, Jordan, Jim, Thomas, Dan, Sarah, Meghan and Hayley and by a very special grand-nephew Christopher. She will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Aunt Cecile and Uncle Frank Paré and Aunt Rose Croteau and their families. Monica was a long-time employee of the University of Windsor in the Leddy Library. She loved her life and struggled valiantly to stay with us, enduring much pain and hardship along the way. She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s parish where she was a proud member of the Associates, and had many amazing friends who stood by her side to the end, especially Fr. Maurice Charbonneau, Kolleen Fuerth and Jean Dumouchelle. Our family would like to extend a very special thank you to nurse Lori Ranchuk of Bayshore Homecare, who attended Monica on an almost daily basis for over a year and became an instant family friend. Monica was so grateful for the care she received from all of the exceptional doctors and nurses who attended to her needs over the years, including Dr McFarlane Sr. and Jr., Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Quan, Dr. Anees and Dr. Mehta, and in her final hours, Nicole in Intensive Care where she showed care and compassion to the family. John passed away peacefully at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor after a three week battle with cancer. He is the son of Stanley (Geraldine 1992) and Carol Anne. John is survived by his life long partner Rick Lee, by his brothers Randy (Anne), Rick (Cathy) and sisters Christine (Mark) and Patricia (Malcolm). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. John spent the last 30 years in Michigan practicing Architecture. He was self employed. She was predeceased by her sisters Andree and Mierelle. Ginette spent many years serving the parishes of St. Philips, Petrolia and Holy Rosary, Wyoming in the pastoral care and bereavement ministry. Mrs. Margaret “Maggie” Beatrice Mills, a resident of Wallaceburg, formerly of Willowdale, Ontario passed away on Wednesday , February 3, 2016 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus, in Chatham, at the age of 82.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, Ontario.

Cremation will take place.

A Funeral Service will be held at a later date in Willowdale where Maggie’s final resting place will be with Albert.

Peacefully at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care on January 30th, 2016, Taft Aziz a retired business man in his 100th year lost his long and courageous battle with dementia.  He leaves his beloved sister Mrs. Julie (late Elias) Bourisk of Maine and London, who cared for him for 17 years. Other survivors include his sister-in-law Josephine Aziz and her children Charles, Susan, Sandra, Peter, his wife Kate and their daughter Ellery of Toronto, as well as several nieces and nephews from Worcester, MA and Syracuse, NY. He was a patriarchal figure, an uncle and father figure to his nieces and nephews in London.  He lived a full and long life in the only city he knew as home.  As a young man of 20 he took over his father’s wholesale fruit business during the early 30s and 40s.  When his father died at the age of 61, he gave up the fruit business and entered the Empire House, and retired at 55 and then went into real estate.  He was well known to many in London, having contributed greatly to charitable organizations and business development.  In keeping with Tafts wishes, our thanks to all the wonderful nurses, staff and doctors for the extraordinary, high quality of care they provided over the past 11 months with the dignity, the care, the comfort and compassion during his stay at Westmount Gardens and Victoria hospital. Taft was a long time member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Friends will be received by the family at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 10 – 11 am, prayers at 11:15 am. Chrusch, Lisa Marie (Radford) – passed away on Tuesday February 2nd, 2016 in her 53rd year at the home of her parents Sye and Marilyn Radford. Predeceased by her grandparents Fred and Blanche Radford and Harry and Evelyn Carleton. Dear sister of Wendy (Doug) Ferrin and Rory (Pamela) Radford. Much loved aunt of Andrew and Jamie Ferrin, Ian, Hillary and Michael Radford. She is predeceased by niece Meghan Radford. Lisa will be missed by her aunts, uncles and many cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeff Allin and the V.O.N. Nurses for all their T.L.C. and to our family and friends for their love and support.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5.00 to 8.00 p.m. at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273). The Memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday February 9th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Lisa’s cousin, Martin Walt officiating. At Lisa’s request, cremation has taken place. A spring inurnment will be held in the spring at Stirling Cemetery. Following the Memorial Service a reception will be held at the Steele Family Centre.
