Jessie will be missed by her husband of 54 years Neil. She was a loving mother to Carolyn of Kitchener, Laurie and Stephen Belliveau of Almonte, and Glen of London. Jessie will be missed by her brother Dr. Kenneth and Rosemary Hardy, and her sister Katharine Hardy. Jessie was predeceased by her parents Dell and George Hardy, and her sister Ruth and her husband Fred Underwood. Jessie shared her love of gardening, teaching, and music with many people over her life. She was active in her community with the Stroke Recovery Association, St. Paul’s UCW, Organization for Literacy, Lambton Genealogy, Lambton 4-H, Petrolia Fair Board, was a CGIT Leader, and more. After years of avoiding him, St. Peter finally caught up with the “Road Runner”. Peacefully in her 93rd year, Frances has joined her family on July 2, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Francis Gillett (Babe), and the late Alexander Spargalo. Predeceased by her children Joanne Baker (Blane), Mary Baleka (George), and Robert and survived by her daughter-in-law Ruth-Ann. Loving grandmother to 8, great-grandmother to 14, and great great-grandmother to 11. She was retired from Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus as a porter “Road Runner”, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #12, bargain shopper, snowbird, photographer, and Sugar Daddy Winker. Frances was blessed to move to Huron Lodge for her final years, where she was lovingly cared for by the amazing staff there. Born in Chesley, Ontario to the late Murray and Ruby (nee Kobe) Schmitt.  John was happiest on his Tonka toys, the bigger the better, and could be found playing wherever work had to be done.  He began his career working for J & H Fleming, Wayne Schwartz Construction and most recently with Cedarwell Excavating.

Survived by sisters Marilyn Schmitt of Elmwood and Karen (Wayne) Berry of Stratford and brother Allan (Barb) Schmitt of Port Elgin.  John will be remembered by his nephews and niece Matthew Berry, Erin Bolander and Murray Schmitt.  Predeceased by his sister Mary Schmitt.

To honour John’s wishes a Stop and Go Reception will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Elmwood Community Centre from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.

He is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Herbert was a member of the CAF (RCAF) for 32 years and a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He received a Medal of Bravery in 1972 in Bermuda. He also traveled extensively during his career. He loved to organize sports and various activities. He was a leader and a role model and a true humanitarian. He was also the first Disc Jockey in Nova Scotia and played music for 20 years, which was his passion.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Thursday, July 9th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Reception to follow.

If desired, Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Loving and cherished wife of George E. King for over 60 wondrous years. Amazing mother of George W. King and wife Kimberly, Jane Van Buskirk and husband Craig and Margaret DeGurse and husband Stephen. Devoted and adoring grandmother of 11 grandchildren: Parker, Andrew, Spencer, Meghan, Courtney, Kyle, Vaughan, Hayden, Nolan, Hannah and Benton. Predeceased by her parents William and Elsie Hudson, brother William Hudson Jr, sister Betty Brooks and her best friend, sister Margaret Hartford. Also? survived by many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the original R.N. at the Cerebral Palsy Society of Windsor (the forerunner to the John McGivney Children’s Centre). She was the co-founder of King Materials Handling Ltd. with her husband George. Later, she worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Hospice of Windsor.
Dorothy’s amazing personna will be missed by the many friends and people whose lives she touched over the years. Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Eileen Beattie (nee Sumner) of London was in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bob Beattie (1993). Proud mother of Linda (Bryan) Hodgert, Larry (Gayle) Beattie and Mike (Karen) Beattie. Cherished grandma of Lynne (Shawn) Watkinson, Samantha and Courtney Beattie and great-grandmother to Grace. Survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy, Marg, Faye, Geri and Marge. Predeceased by her grandson Daryl Hodgert, brother Murray (Eileen), sisters-in-law Anne (Arnie), Mary (Andy), Audrey (Don), and brothers-in-law Dave (Gladys), Jack (Mary), Art, Syd and Lawrence. Eileen was a long time proud member of the IODE and loved golf. She fondly remembered her time spent with her “Nasty Nine” friends and had many good memories of her trips and winters spent in Lakeland Florida. The family wishes to thank the staff of Ashwood Manor for their kindness, support and care of Eileen. Also the family is grateful for the outstanding care she received from CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) staff at Victoria Hospital.  Friends will be received by the family 6-9 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the A.
