On November 23rd, 2013 Barbara (aged 82) passed away peacefully leaving behind her loving and expansive family who she spent her final days with. Beloved wife of Bernard (Bernie/Chap) for more than 63 years. She was a loving mother to Cathy Chapman (late Rick), Karen and Mark Janisse, Linda and Gary Leslie, Pattie and Bill Boyle, Maureen and Dave Vlodarchyk, Bernie and Mindy Fuerth, and Laurie-Jo and Tim McDermott, who all provided her a brood of happy grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sister of late Don (late Laurie), late Joan Diemer (late Ron), Larry (Bev), Joe and Den (Beth). Sister-in-law of Mary Marg Chevalier (late Ben), Paul (late Marge), Pete, Theresa Cox (Art) and Eugene (Teresa). Many nieces and nephews will also fondly remember her. Barb was a wonderful matriarch who taught us all how to love, be compassionate, forgive, have faith, and hold family and friends close to our hearts. Barb was at her happiest around the Woodslee euchre table surrounded by family and friends who will always remember her quick wit and warm smile. She will be dearly missed and always celebrated. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 24, 2013, Fred Fellows passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 89. Leaving behind his beloved companion June Tracey. Cherished father of Mary Jane Storey (Pat), Mike (Deb), John (Cheryl) and Peggy Daly (Ed). Fondly remembered by June’s children Diane Tracey, Becky Andali and Sue Tracey. Loved grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Paul, by his parents Frank and Mary Ann Fellows and by his brothers Jerry and Joe Fellows. Fred retired from Bell Canada after 38 years of service. He loved golf and was a passionate gardener. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Sunday, November 24, 2013, WILLIAM ALFRED DEMPSEY, age 86 of Sarnia passed away.Beloved husband of Marie Paule Angeline Dempsey (nee Boulanger) . Loving father of Bonnie Duquette and her husband Maurice of Wallaceburg and Cathy Mathany and her husband Michael of Chatham and stepfather of Donald Cote and Darquise Cote. Also survived by his sister Mabel Whitbread of Windsor and nieces Heather and Kerrie. Cherished grandfather of Randy Duquette, Ann Marie Vancoille, Clarke Mathany, Ashley Rivard, Ian Mathany, Bryan Thrower, Dennis Purdon several great -grandchildren. Will also be missed by his extended family in Quebec. William retired from Polysar, enjoyed bowling and his sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. Loving mother of Cheryl (Allen) Ladner, Frances Archer, Christine (Sandro) Cata, Glenn McPhail, and Lorie-Ann (Joseph) Donais. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Cristin), Ryan, Stacey (Kevin), Alison (Mike), Nicholas, Melissa (Tyler), Shannon, Aurianna, Farrah, Michelle (Etienne), Mark, and Scott. Treasured great-grandmother of William, Sean, Kaitlyn, Sara and Taylor. Dear sister of Marcel (Dolly) Beland, Georgette Monk, and Gerry (Mary) Beland, and sister-in-law of Eldon, Donald, Jean, Florence, and Shirley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Florence was a retired teacher of the Roman Catholic School Board. She was a seamstress in her spare time and loved sewing and knitting. Florence was a devoted caregiver to her family. Unexpectedly on Novemeber 22, 2013 at the Kingston General Hospital, Hellen O’Rouke-Timmerman in her 52nd year.  Cherished wife of Thomas Timmerman and adored mother of Timothy & Sylvia O’Rourke.  Dear sister of Kathy, Bob & Douglas.  Fondly remembered by her nieces & nephews.  A Service of Celebration of Hellen’s life will take place on Saturday, Novemeber 30, 2013 in Trinity Chapel, CFB Kingston with Major D. NEWMAN: Rosemary of Sarnia

Newman3NEWMAN, ROSEMARY ALICE (nee Peachey) – At Twin Lakes Terrace, on Sunday, November 24th, Rosemary Newman died at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Newman. Cherised Aunt of NormaJean Edwards (husband Terry). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her parents Amy & Edward Peachey, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Rosemary was born and raised in Point Edward. She had a passion for her church in which she was a member for over 50 years. Rosemary was a Deputy Clerk at the Sarnia Small Claims Court until the year 2000. She enjoyed living at the Marquis and socializing with the residents. The family would like to thank all the staff, doctors and caregivers at Bluewater Health, Continuing Care in Petrolia, Fiddicks Nursing Home and Twin Lakes Terrace, for the compassionate care that Rosemary received. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Point Edward Presbyterian Church on Thursday, November 28th, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shirley Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. SZABO: Miklos “Mike” of Sarnia

SZABO, MIKLOS “MIKE” – At Vision Nursing Home on Saturday, November 23, 2013, Miklos “Mike” Szabo died at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Claudette Szabo. Loving father of the late Mike (1995), Garry and Ron & his wife Gloria, all of Sarnia Cherished grandfather of Kaity, Mathew, Jordan, Ashley and Trevor. Dear brother-in-law of Therese Poirier, Hilaire Seguin, Fernande Ferlatte, Gaston Seguin, Pierrette Gagne and Norman Seguin. Also survived by his niece Susan Dombovary and several other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Barbabos & Elizabeth, brother Joseph & his wife Vali and several other brothers and sisters-in-law. Mike was Bricklayer and a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local 23 for over 50 years. Family was Mike’s passion as well as his love for his garden. He was member of the Golden Age Club of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Mike will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on 5-7 p.m. Friday November 29th. Loving mother of the late Enzo (2006) & his wife Donna, Miller Lake, Fernando & his wife Catherine, Sarnia and Dino & his wife Joan, Sudbury. Proud Nonna of Nicole Rocca, Meaghan Harder (Grant), Michael Rocca (Cassie), Caitlin Rocca, Courtney Rocca (Brent), Kristin Rocca and Patrick Rocca. Dear sister of Dora Maola (late Agostino), Letizia Guerra (Pio) and Colomba Ferrera (late Domenic). Sadly missed by her cherished cat Maggie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Donata & Annibale D’Andrea, brother Rocco & his wife Maria D’Andrea, In-laws Felice & Nicola Rocca, brothers-in-law Pietro & his wife Maria Rocca and Domenico Rocca & his wife Onoria. She was a committed and proud 50+ year member of the CWL. She was co-owner of Roma Pizza with her sister Colomba for many years. As the matriarch of her family, she was well respected and valued. Beloved sister to Scott and wife Esther, Todd and wife Jennifer, Michael Braithwaite. Dearest daughter-in-law to Lindsay and Mary Ann MacDonald. Beloved sister-in-law to Shane and wife Tina MacDonald, Kelly MacDonald. Lori will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lori was a teacher for the Greater Essex County District School Board, most recently at Talbot Trail. Lori had a passion and love for all the young children she encountered. Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2013 at the age of 88 years.  Loving husband to Elenor.   Beloved father to Brick (Leann) Wall, Vickie (Ron) Hetzel, Jukie (Steve) Faust, Joe (Jan) Wall and Shelley (Ron) Lisle. Adored Daddy Blackie to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and  nephews.
