Peacefully, with her family at her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, Noreen Eleanor Dye (née Reimer) of Ridgetown. Beloved wife of 53 years to Robert W. (Bob) Dye. Dear mother of Renée Dye of Mississauga. Dear grandmother of Kaitlyn Dye and Madison Dye of Acton. Predeceased by son Robert (Rob) Dye (2008). Loving sister of Elaine Liski of Regina, aunt to Brenda Liski, Bruce Liski, Donald Reimer and Darlene Reimer, all of Regina. Also survived by daughter-in-law Natalie Dye, sister-in-law Marlene Pelletier, and sister-in-law Sharon Dye. Predeceased by her parents Tillie and Ed Reimer and brother Gordon, who had also resided in Regina. Noreen was born in Regina, moving to Toronto in 1965, then to Mississauga in 1967. Noreen and her husband Bob retired to Ridgetown in 2003. While living in Mississauga, Noreen was a member of Lorne Park Baptist Church, and while living in Ridgetown, Noreen attended and supported Erie Street United Church. Reunited with parents Damas and Emma Laforet, and adoptive parents Ernest and Elianne Laforet. Also predeceased by sisters Jeanette Chauvin 2009 (Leo), Lottie Renaud 1992 (Gilbert), Rena Drouillard 1997 (Lawrence). Left behind are her nieces, nephews and cousins whom she will miss. We regret the passing of Harvey Russell Morningstar on the 6th day of September, 2013.  Harvey was born on June 27, 1947.  He is predeceased by his mom Jessie Morningstar, father Russell Morningstar and sisters Vivian and Donna Morningstar.  He leaves behind his children Chandler Morningstar and his mom Roxane Christianson , Sandra Bowness, Derek Morningstar, Scott Morningstar, Christopher Morningstar, Tanya Morningstar and their mom Joyce Morningstar brothers Willard Pine, Ronald Morningstar ( Natalie ), his sisters Annette Alderton ( Fred ), Gloria Niganobe, Rosemary Morningstar, Connie Morningstar, Marjorie Cada ( Randy ) and Joann Niganobe and his many grandchildren and many, many many nieces and nephews.  Harvey would say right now, “don’t cry for me, I’m not here no more; I’m here with my chum Pete.  Man, it is good to see him again.  Mom and Dad are here too; so are Vivian and Donna.  Holy Mackinaw, I see Randy’s brothers Roger and Bobby.  O heck man, the gang’s all here.  They cleared the way for me well holy geez there is Larry, my brother-in-law.  He’s looking good too.  Still got that smile . . .the mischievous smile.  It feels good to have no more pain; so do not weep for me; I’m all good.  Always remember to take care of each other and we will see each other again someday.  Love you all.  At Harvey’s wish, cremation has taken place followed by private family services.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home, Blind River.  www.menardfh.com

A resident of Chatham, Elsie Valetta Wigle (Burgess), suddenly passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 5, 2013. Born in DerehamTownship 86 years ago, daughter of the late Harley & Kathalene Atwood. Beloved wife of the late Jack Burgess (1973). Loving mother to Robert (Sheila) Burgess of Bracebridge, James (Rose Ann) Burgess of Kent Bridge, step-mother to Robert (Geraldine) Wygle of Manitoba, and Darren (Lilly) Wigle of Chatham. Missed by her grandchildren Alexander (Leah), Ian (Kelly), and Adam. Sister to Fern Hutchinson of Ingersoll, Elva Stroud of Burlington, and the late Leota Scott. Elsie was recently recognized with the Seniors Achievement Award for her charitable activities at St. Andrew’s Residence and Outreach for Hunger. She had a successful career culminating at CIBC Chatham until her retirement when she became an avid traveller and golfer. She enjoyed spending time with friends and attending concerts. Elsie was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 185 Blenheim. Proud Papa of Jennifer, Jeremy, late Matthew, Joshua, Daron, Zachary, Samantha, Michelle and Emily. Dearest brother of Barbara, Carolyn, Marilyn and the late Harold. Tony will also be remembered and missed by many nieces and nephews. After 42 years of service as an environmental supervisor, Tony retired from Ford Motor Co. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed traveling, teaching Tai Chi, volunteering at Hospice and Hotel Dieu’s coffee bar and spending time with his family. It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my loving husband of 60 years, Jack, after a short battle with cancer. Left with empty hearts are his wife Jean, son Mark (Karen) and granddaughter Terri Ann. Jack is predeceased by his daughter Donna (1995) and 3 sisters and 1 brother of St. Thomas. Jack was born in St. Thomas on Feb. 3, 1932. The son of William and Hazel Lawson. Jack started his career in St. Thomas at the Beer Store and stayed employed with them for 38 years, finishing his career in Essex. Jack will miss his visits to the legion where he enjoyed playing pool with his friends and also his daily visits to Tim Horton’s for coffee with more friends. Jack was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 201, Essex and was heavily involved with many activities with them. Beverly was born in Chathamand was a daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Scott) Williams.

Loving mother of Robert Lindsay, Jacob Richards and Jennifer Oliver.

Sadly missed by her sister Lenora Williams and her brothers John, James and Don Williams.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brothers Stewart, Kenneth, Jerry and Bill Williams and her sisters Marion (Ray) Hetherington and Gloria (Tim) Tielman.

I would like to thank all my nephews, my nieces from New Brunswick, and Ontario also my sister Claudette, my brother Norm and my mother Lorette for all their support & prayers & phone calls. Also especially my brother Eddy Frappier, my uncle Raymond & aunt Rachel of Sudbury, my nephew and niece Pierre & Estelle Michaud and Tracy & Kyle of Acton, Ontario. Will be sadly missed by Maya, Sam & Tony his obedient dogs, also by his dear friends from Sudbury & New Brunswick. Worked at Inco for 32 years & was a Knight of Columbus # 1387 4th degree also a cook for the scouts of St-Jean de Brébeuf & Hunting camp. Special thanks to 4th North floor Palliative care and all the Doctors & Nurses that took care of Dan. He will be cremated & brought to St-Jean de Brébeuf for a Mass. MARCOUX, SuzanneIt is with great sorrow that the family announces her sudden death in Sudbury on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the age of 62 years. Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Clara (nee Lachance) Marcoux. Loving sister of Freda Pitz (late Alex), Ricky George (late Tom) and Betty Miszczyk (late John). Predeceased by her brothers and sister, Edmond, Darcy (survived by Jeanne), Ray (late Claire), Danny (survived by Joanne), Don (survived by Marlene) and Colette Ryan (survived by Robert). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Suzanne was a proud member of the Aktion Club-Kiwanis Program for Adults with Disabilities, the Special Olympics where she excelled in bowling and also loved her time at Happiness is Dancing. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222  Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury Wednesday, August 14th, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 15th, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Sudbury. Beloved husband of the late Florence (née Carrière) Gagné. Loving father of Armand (late Marie-Claire) of Toronto, Richard (Cindy) of Chelmsford, Sr. Pauline (s.c.o.) of Ottawa and Michel of Sudbury. Predeceased by his daughter Diane. Dear brother of the late Béatrice McMillan (Ian) and the late Irène Lafrenière (late Norbert). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Christine, Chantal (Harout), Marc, Adam (Chantal), Alain, Daniel (Jeenu), Richard and his great-grandchildren Nicholas, Melody, Justin and Samuel. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family expresses its appreciation to the staff of the Cedar Wing of Pioneer Manor for their kind and compassionate care. HESELTINE, James Park “Jim”, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in his 84th year.  Loving husband of Martha (nee Unger) Heseltine.  Devoted father of Michelle Lappalainen (Ray), Jennifer Giglia (Wayne), all of Hamilton, and Ruth Anne Harrington (Ron) of Grand Valley.  Proud grandfather of Andrew, Eric, and Stefanie Lappalainen, Kelsey Giglia, and Ryan (Emily), Michael, and Christopher Harrington.  Jim was predeceased by his parents, John “Jock” and Jessie (nee Park) Heseltine, and by his siblings, Nan Elliott, Mary Rooney, and Jack Heseltine, all of Scotland.  He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 15, 1930. Jim was a retired office manager with CHLO Radio, St. Thomas.  He was a member of Faith Church, St. Thomas, and was a former member and past president of the St. Thomas Curling Club.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Sunday, September 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at Faith Church, 345 Fairview Avenue, St. Thomas on Monday, September 9th at 1:30 p.m.  Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Memorial donations to The Gideons or the MS Society of Canada gratefully acknowledged.

ANDREWS, Patricia Eloise (Willis) – born in Barrie December 2 1948, passed away courageously at Royal Victoria Hospital August 29 2013. Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and loyal friend to many in the community. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at St. Vincent Park, St. Vincent and Blake Streets, Barrie on Sunday September 8 from 1 pm to 4 pm. FORSTER, Susan – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Susan Forster on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 in the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital, London, in her 56th year. Best friend and beloved partner of Tom Caldwell. Caring and loving mother to their three children, Miranda, Alena and Nolan, all at home. Susan was so deeply loved by her siblings Richard (Beth), Jim (Cheryl), Doreen (Ron) and Bruce (Cathy); Tom’s mother Ettie Noseworthy; and siblings-in-law Cathy (Herb), Bonnie and Ross. Cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews to whom she was also a dear friend. Predeceased by her sister-in-law Dianne. Susan loved to spend time with her dear neighbours and friends who have shown their love and support these past weeks to her family. Special thanks to her colleagues at McFarlan Rowlands Insurance where Susan spent many of her working years. Cremation has taken place.
