Mrs. Parke taught school in Enniskillen Township for 32 years until her retirement in 1982. We are saddened to announce the passing of Beth Corrigan. Beth crossed over at the age of 92 while resting comfortably at her residence in Barrie on June 1, 2015. Beth was predeceased by her husband Douglas N. Corrigan (CN Yardman, Yard foreman, Yardmaster and General Yardmaster) in Capreol and Sudbury.

She is survived by her son Michael Douglas (Jackie Hardy) of Barrie, his son Shawn Douglas (Amanda Johnson) and their two sons James Douglas and Westley Francis all of Winnipeg. Survived as well by her daughter Karen Mary –Kim-(Keith Armstrong) and their children Heather and David of Mississauga.

Beth fondly remembered her time in Northern Ontario though a series of wonderful paintings and sketches of the Vermillion, Capreol and Killarney areas. She was a great baker & decorator of cakes teaching the same at local schools in the area. She was active as the president of the resident’s council at her home and at 92 years of age was beating her computer at the game of scrabble.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Richard Bolton and Mildred (nee Phillips) Bolton Langford, as well as sisters, Madeline Snowsell, Grace Apchin, and Bea Shipley, and brothers, Keith, Earl, and Alfred Bolton. He was born on September 1, 1926 in Blaine Lake, SK. Ray worked for the Hyman Leather Company in London, and the Snowsell Sheet Metal Company and Lyle Cook Automotive in St. Thomas. For several years, he served on the executive of the St. Thomas Barons Jr. Hockey Club, and was a former member of the Optimist Club of St. Thomas. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment will be made in Alvinston Cemetery. He was the beloved husband of Mariette Lalonde nee Riopel; the daughter of the late Hector Lalonde and of the late Rose Arcand; the loving father of Nathalie (Serge Arseneault), Pascale and the late Philippe (Natalie Kahalé); the dear father-in-law of Christine Vessia (Mario Constantineau); the adored grandfather of Xavier, Léoni, Joëlain, Guillaume and Mathieu; the dear brother of Rollande (late Vincent Gourd), Gérard (Jeannine), Félicien (Solange), Élise (Rosaire Parisien) and Lucie (Claude Massie); the cherished godfather of Patrick Lalonde (Marie-Ève). He was predeceased by two brothers Jules (Monique Ménard) and Michel (Ginette Paquette). He is survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral details were entrusted to Berthiaume Family Funeral Home 416, rue McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511. A funeral service will be held at Renaissance du Long-Sault Church in Grenville on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 3 p.m. The family will be present from 2 p.m. to receive your condolences.

Passed away unexpectedly at home Friday May 22, 2015 at the age of 82. Husband of the late Barbara Celeste of Barrie. Loving father of Bradley of Yarker, Scott (Robin) of Verona, Craig (Gail) of Yarker and Kelly Whalen (Glenn Leeman) of Barrie. Dear Poppa of Samantha, Taylor and Curtis. Loving brother of Geraldine Fioravanti and Shirley Dixon of Hamilton.

A Celebration of Ralph’s life will be held at the Horse Power Grill in the Barrie Molson Centre Saturday June 13, 2015 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

DUKESHIRE: Diane of Belleville

Dukeshire, Diane – at Moira Place, Tweed on Thursday, May 21st, 2015 in her 76th year. Diane was born on May 8th, 1940 in Timmins, ON, the second child of the late Henry and Leila Welin. She has lived in Belleville with her husband Ken Dukeshire since 1970. Diane is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Brad) Rush of Oakville. She is the proud grandmother of Rachel Rush, currently studying at Queen’s in Kingston and Cooper Rush, currently studying at Sir Wilfred Laurier in Waterloo. Diane is also survived by her sister, Marlaine (Stanley) Burke of Kingston, NS and her brothers, Eric (Margaret) Welin, also of Kingston, NS and Brian Welin of Comox, BC. She is predeceased by her brother Dwight Welin.

The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, (613-968-2273) on Friday, June 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, June 20th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Belleville Cemetery. Rev. Jennifer Cameron officiating.
