RIEGPaul Hermann Rieg, in his 93rd year, passed away December 27th 2015, with family at his side. Paul was born in Braunsbach, Germany, and came to Canada in 1999. Paul joins his wife Elisabeth (Brand), brother Theodor Rieg, and sister Agnus Knapp. He is survived by son Georg Rieg (Klara), sister Anna Kurka, and grand children Birgit Lehner (Rolf), Maria Noornberghe (Andy), Thomas Rieg (Julie) and Lidwina Braet (Peter). After surviving war camp in Russia Paul returned to Germany and lived as a Master Carpenter, before retiring to Canada with Elisabeth, where they joined their son Georg (Klara). In Canada Paul continued to woodwork, as well as crop touring.Friends and family will be received at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 124 Front Street East, Strathroy, on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 from 10:30am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11am. Beloved wife of Murray Fletcher who passed away in 1974, and Ron McLean who passed away in 2010. Predeceased by son Teddy in 1973. She was also the proud grandma of 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Cherished grandmother to Carrie (Allan), Gavin (Meaghan), and Hayley (Kurtis) Middlemist, and Andrew (Natalie) Frickey. Predeceased by her parents, Basil and Gertrude McKim. Dear sister to Naomi Chapman, Laurine Hupka (Don), and late Eleanor Karchuk and surviving husband Ted. Joyce was a retired teacher from the Windsor-Essex Public School Board, where she taught at Victoria, Prince Andrew, Colonel Bishop and Anderdon Public Schools. She had a crazy sense of humour but, teaching was the true joy in her heart. During her last few years, while battling Alzheimer’s, she seemed to still tell everyone that she was a teacher. It is with sadden hearts, that we announce the passing of Gabriella Di Giovanni, passed at the young of age 62, peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday December 27, 2015.  Born in Lettomanopello, Italy on March 31, 1953. Loving wife to Antonio (Bart) Di Giovanni, and dedicated and precious mother to Daughter Annalisa, Sons, Donato and wife Jodi, Massimo, Maurizio and wife Julinda. An amazing  Nonna    who greatly loved  her grandchildren, Anthony, Alessia, Natalia, Carla, Adriano, Alessandro,  Isabella, Nicolas, Gabriel, (in heaven Bruno).  Predeceased by parents Pantaleone and Marianna Mancini.  Survived by in laws Donato and Anina Di Giovanni.  Brothers  and Sisters Mario and Anna Mancini, Pasqualina & Tonino (Italy), Concetta & Gianni Mussio, Luciano Mancini, Claudio & Anna Mancini.  Brother and Sisters in law Antoinette & Pasquale, Maria (deceased) & Domenico, Rocco & Anna Maria, Rita & Carmine, Gabriele, Patrizia & Bartolomeo, from Europe. Loved dearly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Gabriella will be sadly missed, she was an extraordinary woman, selfless and loved by so many. Her family was her world and all she ever wanted was peace and love for all.  Her favorite quote was “Live- Laugh-Love”.  May she rest in peace and watch over us as the angel she is.   In Lieu of Flowers, donations to the Ovarian Cancer, Brain Tumor & Windsor Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held Tuesday December 29 from 6-9p.m. and Wednesday December 30 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9p.m. Parish and C.W.L prayers at 8p.m. Funeral service on Thursday from Families First 585 Sandwich Street South Amherstburg, (519-969-5841), at 10 a.m. then proceeding to St. Clements Church 9567 Walker Road, McGregor for 11:00 a.m. Mass.
