DOTSCH, Daisy Eileen (nee Whitehall) – Passed away peacefully, at Springdale Country Manor, Peterborough, on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in her 100th year.  Daisy, beloved wife of the late Nicholas Dotsch (1974).  Loving mother of Rose Imeson, Richard Dotsch, Lee Gravlev (Terry Fitchett) and Julie Dotsch.  Proud Grandma of Dan Imeson (Julie), Ben Imeson (Gillian) and Matt Imeson (Marie Dietrich), Greg Dotsch (Anne Marie), Stephanie Basler (John), and Colin Gravlev (Tammy Lyle-Gravlev).  Great Grandmother of Rachel, Jacob, Rebecca, David, Sarah, Caden, Ava, Nicholas, Sabrina, Nicholas, Jason, Joshua, Sarah and Jaxon.  Sister of the late Bert Whitehall, Ernie Whitehall, Rena Gregory and Ron Whitehall. Retired Nursery School Teacher.  Founding member and the spirit behind Vaughan Road Co-operative Nursery School.  Award winning innovator and developer of the Co-operative Nursery Program in Ontario.  Part-time lecturer at Seneca College.  Author of two books.  Daisy loved to travel, garden, explore and learn.  Daisy’s strong faith carried her through many difficult times, and was a wonderful support for all of her family and friends. Kuchma Website PhotoKUCHMA - Stanley William of Sault Sainte Marie, and formerly Kenora, Ontario passed away suddenly at home on Friday, November 8, 2013 in his 68th year.  Stan “The Man” will be sadly missed by his children Laura Kuchma (Tim Teather), Robert Kuchma, Cheryl Million (Alex Ferrador), David (Robin) Kuchma.  Loving grandfather of Amy, Dana, Matt, Alyssa, Marlee and Taylar; great-grandfather of Jaesey-Rae. He will also be dearly missed by his many other family members and friends. Stan worked as a specialized operator at Tenaris Algoma Tube for many years.  Cremation has taken place, and there will be an informal Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Delhi, Ont. lane web picMy wife Marg, for 57 years of blessed marriage, left this earth on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She showed the most amazing strength, determination, and willpower to remain here, as long as she possibly could, to be with me and all of our family. I will miss everything about her. Marg and I did everything together. I cherished all of the moments Marg and I had with our family and friends through the years. I am forever blessed, that she chose me. Love, Ron.

Marg’s parents were Ernest and Margaret Mary Latour. Marg’s children and their partners are Sue Bryden (Kirk deceased), Brenda Vidmar, Kathy (Rob) Dutourgeerling, Rick (Tania) Lane, and Gail (Bill) Best. Marg’s grandchildren and their partners are: Dustin McCulloch (Trish Pollard), Brandon McCulloch (Jocelyne Doucet); Jeff Vidmar, Jenny (Adam) Connors, Reg Vidmar (Melissa Harris), Stephanie Vidmar (Dave Ronan), Josh and Hilary Dutourgeerling, and Kyren and Avery Lane. Marg’s great-grandchild is Stryfe Vidmar. Marg’s sisters and brothers and husbands and wives include: Hilda Latour (Sister Mary Julia), Roy Latour (Ann deceased), Earl Latour, deceased (Pauline deceased), Helen Blackmore, deceased (Fred deceased), Jack Latour, deceased (Ruth), Thelma Maheu, deceased (Jerry deceased), and Ernie Latour, deceased (Verna).  Marg loved Stanley and Seymour, who stayed by her side, bringing her much comfort and peace.

I have much gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Maddison, and all the staff, support workers and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, for all of their devotion and loving care shown to my wife and our family.

Beloved husband of the late Jessie Bearinger (nee Milne) for 61 years. Loving father of Karen (Willard) Martin of Elmira, David (Debbi) Bearinger of Mannheim, Jim (Barb) Bearinger of Petersburg, Judy (Peter) Osborne of BC, Susan (Richard) Cressman of New Hamburg, Larry (Karen) Bearinger of Tavistock and Kevin (Doris) Bearinger of Baden. Cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and much loved great-grandfather of 18 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Olive Brubacher, Reta Bearinger and Willard Bearinger.

Predeceased by a brother Melvin and sisters, Irene, Beulah, Mabel, Aleda and Violet.

Howard and Jessie were long-time members of Mannheim Mennonite Church. Howard was a diversified farmer in Mannheim, an avid gardener and woodworker.

Visitation will be held at the Mannheim Mennonite Church, 1494 Bleams Rd., Mannheim on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 16th from 1p.m. until 1:45. Soehner: Marshall George

Soehner, Marshall cropped Nov 13 2013Marshall George Soehner passed away peacefully after the Remembrance Day services on November 11, 2013 surrounded by his entire family. He is reunited in heaven with his dear and loving wife of 64 years, Rose (2012). He was the second son of Herman (1977) and Dora (1982) Soehner of Salem.

Marshall served his country proudly in the Canadian Army, RCEME from 1941-1945. Upon discharge, he established and operated Elora Frozen Foods for over a decade. He moved to Waterloo after marrying his sweetheart Rose Nahrgang and became a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He gave willingly of his time and talents to the work of the church and to the Waterloo community. He devoted his time serving on the Group Committee for the 8th Waterloo Cubs and Scouts, the St. John’s Sr. Citizens’ Home (Luther Manor), singing in the choir,  the Lutherwood organization and to the beautification of memorial flower beds around the city.  He was a past president of the Laurel Kiwanis Club and the Waterloo Horticultural Society, from which he was honoured with a life membership.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Cathy of Guelph and daughter Muriel of Waterloo. He was the loving Grandpa to Eric and Becky Soehner of Toronto and Jacob of Guelph. He was especially loved by his great-grandson Gavin. Loved brother of Tom (1992) and Audrey (2004) Soehner, Ervin (2012) and Gaye Soehner, Dorothy (2004) and Orval (1996) Arndt, Carl and Evelyn (2009) Soehner, Alice (2013) and Henry (2004) Chamberlain, Harvey Gerrie (1986) and Lila and Melvin Hill. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

 Visitation will be at the Erb & Good Funeral Home on Sunday November 17th from 2–4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church 22 Willow St., Waterloo on Monday November 18th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating.  

 A memorial service for the residents of Luther Village will be held at a later date.

 Blessed by having shared life with Robert, family said goodbye on November 11, 2013. Born October 19, 1931 in Kirkland Lake, ON to parents John & Hannah (predeceased). Brother of Edith (Rox) and Gladys (Wright) both predeceased and Fred of Scarborough. Married in 1954 in Blyth, ON to Jean (nee Cartwright) their lives were enriched by a dedicated and loving commitment to each other.

 Proud father to Ann Marie and late husband Robert Gorrie of Waterloo, Mary Lynn and husband Robert Mitchell of Grimsby and Ruth Arlene of Kitchener. Beloved grandfather to Candice and husband Ivan Tomasic of Waterdown, Andrew Mitchell of Burlington, Michael Panigas and wife Jennifer Kim Panigas of Toronto, Bianca Panigas and Alexander Panigas both of Vaughan. Step Grandfather Katie Mitchell-Mintz of Bowmanville and her children Maybelle & Evvelyn.

 Previously, served as Sergeant in the Algonquin Regiment, a reserve unit.

 Long Service employee of Public Works Canada responsible for technical services in Ontario. Especially proud of the engineering start up at Canadian Centre for Inland Waters and Gateway Postal Services.

 Past Noble Grand and long service member of I.O.O.F Unity Lodge $47 Hamilton, ON having served in many capacities and participated in many degrees in Ontario and the United States. Robert lived the principles of friendship, love and truth.

 Blessed by the communities of Kirkland Lake, Virginatown, Stoney Creek, Mississauga and Toronto. Forever grateful for the caring and compassionate community of Kitchener-Waterloo.

A former resident of Preston and a long-time resident of The Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, Rose passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Monday, November 11, 2013, in her 97th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Victor Ernest Haines in 1997.

Rose is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, Victor Haines and wife Penne, John Haines and wife Cheryl, Richard Haines and wife Soraya as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

As the last remaining member of her generation of the Bennett family, Rose was predeceased by her mother, Emily (nee Walsh); father, George W. Bennett; brothers, George, Ted, Arthur; and sister, Alice Griggs.

Rose was trained in England as a dress maker.  As an apprentice, Rose had the honour of working for a company which sewed for royalty.  In her later years, she worked for the Kaybee dress shop in Preston, ON where she custom fitted clothing for an exclusive clientele.

Cremation has taken place. Rose’s family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 1-1:45 p.m.  The memorial service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., Wednesday. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room.

 Loving wife of Lorne for 58 years.  Dear mother of Brenda (nee Huber) and her husband Terry Kirkby and Craig and his wife Cheri Huber.  Beloved grandmother of Ryan and his wife Rachel, Tyler, Brett, Chad and Cara.  Shirley will be fondly missed by many cousins.

 Predeceased by her parents Walter and Delphine Mansz.

 Shirley was a long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.  She volunteered many hours with the Lutheran Women of St. John’s, Coffee Hour and the library.

 Gordon, Jeanne cropped Nov 11 2013Passed away in Burlington ON, November 6, 2013. Survived by her sister Deborah Gordon and good friend, Jane Grosz of Waterloo; sister-in-law Anne Gordon of Kitchener; nephews Ron (Kris) and Randy Gordon. Fondly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nephews and niece. Predeceased by her parents Evelyn (nee Carey) and Fred Gordon, brother Gerald Gordon.

 Born and raised in Kitchener, attended Stratford School of Nursing, followed by a short work time at the former K-W Hospital. Jeanne went on to get her Bachelor of Science at Lakehead University. This lead to a nursing career in ICU at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jeanne eventually returned home, settling in Hamilton, then Burlington. She finished off her lengthy career in NICU at McMaster University Hospital. She retired six years ago and enjoyed her reading, knitting, cooking and music.

 Friends are invited to share their memories of Jeanne with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Klassen, Frank Nov 11 2013It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Peter Klassen, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loving husband of 62 years to Frieda (Helfinger) Klassen.

Frank passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday November 8, 2013 at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener. He was 85 years old.

Loving father to Irma (Harry) Sawatzky, Linda (Richard) Wagner, Betty (Bill) Neufeld, Maggie (Jeff) Wilson, and Suzanne (Doug) Braam.

Grandfather to Rachel (Angie Dillon) Sawatzky, Matthew (Kristy) Sawatzky, James (Shanan) Sawatzky, Robert (Cassandra) Wagner, Melissa (Chris) Muratis, Joshua Wagner, Allison and Laura Neufeld, Zachary and Victoria Wilson, and Noah, Elijah, Carina, and Silas Braam.

Great grandfather to Kaitlynn Sawatzky, Alexandra, Natasha and Tyler Sawatzky, Chase and Avery Sawatzky, and Emma Muratis.

Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Maria (Dyck) Klassen, his brother Abram, and his sisters Liesel and Susie. Survived by his brothers Willie and Peter. Remembered by the Helfinger family.

Frank was an active member of W-K United Mennonite Church for over 60 years. He was a man who demonstrated faith in God and faithfulness to family.

Frank’s family would like to express our thanks to the Sunnyside Castle Kilbride staff. Your care and kindness will never be forgotten. You made Frank feel like the “King of the Castle”.

          The Klassen family will receive friends during visitation at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 2-4 p.m., and Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Margison (Jennifer Griffiths), Edward D. Margison (Celia), and Sharon Margison.  Step-father of Donald W. MacKinnon, Rosmund B. Espin, and Cherryl P. MacKinnon.  Grandfather of Gordon, Susannah, Tyler, and step-grandfather of Brendan and Chloe.  Brother of the late John Eric Margison (Ruth).  Uncle of Denise Payne, Dr. Dennis G. Garratt, Pamela A. LeechHarold2Harold was born on December 2nd, 1927 in Blackpool, England.  As a young man Harold entered the Army and served in the RASC during WW II in Italy.  After the war Harold played professional football (soccer) for Blackpool England and had a passion for watching it in his later years.  Harold passed peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Thursday November 14th, 2013 in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of Jean Leech (nee Gosling).  Harold and Jean had a love for children and fostered over 100 children over the years.  Loving father of Julie Colangelo (Rocco), Jeremy Ellicott (Cindy) and Helen.  Dear grandfather of Lenny (Amanda), Jenna And Melissa.  Fondly remembered by his step brother Brian in England.  Harold will be missed by his best companion Poppy.  At Harold’s request there will be no visiting or service.  A private family gathering will take place at a later date.  If desired, donations may be made to Sick Kid’s Hospital Foundation or the War Amps.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com

Irene is predeceased by husbands Donald Minielly and William King and by her parents Cleve and Essie Bell. Irene is also predeceased by her sisters Mae (Clarence) Rogers, Ruby (John) Smith and Alma (Clifford) Steinberg.
