web_Sabelli_CarloIt is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and Nonno on October 28, 2013.  Loving and devoted husband to Rosaria with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage.  Much loved and cherished father of Tony & Florence Sabelli and Carmela & Duke Fenos.  Adored Nonno to his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Adrian & Alana Sabelli and Davis & Evan Fenos.  Carlo is survived by his sister Angolina Gualtieri and brother-in-law Antonio Desimone in Italy and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vincenzo and Giusepina Desimone in Windsor.  Carlo was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Angelo and Serafina Sabelli and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Italy.  Carlo was an immigrant from Agnone, Italy and had called Canada his home for 63 years.  In fact, he was the pioneer for his family to come to Canada alone at the tender age of 19 years.  Through hard work, determination and a great work ethic, he was able to pave the road for his new bride along with his mother, father, older brother and his family, to immigrate to Canada.  They were followed by many nieces and nephews.  Carlo was a retired Chrysler of Canada employee for whom he worked 37 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved dearly, as well as his friends.  He was an avid vegetable and flower gardener.  He loved to visit with friends at the Giovanni Caboto Club in the afternoons were he has been a member for many years. Special thanks to Windsor Regional Hospital Oncology doctors, and a great big hug to the special Oncology nurses on the 4th floor, especially Joanne, Jane, Lorie and Michaela.  Special thanks to Hospice staff and volunteers for exceptional care by Melissa and Tim. In lieu of flowers, donations if you wish, can be made to Transition to Betterness or Hospice of Windsor
