JONES, Karen- Peacefully at home, with her husband by her side on November 27, 2015.  Beloved wife of Ken for 46 years.  Loving mother of Ken Jr.  Proud grandmother of Eric.  Mother-in-law of Lisa.  Dear sister of Wayne Brown (Pat) and sister-in-law of Ron Jones (Susan).   Predeceased by her parents Vera and Stephen Brown and her brother Gary Brown.

Karen was a secretary for the DSBN for 35 years, retiring in 2013.

Karen is at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street where her family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Cremation to follow with private family interment.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara Railway Museum.

ToddIt is with great sadness that the family of Leonard Brian Todd of Glencoe announces his passing on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Carol Lynn Todd for 42 years. Loving and devoted father of Kevin Todd (Angela), Darren Todd (Lynda) and Cyndy Cassidy. Proud and much loved grandfather of Kaden, Gracie, Tyler, Ben, Nathan, Ryan, Daylon and Jordan. Dear brother to Larry Todd (Lois). Predeceased by his parents Melvin and Barbara. Len enjoyed everything automotive and rebuilding classic cars was his passion. He was a master carpenter using his skills to successfully establish his own company, LBT Home Improvements, to improve the quality of life for everyone. When he wasn’t swinging a hammer, he enjoyed time spent on the golf course with his boys. Everyone who had the opportunity to share his life will sadly miss him. In keeping with Len’s wishes Cremation has taken place. Brother-in-law to Janet McCulloch of London. Predeceased by his brother Richard ‘Dick’ and sister Helen ‘Alwy’ Pevler. Born in Exeter, Ontario, on October 27, 1925 to Canon Ashlyn Trumper and Helen Mary Trumper (née Dillon). Bob graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Honours Economics in 1949, where he also helped manage the Western Mustangs football team. Bob enjoyed a long career in the construction industry as owner of R.S. Trumper Roofing and Sheet Metal, and R.S. Trumper Construction Ltd. A former PUC Commissioner, Rotarian, Warden of St. Paul’s Cathedral, President of the London Curling Club, member of Elmwood Lawn Bowling Club and the London Hunt and Country Club, and one of the founders and a long-time member of the Bluewater Investment Club. Bob was blessed with many lifelong friends and business associates. For Bob, family was the centre of his life, and there was no place he enjoyed more than the family cottage in Oakwood, Grand Bend (Lake Huron), that his father purchased in 1925, and is now enjoyed by the 4th generation of Trumpers. A special sincere thank you to Bob’s second family these past four years on the Harris Wing at McGarrell Place, providing him with extraordinary care and compassion until the very end. ogg-webStuart Ogg, of Formosa, formerly of Hanover, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Brockton on Thursday, November 26, 2015, in his 87th year.

Born on April 25, 1929 in Guelph, Ontario to the late Charles and Annie (nee Cross) Ogg.  Stuart was a high school teacher at JDSS and enjoyed many games and bonspiels with the Hanover and Durham Curling Clubs.

Survived by his children Ellen McLean (Charles McLean) of London, Charlie (Susan) Ogg of Inverhuron and Elizabeth Ogg of Kincardine, grandchildren Desiree McLean (Justin Tetreau), Matthew (Amy) Stack-Mooney, Michael (Tori) Ogg, Jasmine Fidler and Angel Vahey, greatgrandchildren Mikaela and Marissa Vodden, James Ogg, Chelsey and Scarlett Stack-Mooney.  He is remembered by his friend Ellen (nee Roberts) Ogg of Hanover, nephew Paul Axman and niece Linda Axman.  Predeceased by his daughter Margaret Ann Ogg and sister Nancy Axman.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 2 – 4 pm. Cremation has taken place.

On Thursday, November 26, 2015, heaven was blessed with a beautiful woman. Edith was born on April 23, 1932, in Königsberg, Germany, to parents Kurt Erdmann and Charlotte Walter. Survived by brothers Heinz and Günter, and sister Erna. Predeceased by brothers Herbert and Horst, all in Germany. Aunt to several nieces and nephews in Germany. Edith will be dearly missed by her Canadian family. Best friend to Brigitte Brajac for over 50 years. Special Aunt to Christina, Fred, Nadine and Matthew. Edith earned her R.N. training in Germany. Edith and Brigitte moved to Canada in 1965. She worked for many years as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sarnia. Edith will be in our hearts forever. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 28, 2015, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Cremation to follow. Now at peace, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Margaret Katharina Mai passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 68. HAYDEN, Frances (nee LaForge), formerly of St. Thomas, ON and Florida, passed away at Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig, ON on Saturday, November 21, 2015, in her 86th year. Mother of Charlotte Downs (Michael) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Larry Hayden (Brandy) of Dandridge, TN, and Jim Hayden of Lake Clark Shores, FL. Grandmother of Jennifer, Jason, Sara, Jeremy, and Colt, and great grandmother of Eden and Loki. Also survived by in-laws that were dear to her heart and many nieces and nephews. She was the youngest and the last surviving member of her own immediate family, having been predeceased by twelve siblings. Born on April 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (nee Swick) LaForge. Frances was a loving and caring mother and will be sadly missed by her family. She will always be remembered with love for her ability to comfort those in need, and to make holiday memories special. She was an astute business woman during her years in Florida. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment of her cremated remains will be made in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Walsingham. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged. William Scott Mullay (Scott), born in Toronto, March 30th 1956 passed away the early morning of November 25, 2015 after a very courageous battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife, Frances Mullay, and his two sons, Michael and Phillip.

LOUKAS: Theodore “Terry” of London

Loukas (edited)Peacefully at University Hospital on Thursday, November 26, 2015, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Chloy Loukas. Predeceased by his first wife Angeliki Loukas (1966). Cherished father of Gus (Anne) Loukas and Georgina (John) Mihalopulos. Adored grandfather of George, Ted and Angelika Mihalopulos, and Ted, Angelika and Athena Loukas, and the late Jeremy Norris. Survived by his siblings Koula, Golfo and Aristides. Theodore Kostantinos Loukas was born on March 10, 1922, in Arachova Nafpaktias, Greece. He was the 5th oldest in the family, of 11 children. Terry was an officer in the underground resistance (better known as the Andartes), in the western part of Greece. The Resistance fighters along with special British forces succeeded in this mission together. In his later years, when he retired, Terry spearheaded the Antistasei organization here in London, Ontario. It was an organization he held dear to his heart, involving war veterans who devoted their time and fundraising efforts to many philanthropic causes. One of their most cherished causes was raising money for the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario, here in London. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday from 6:00-9:00 p.m., with prayers at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, 131 Southdale Road West, London, on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Dear sister of Ken Parsons (Rhoda), Clifford Parsons, Ann Knott , Melvin Parsons (Margaret), Lillian Batstone (Robert), Bob Parsons (Mary), Bill Parsons (Priscilla), Irving Parsons (Lili), Carson Parsons (Bernette) and Fred Parsons (Lorraine). Also survived by her brother-in-law Fred Dennis. Predeceased by her parents Stewart and Winnifred “Winnie” Parsons, her brother Gordon Parsons, her sisters Betty Jackson and Anita Dennis and her brothers-in-law ClarenceJackson and Clary Knott. Irene and her granddaughter Brooke loved to spend time together; Brooke much like her grandmother, whom possesses so many characteristics of leadership, love and caring for friends and family alike. Irene showed this through her many accomplishments over the years; she was a Life Member of the Kinette Club of London and President of the Board of Directors for Pine Lake Family Campground in Bayfield for 8 years. She was a recognized leader within the management team at Meadow Park for over 25 years. Suddenly, at his residence on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in his 44th year. Beloved son of Jim and Gerrie. Loving brother of Jim (Vicki) and Michelle. Cherished step-father of Sybyahnah and Lennon.
