Unexpectedly on Novemeber 22, 2013 at the Kingston General Hospital, Hellen O’Rouke-Timmerman in her 52nd year.  Cherished wife of Thomas Timmerman and adored mother of Timothy & Sylvia O’Rourke.  Dear sister of Kathy, Bob & Douglas.  Fondly remembered by her nieces & nephews.  A Service of Celebration of Hellen’s life will take place on Saturday, Novemeber 30, 2013 in Trinity Chapel, CFB Kingston with Major D. Newman3NEWMAN, ROSEMARY ALICE (nee Peachey) – At Twin Lakes Terrace, on Sunday, November 24th, Rosemary Newman died at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Newman. Cherised Aunt of NormaJean Edwards (husband Terry). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her parents Amy & Edward Peachey, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Rosemary was born and raised in Point Edward. She had a passion for her church in which she was a member for over 50 years. Rosemary was a Deputy Clerk at the Sarnia Small Claims Court until the year 2000. She enjoyed living at the Marquis and socializing with the residents. The family would like to thank all the staff, doctors and caregivers at Bluewater Health, Continuing Care in Petrolia, Fiddicks Nursing Home and Twin Lakes Terrace, for the compassionate care that Rosemary received. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Point Edward Presbyterian Church on Thursday, November 28th, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shirley Murdock officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. SZABO, MIKLOS “MIKE” – At Vision Nursing Home on Saturday, November 23, 2013, Miklos “Mike” Szabo died at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Claudette Szabo. Loving father of the late Mike (1995), Garry and Ron & his wife Gloria, all of Sarnia Cherished grandfather of Kaity, Mathew, Jordan, Ashley and Trevor. Dear brother-in-law of Therese Poirier, Hilaire Seguin, Fernande Ferlatte, Gaston Seguin, Pierrette Gagne and Norman Seguin. Also survived by his niece Susan Dombovary and several other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Barbabos & Elizabeth, brother Joseph & his wife Vali and several other brothers and sisters-in-law. Mike was Bricklayer and a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local 23 for over 50 years. Family was Mike’s passion as well as his love for his garden. He was member of the Golden Age Club of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Mike will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Proud Nonna of Nicole Rocca, Meaghan Harder (Grant), Michael Rocca (Cassie), Caitlin Rocca, Courtney Rocca (Brent), Kristin Rocca and Patrick Rocca. Dear sister of Dora Maola (late Agostino), Letizia Guerra (Pio) and Colomba Ferrera (late Domenic). Sadly missed by her cherished cat Maggie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. LACHAPELLE, Jean-ClaudeThe family announces with great sorrow his passing in Chelmsford on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 at the age of 82 years.  Husband of the late Jeannine Lachapelle predeceased on September 6th, 2013.  Son of the late Léo and of the late Marie (née Doire) Lachapelle.  Beloved father of Richard (Jamie), Denis (Liz), Yves (Bonnie), Susan (Monique) and Marleen Gladu (Gilles). Cherished grandfather to 17 grandchildren  Crystal, John, Ryan, Katie, Debbie, Jeffry, Bobby-Ann, Stéphanie, Kristin, Wes, Cody, Cindy, Jessie, Josée, Martin, Tiana, Chelsea and great-grandfather to 9 great-grandchildren Daniel, Drake, Greer, Sara, Travis, Samantha, Cashton, Danika-Nicole et Aleks. Loving brother of Florida Côté (Emmanuel), Léo-Paul (Bridgitte), late Sylvio, Denise (Aurel Deault), Huguette Larochelle (Henri) and late Angèle Roy (Gérard). Sadly missed by his Goudreault in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. His passing leaves a huge emptiness in the lives of those who knew him. Jean-Claude was a strong man with a huge heart; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, being a jokester and especially dancing. He retired from Inco, since 1990. Jean-Claude and Jeannine just celebrated their 58th anniversary of marriage on September 3rd. He was devoted to his wife, his daughter, four sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “We love you Dad.”  In keeping with Jean-Claude’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 8th, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford.  Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Dear husband of 70 years of Lucille Pharand (née David).  Father of Gaëtanne (Bruce McNab) of Sudbury, Raymond (Gisèle) of Garson, Françoise (François Bouchard) of Coniston, Carmen (Raymond Bouchard) of Sudbury and Claudette (Guy Clément) of Blind River.  Grandfather of Lise Cushing, Paul and Robert McNab, Julie Dunphy, Raymond Jr. and Michael Pharand, Marc and Serge Bouchard, Stéphane and Patrick Clément.  Great-grandfather of David, Bradley, Magen, Emily, Anik, Stéfanie, Leo, Samantha, Asa, Grayson, Alexia, Kayla, Connor and Chloe.  Son of the late Dovina (née Henri) and Moïse Pharand.  He was the brother of Simone Beaulne (late Philippe), Rita Portelance (Roland StGermain) and predeceased by Fovita, Marie Jeanne Bodson (René), Germain (Irène), Gédéon (Madeleine), Omer (Mildred), Maurice (Yvette of Sudbury) also leaves many nephews and nieces.  Leo was born in Blezard Valley but moved to the Flour Mill with his family when he was 5 years old.  He retired from the Copper Cliff Smelter in 1982.  With Lucille, he lived in their house in Minnow Lake since 1949 until his passing.  Leo was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11255 and an affiliate member of the Sudbury Legion Branch 76 in Minnow Lake since 1997.  The family will receive family and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E., Sudbury on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci Church, Coniston.  If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation.

Loving father of Fernand Dignard (late Anne), Marc Dignard (Carole) and Michel Dignard (Suzanne). Cherished grandfather of Vicky, Jamie, Jeanie and Bobby. Dear brother of Amanda Gallant (late Léo), Richard Dignard (Ruth) and Aldoria Dignard (Joanne). Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Laura Sonier (late Michel), Patricia Dignard and Alvida Dignard (Lorraine). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lucien was an avid Habs fan and loved his baseball (fast ball). He was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus council 6258.The happiest moments were when he was surrounded by his family and friends. Passed away at home on November 23, 2013 in her 97th year after a long life well lived. Predeceased by her husband Russell Burrows in 1990. Daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Farough. Audrey is survived by her family Bev, Kurt, Kyle, Kara and Zach; Ron; Bill, Teresa, Alex, Trish, Maggie, Thomas, Veronica, and Julian. Dear sister of the late Beulah and husband Gerald Watson. Audrey was a graduate of the RN program at Grace Hospital in 1940 and she retired from Huron Lodge Nursing Home. She was also a longtime and devoted member of the Bethel Maidstone UCW. Audrey is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. On November 22, 2013, at the age of 80, with loving family by his side.  Dear Dad of Pamela, Alan, Gaynor Taylor and husband Rodney.  Cherished Grandad of Madyson, Grant, and “Colby”.  Will be sadly missed by companion Shirley Lesperance and also by Shirley’s children, April and husband John, Lance, Todd and Marlene and several Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.  Dear Uncle of Diane, Geoffrey, Colin and wife Michelle; Sandra, Joyce and Ida of England.  Great-uncle of Stephen and Taylor.  Joe loved the sea, and served in The Merchant  British Navy as a Marine Engineer.  He retired from Chrysler Canada after 30 years of service as a Millwright.  After retirement, Joe spent many years enjoying golfing, watching soccer, and spending time with friends at The Canadian Anglo Club and Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 255.  Special thanks to the staff of Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette Campus for their compassionate care.  If you so desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee would be appreciated by the family. Phyllis Marie Johnston, age 88 years of Corunna and formerly of Sombra and Rutherford. Beloved wife of the late Ross (1997). Loving mother of Dr. Joe Johnston and his wife Pat of Essex, Janice Gale and her husband Bill of Woodstock, Judy Bailey and her husband Lenny of Petrolia and Jane McLachlin and her husband Dennis of Camlachie. She will be lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Phyllis is also survived by; her sisters, Willa Johnston of Wardsville, Jean Johnston of Bothwell and Bernice Pringle (Clifford) of Napanee; her brother, Don Myers (Evelyn) of Wardsville and by her sister-in-law, Nancy Myers of Alvinston. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by; her parents, Charles and Jessie Myers; her daughter-in-law, Doris         Johnston; her brother, John Myers; her sister-in-law, Mona Sanderson (Art) and by her brother-in-law, Jerry Johnston (Sally). Phyllis was proud of her time spent teaching in the Kent County School Board and enjoyed volunteering in various area hospitals after her retirement. Passed away peacefully at Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Friday, November 22, 2013.  LULU MARRIOTT (Weatherstone)(nee McPhail), of Petrolia, was in 106th year.  She was the loving wife of the George Weatherstone (1964) and Reid Marriott (1991).  She was the loved mother of the late Bob (Dorothy) Weatherstone of London and Shirley (the late Richard (2001))Blackwell of London,  and step-mother to the late Audrey (the late Irvin) Barrett, the late John (Bernice) Marriott, the late Isabel (Don) Moore, Walter (Shirley) Marriott, the late Shirley (the late Bob) Warren, and the late Eldon (the late Jean) Marriott.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  Lulu was predeceased by her parents Dougald and Flora McPhail, sisters Marguerite Johnston, Reta Capener, Levina Richardson, and her brothers James McPhail and Gordon McPhail.   She a was longtime member of the Rebekah Lodge in Petrolia.   A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia.  Visitors will be received prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.   Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery.   As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E. Born March 9, 1925 in Dover Township, daughter of Dominic and Alma (Sylvain) Lucier. Predeceased by her husband Gerard Poissant (1972). Dorothy is survived by her daughters Mary Lou Fotherby of Chatham, Doris Cowan of Oakville, and Linda Rivard of Chatham and her son Ken Poissant (Sandy) of Chatham. Dorothy is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings Dan Lucier, Harvey Lucier, Felix Lucier, Doria Charron, Stella Lozon and Noella Roberts. The Poissant family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Riverview Gardens for all of the loving care they provided for our mother during her stay.
