Also survived by his in-laws Krzysztof (Ania) and Marek (Wiesia) and their children Krzysio and Joanna. Henry will be sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins from Poland along with Steph and Jeff who were two special people in his life. Husband of Mary Frances and father to Russell (Hannah) of Toronto, Kenneth (Elaine) of Alberta, Lorraine of Alberta, and Brian (Joanne) of Peterborough.  Survived by brother Paul (Jean), sister, Lillian Knaggs (Ted) and daughter-in-law Christine Burd, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his son Steven, father William George, and mother Jennie Mae. Bill retired from a distinguished career with Air Canada from 1948 to 1983.  He enjoyed golfing and spending time at his cottage at Weslemoon Lake for many years, his second home.  Special thanks to Dr. Paul Armour, Dr. J. Steve-Young-1-webOn his way home from his annual vacation with friends, STEVEN CRAIG YOUNG, age 54 of Sarnia passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Port Huron, Michigan. He was a devoted father and is survived by his sons Liam and Luke Young and their mother Stephanie Boylan, loving son of Audrey and the late Bill (2009) Young of Sarnia, dear brother of John and Velma Young, Sue and Mike Collins, Jill and Charlie Doiron, Jim and Shelly Young, Jennifer and Hector Audette and Mary Jane and Eric Corda, beloved nephew of Beverley Clarke, Dick and Ceil Chate, Pat and Vic Pauls and Jim Young. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Steve was employed at Imperial Oil for the past 32 years and volunteered with Scouts Canada, YMCA Rapids and SWOSSA swim teams and was a former member of the Underwater Dive Club. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, on Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Obit photoENGEL—Edeltraut (Trudy) Gone to be with her Lord, peacefully at Sandfield Place in her 87th year. Predeceased by her parents, Otto and Gertrude Junk, brother Heinz Junk all of Gronau, West Germany.  Also predeceased by husband Kornelius Engel.  Loving mother of daughter Elke Staruiala (Larry) of Kamloops, British Columbia, son Heinz Engel, also of Kamloops, daughter Gertie Hamel (Don) of Cornwall, and son Ken Engel of Cornwall.  Adored “Oma” of Krista, Jason, Nicole, Stephen, Shellie, Carey, Sheldon, Starla, and Tyler.  Great “Oma” to Samantha, Kaitlyn, Trinity, Hayes, McKinley, Gavin, Lily, Josiah, Spencer, Jensen, Jaidyn, Jace, Lila and Ella.

Trudy’s faith and belief in God were her continued strength.  She enjoyed her family very much and made many trips to visit them, both in Canada and the United States.  Her lovely baby blankets, scarves, socks and afghans and most recently dish cloths, have been admired and enjoyed by many.  One year Mom made 40 scarves and donated them to the Salvation Army.  It was not unusual for Mom to stop and chat with someone on the street, and give them money for coffee or some food.  We will miss her spunk, and sense of humour and the way she always cared about others.  We love you dear Mom and will miss you very much.  Friends will be received at McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Home & Chapel , 428 Second Street East Cornwall  (613-932-6300) on Saturday November 2, 2013 from 10 am to 12 noon followed by cremation.  A celebration of life memorial for the family will be held a later date.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Gideon’s Bible Society.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.mcarthurbrosfh.com

SANDERS:   After a short and courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 27, 2013 and surrounded by those who loved her, Elizabeth (Betty) passed away peacefully.  She was predeceased by her parents John and Gertrude (Trotter) Sanders of Montreal, QC.  She will be sadly missed by her sister Ann and Claude Helbig and nieces Anne, Claire and Corinne of Montreal, QC.  Her second parents Bill and Marg Tugwell along with their immediate family.  Her best friend Judy (Coates) Hansen, her parents and sisters and their families.  Her church family along with her Community Living South Huron friends.  At Betty’s request cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service to be held at EXETER PENTECOSTAL TABERNACLE on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2 p.m.  Pastor Bob Loohuizen will be Officiating.    Arrangements entrusted to T.  Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  Memorial donations (payable by cheque) may be made in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society or Community Living South Huron.  Condolences at www.hoffmanfuneralhome.com

deschamps evaMrs. Eva Deschamps nee Souligny from St-Bernardin passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the age of 104. She was the beloved wife of the late Henri Deschamps; the daughter of the late Samuel Souligny and of the late Joséphine Wathier; the cherished mother of Annette (Jacques Mercier), Rhéal (Rachel Régimbald), Soeur Thérèse Deschamps s.p., Marguerite (Jacques Smith-Doiron), Agathe (Robert Bourgeau) and Nicole (Guy Paré); the loving grandmother of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also leaves a daughter-in-law, Marie (Roger Houle). She was predeceased by 4 children, Raymond, Bernard, Marielle and Florian, 3 grandchildren Sylvie, Mario and Jean-Paul and also 2 sisters Rose-Anna and Annette and one brother Zotique. Also survived by many nephews and nieces.
