Karel Hendrik van Klaveren, 83 years,of Wyoming.   He was the loving husband of Sylvia.  He will be missed by his children Harry (Didi) van Klaveren, Annette (Hank) Wildschut, John (Joyce) van Klaveren, Karl (Jacquie) van Klaveren, and Mark (Cara) van Klaveren, his seventeen grandchildren, and his four great grandchildren; Kristin (Jeff) Kingma [Leah, Joshua, Philip], Elysia (Mark) Rekman, Karel van Klaveren, Gerrit van Klaveren, Danielle (Jay) Weaver [Cohen], Brad Wildschut, Jessica (Terry) Soepboer, Amanda Wildschut, Rachel van Klaveren, Rebecca van Klaveren, Christian van Klaveren, Jonah van Klaveren, Nicole van Klaveren, Nelson van Klaveren, Ben van Klaveren, Jacob van Klaveren, and Alex van Klaveren.  Predeceased by his parents Hendrik Karel van Klaveren and Jannetje van Iterson – van Klaveren.  He will be missed by his brothers and sister and their spouses; the late Ina (Wilhelm) Strooper, the late Hendrik (Lidy) van Klaveren, the late Jan van Klaveren, Anthone (Ria) van Klaveren, Lex van Klaveren, Bregtje (Daniel) Amett van Klaveren, Frans (Marga) van Klaveren, Dirk van Klaveren, and the late Bert (Coby) van Klaveren.  Visitors will be received on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the WYOMING CHAPEL, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Wyoming Christian Reformed Church, 4524 Confederation Line, Wyoming.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) or Lambton County Developmental Services (www.lcdspetrolia.ca).  Memories, pictures, and condolences may be shared on-line at www.needhamjay.com.

Matthews, Mary Kathleen “Kay” – peacefully at Hastings Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 05, 2013 in her 101st year.  Daughter of the late Andrew and Anne (nee Cassidy) Doran.  Wife of the Late Ronald Matthews and the late Arthur Courtney.  Loving mother of Suzanne Courtney (Dave Smith) of Toronto and step mother of Carole (Al) Schmidt of Gloucester.  Cherished grandmother of Byron, Leora, Casey, Alison and Laura.  Kay was especially close to her nieces, Jayne (Ed) Durkin and Lorna Parker and their families.  She is predeceased by her siblings John Doran, Anastasia Godber, Rita Callahan and Frank Doran.  Kay was a volunteer with Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed yoga, gardening, ice skating and bicycling right into her 70’s. 

The family will receive friends at St. Carthagh’s Catholic Church, Tweed on Friday, November 8, 2013 from noon until 1:00 p.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 p.m.  Interment St. Carthagh’s Cemetery.

The death of Robert Clarke O’Donnell of Kingston, On.,beloved husband of Mary Agnes (Betts) O’Donnell of Kingston for 65 years occurred on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Kingston General Hospital.  Born Oct., 11, 1927 in New Bandon, N.B. son of the late Chester & Hilda (Lyons) O’Donnell.  He was an active member of the Bay Park Baptist Church, Kingston, On., having served 27 years in the Canadian Forces in Korea, Germany & Canada. He drove bus for Travelways, highway coach and school bus. He is survived by his three sons, Sherman of Kingston,On., Mervyn of Houston B.C. & Kenneth of Ottawa, On. two daughters, Teresa (Mario) Gaulin, of Germany & Joyce (Jerry) Newson, Oshawa, ON. Always enjoyed his 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Survived by three sisters Mary, Ellen & Judy and 2 brothers McKenzie & Herbie, many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by four brothers Percy, Chester, Wilfred & Kay.  The family will receive friends at Bay Park Baptist Church (775 Progress Ave., Kingston 389-2920)on Thursday from 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be held on Friday at 10am with Rev. Jutzi, Merlin Nov 5 2013 croppedPassed away after a long illness.

Predeceased by wife Grace Kathleen Jutzi (Bast 2011).

Survived by his son Calvin Jutzi (Judy Gascho-Jutzi); granddaughter Catherine Hummel (Jeremy Kimmel); grandson John Jacob Jutzi; daughters-in-law Helen (Marvin 1992), Chris (Kevin 1996) and Tammy (Robin 1998) and sisters Mae Snider and Lucetta Stauffer (Enos).

Predeceased by sons Marvin, Kevin and Robin, parents John and Susan (Kennel) Jutzi; brothers Addison and Munro; sisters Leona Widwick, Mildred Calvert, Ortha Wideman, Phylis Lehman and Blanche Jutzi.

Merlin was a founding member of the K-W Chapter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and jointly received a centennial medal for his work. Merlin enjoyed his business which included Merlin Machine Co., Blue Seal Turf and Ace Saw Sharpening as well as M.R. Jutzi Auctions with his son and partner Calvin Jutzi.

The Jutzi family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, November 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

The funeral service for Merlin will take place at First Mennonite Church 800 King St. E., Kitchener on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Hollohan, Terrance Nov 5 2013 1st for newspaper 2upIt is with great sorrow that we announce Terry’s passing at home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at age 62, after a courageous, two year battle with cancer.

Beloved husband of Helen (nee Grzyb) for 42 years; loving father of Jennifer and Scott Van Trigt, Adam and Amanda Hollohan, and Quinn and Amber Hollohan. Cherished Grampa of Ryerson Van Trigt and Dublin Hollohan. Dear brother of Wayne and Bernice Hollohan, Stephen Hollohan, Judy and Bert Raben, and Mary-Anne and Rick Schweitzer. He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Marcella (Quinn) and Thomas Hollohan. 

Terry was the proud owner of Bent’s Cameras fotosource for over 30 years.  He loved being a staple of the Uptown Waterloo community.  He was proud to employ many staff members over the years and to support his family through his dedication and hard work at the store.  Through his business endeavours, Terry was one of the founding members of the fotosource brand and served on its table of directors.  Five years ago Terry extended the business and purchased Pond’s fotosource in Guelph. 

Outside of work, Terry was a member of the Waterloo Rotary Club for over 15 years.  He served as President and received the Paul Harris award for “service above self”. 

Terry’s family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Bouttell, the 4th Floor staff at Grand River Cancer Center, and all of the nurses from CCAC and Care Partners.  Their amazing care, patience and service for Terry over the past few years has been invaluable.

 Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 2–4 and 6-8 p.m.  The funeral will take place in the chapel on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Michael King officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener will be followed by a reception at the funeral home.
