Predeceased by her husband Raymond LaChance and parents Mary and Richard Bomhof. Dear mother of Jean Pare (Dennis), Raymond (Jackie), Paula (Ken), Tim, Bunny, and Richard (Tara). 11 Beautiful Grandchildren, and 17 precious Great- grandchildren. Siblings, Brother Cy, Sister Ursula, Brother Paul and baby sister Bernice. Margs sense of humor will be missed by all. She loved all of her family and friends very much. Even though her stay at the hospital was just a few days we want to thank all of the doctors and nurses that took such good care of her and the EMS that picked her up. MUDRY, Peter

web_Mudry_PeterPeter passed away peacefully on April 4, 2015 at the age 92. Beloved husband of the late Laura with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Cherished father to Denise (Earl) Duckworth, Peter (Eva) Mudry, and Anita (Tom) Konopka. Grandfather to Todd, Ian and Leigh Duckworth. Great-grandfather to Eleanor. Dear brother to Dorothy (Skeets) Harrison.

Peter left a mark of excellence in Windsor both as an educator and athlete. He was a member of the famous Assumption College Basketball Team known as the “Fighting Freshman”. Coached by “Red” Nantais this team included teammates Ado Rorai, Ralt Wade, Bill Coulthard, Al Scorgie and close lifelong friend Gino Sovran. He guided his team to two consecutive wins over the Harlem Globetrotters which became the topic of the article “Twice the Impossible Dream” representing two of the most memorable moments in Windsor Sports. His teams won the Ontario Championship, the Eastern Canadian Championship and participated in the Canadian Championship. Known as a “classy” guard, his outstanding all-around play earned him a place in the University of Windsor Basketball Hall of Fame. He was also Class President in 1945. Peter was also a contributing member of the 1946-47 Tip Top Tailor Basketball Team in Toronto. He taught and coached at Riverside and Blakelock (Oakville) High School. He coached Riverside Basketball to four undefeated league teams, four league championship teams, and four WOSSA Championships. He was also a major contributor for the Trafalgar Chicks 1957 Ontario Championship Softball Team and Local 195 Senior Baseball Ontario Championship Team.

As an educator for 41 years he taught History, Mathematics, Physical Education and Geography at the Secondary School level. From 1956-1968 he was Vice-Principal at Gordon E. Purdue High School in Oakville. He became Principal of Sandwich Secondary High School in 1970. He later spearheaded a committee for a new High School to be located in LaSalle which was built in 1974-75. He was instrumental in introducing concepts such as tutorial systems and innovative courses in Science, English and Mathematics. He introduced computerized timetables used for class scheduling, which was later adopted by the Province of Ontario. He also introduced Canadian History to the curriculum which was later adopted by the Ministry of Education. During his tenure he also introduced an Art and Music Department which later became regarded as one of the best for secondary schools in Ontario. While Principal at Sandwich Secondary his school became known throughout Ontario for its outstanding staff, innovative thinking, cutting-edge programs and Standard of Excellence. He was most proud of his family, and the many close friendships he made both in education and athletics. It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Tim Lewis announces his passing on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the age of 47. Beloved wife of Lisa Marie (Cole). Loving father of Nicholas. Dear brother of Jim, Carol, Connie, Helen, Donna, Ken, Mark and Tammy. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Rose. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Tim was a longtime employee of the Point Edward Casino. He loved playing his guitar, travelling to Jamaica, riding his motorcycle, and just recently, started playing the drums again. Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A Celebration of TIm’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Smith Funeral Home, with visitation being held one hour prior. Cremation to follow. Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at Bluewater Health, Linda Mae MacLean passed away at the age of 65. Beloved wife of John Wynne. Loving mother of Candice MacLean, Rebecca (Travis) MacDougall, Cynthia Langlois, Michael (Natalie) Wynne and Laura Wynne (Shane). Cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Halle, Dominique, Ethan, Katrina, Sullivan, Nolan and Devin. Treasured sister of Gary (Mary) Bloomfield, Shirley (late Ron) Churchman, Barb (late Orville) MacGregor, the late Jim Bloomfield and the late Carol Bloomfield. Joan (Cleverdon) Collins was the beloved mother of Lynn (John) Presta of Whitby, and Jeff ( Cheryll) Collins of  Caledon.  Loving grandmother to Amber, Cougar, Dante and Indigo. Joan will be missed by her nephew Bill Gilbert Jr., and her nieces Karen and Julia. Joan was predeceased by her parents Harold and Elsie Cleverdon (McIntosh), and by her sister Ann. Watson Donald CroppedDonald Allan Watson passed away peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Sunday, April 5th, 2015 at the age of 79. Donald is predeceased by his parents, Allan and Pearl Watson of Lethbridge, Alberta. Donald is survived by his loving wife, Vera, of 56 years. They were married in Rossland, British Columbia on September 6th, 1958.

Donald is lovingly remembered by his children, Mark, Scott, Kim and Kristi, (in-law) Debbie, Hugh and James; grandchildren Treena, Donald, Tyler, Luke, Claire, Liam, Nicholas, James, Jeffrey and Jacob; sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Jerry Truscott; niece and nephew Leslie and Brent. Donald was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on May 15th, 1935. He graduated from Kimberley High School in 1953 and went on to earn a Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Donald began his career with Ontario Hydro in May of 1959. Starting in Eastern Region as a junior engineer, he later became a customer service supervisor, and in 1966 he was named Douglas Point Health Physicist. In 1968 he became Senior Health Physicist at the Pickering Nuclear Plant. After several positions in Management in the Health, Safety Services and Distribution-Systems Departments, he became Eastern Region Director of Ontario Hydro in 1985. Donald retired in 1999 and moved on to become President and CEO of Great Lakes Power in Sault Ste Marie. Donald had a passion for the arts and enjoyed judo, hobby farming, canoeing and any other athletic pursuits his knees would withstand. He was a family man, a leader of the pack and a gentle soul who offered love and support to everyone around him. The celebration of Donald’s life is open to all friends and family and will be held at his family home, 753 Prince of Wales Drive in Cobourg, Ontario, K9A 5X8 on Saturday, April 11th from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Red Cross. Lovingly remembered by his sister Martha Terminel; his sister-in-law Marion Minogue; nephews Jorge and Oscar; and nieces Montserrat, Claudia, and Leona. Predeceased by his parents Jose Ramon and Isabel Valdez, and his brothers Jose Ramon Jr. and Gustavo. Hector graduated from the University of Mexico and earned his Master’s degree at Wayne State University. Even at 80 years of age, he continued to go to work everyday as the proud owner of Valdez Engineering Ltd. Hector was also an avid golfer and basketball player. Mario was born in Pasiano (Pordenone) Italy on February 16, 1931. He went home to be with the Lord, on April 1, 2015 with his loving family by his side at Village at St. Clair. Loving husband of Denise (Gerolami). Beloved father of Claudio (Sue), Mireille (Paul Chislett), Dario, Christine, and Monique. Dear Nonno of Anthony, Mackenzie (2003), and Aidan Coral. Brother of Onelia (Antonio) Antonel. Predeceased by his father Pio Attilio Coral (1969), his mother Luigia (Marson) Coral (1979), brothers Romeo (1945), Erminio (Maria) (1997), Bruno (Clara) (2011), and sisters Maria Marinato (Antonio) (2007), Bruna Bagatin (Enzo) (2014), Nella DeNardi (Giuseppe) (2013) and Gina Vendramini (Aurelio) (2009). Dear brother-in-law of Herve (Evyenia) Gerolami (2005), Louis (Lucie) Gerolami and Dino (Kathleen) Gerolami. After Mario came to Canada in 1954, he was a bricklayer and a partner of Rex Construction. VISSER: Hendrik “Hank”

Hank Visser, 91, passed away peacefully at 10:10 p.m. Saturday night at St. Joseph’s Hospice of lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Ada, his twin boys Andy and Joey (Sheila), 5 grandkids: Melissa, Tanya, Jeremy, Brad and Ross, their spouses, and 6 great-grandchildren.  Hank was a proud member of the Electricians Local 530 and a strong member of the Bethel Church.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 1565 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00am, with family and friends being received at the church one hour prior to service.The Visser family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Maddison and the hospice staff for the love, dignity and care Hank received in his last days.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only if donating at the funeral home please). SCHWARTZ: Harold William of Hanover, formerly of R.R. #1 Desboro

H.SchwartzHarold William Schwartz of Hanover, formerly of R.R. #1 Desboro, passed away peacefully at McVean Lodge Residence, Hanover on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the age of 104 years.

Harold was born January 21, 1911 in Elderslie Twp., Bruce County and later resided on the family farm south of Desboro. The farm was purchased by Harold’s great grandfather, Jacob Schwartz in approximately 1870 and was sold to Harold’s dad, William Jr. in 1920. Harold purchased the farm in 1960 and ran the family farm until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed fur trapping, fishing, curling and horseshoes as well as loving to play a game of crokinole or cribbage. In the 1980’s he sold the family farm and retired in a nearby home built in 1876 by his great grandfather Jacob Schwartz.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, William and Minnie (Gobert) Schwartz, brother Wesley (Emma), sisters Velma (Warland) Krueger, Gladys Schwartz and Alice (Earl) Ermel. He will also be fondly remembered by his several nieces, nephews and their families.

Harold claimed his longevity in life was due to having an ounce of brandy and a teaspoon of peanut butter every night before bedtime.

Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., a reception will follow. Spring interment in Chesley Cemetery.

FARR: Kenneth John of Oil Springs

FARR, Kenneth John – Passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia at the age of 77. He left behind a loving family. Ken spent most of this life on the town line of Dawn and Enniskillen. He was an employee of Vulcan Containers as a Maintenance Foreman for over 45 years. Ken spent many hours in his garden and his love of gardening is still growing today in his family. He also spent many hours bulldozing, doing jobs for friends and family. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Audrey (nee Saunders). Sadly missed by his children Allen (Terrie), Kathy, Tracy (Starrett), Kim (John), Lisa (Glen), Brian (Jill) and daughter-in-law Debra (Greg). Cherished grandfather of Meagan, Troy, Kelly, Chad, Randi, Christina, Tara, Emily, Julie, Keith, Alicia, Kayla, Karlie, Ethan and Tavis. Great-grandfather of Craig, Isabella and Logan. Dear brother of Garry (Nora), Linda (Bill), Dorothy (the late Lyle), Judy (Bruce). Brother-in-law of Marilyn (the late Mike), Morris (the late Pat), the late Hughie (Shirley), Wayne (the late Sylvia), Elouise and Bob. Predeceased by his son Kevin (2010), first wife Marion (1968), parents Norman and Ruby, brothers Lenard, Allen and sister Maryann.
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00pm and on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 10:00am until the funeral service time at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.

She was born in Dufferin County daughter of the late Dougal and Janet (Murray) Large. She is predeceased by her husband Harold Law in 1979. Peggy is survived by a son Gregg Law (Molly) of Lindsay, two daughters: Holly Dodd (Doug) of Guelph and Cindi Tyhurst (Bob) of Dresden; four grandchildren: Nicole (Brad), Nadeane (Marcus), Jodi, Jason (Steph), three great grandchildren: Harper, Chase and Grady.
