She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Desabrais; the son of the late Paul Laviolette and of the late Émilia Fauteux; the loving mother of Marcel (late Monique), Noël (Francine Cayen), Rachelle (Benoit Chenier), Gisèle (Louis Paquette), Gabrielle (Larry Kempf), Daniel and Aurel (Judith Chartrand); the adored grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; the dear sister of Gloria Zelak (Vankleek Hill) and Paulette Boyer (Indiana E.U). She was predeceased by children Michel and Marie also her brother Paul Jr. Laviolette and a sister Bertha Trottier. Predeceased by his first wife Daisy (Andrews). Loving father of Gary (Kathie), June Pozzebon (Rick), Ken (Janice) and Jamie (Connie). Sadly missed by his devoted grandchildren Cindy (Jake Fast), Jeff (Elizabeth and her sons Josh & Kristopher), Matthew, Jordan and Aaron Pozzebon, Jena and Michael, Richard (Willow) and Rachel (Jared Goerz) and great grandchildren Sarah and Alex Fast. Predeceased by his eight brothers and sisters.

Born at Niagara-on-the-Lake Cottage Hospital on June 12, 1927. Farmed in NOTL for over 50 years on Four Mile Creek Road. He also worked at Mason Dairy, Silverwood’s Dairy, Brights Canning Co. and Ministry of Transportation. He served 25 years with the St. Davids Volunteer Fire Department and his family is United Empire Loyalists (1783). As a young man he served in the 44th Artillery Field Regiment Reserve. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and euchre player. His passion for music was unwavering. He played in a Slingerland Band, was a square dance caller and in later years volunteered his musical talents at Upper Canada Lodge.

Richard is at Morgan Funeral Home, 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake where his family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6th and Wednesday, May 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Davids-Queenston United Church on Thursday morning, May 8th at 11:00. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Survived by her husband Guy Lagace, daughter Monique Perreault (Mike) of Chatham, sons: Steven Theriault & Michael Theriault both of London, grandchildren: Justin & Michael, sisters: Suzette Leeming (John) of Keswick & Catherine Allison (Keith) of Victoria B.C. Peacefully at Bluewater Health, on Sunday, May 4, 2014 John Convy passed away at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of Margaret for 43 years.  Loving father of Lynda. Dearly remembered by several nieces and nephews in Scotland.  Predeceased by his brothers Michael (WWII) and William and by his sisters Margaret, Jean, Annie and Celia.  John was a member of High Park United Church, he was a dedicated volunteer with the V.O.N. for 21 years being a friendly visitor and palliative visitor in people’s homes.  John retired from Nova Chemical, Corunna, after 14 years of service.   Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Alexander framed obitALEXANDER: Betty (Elizabeth) – Died on May 2, 2014 at Bluewater Health, aged 93, of Sarnia.  Predeceased by her husband Douglas in 1992.  Loved mother of Heather Preston (David Griffith) of Sherbrooke, QC, Wendy Johnston (Doug) of Bright’s Grove, ON, Brian Alexander (Kate) of Fergus, ON, and the late Kevin Alexander (2013).  Proud grandmother of Angie Alexander, Shane Johnston (Sheena), Ben (Amanda), Christyann, Lindsay, Braden and Donnette Alexander.  Also, loving “GG” (great-grandmother) of Mikayla and Keegan.  Dear sister of June Bannister, Fran Lewis and Jack Whitnell (Marjorie) and special friend of Randy Raaymakers.  In 1973 at the age of 52, Betty received her R.N. from the St. Clair School of Nursing.  She was very proud of this accomplishment.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 1576 London Line, Sarnia with visitation being held one hour prior to the service.  Cremation has taken place.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to The Inn of the Good Shepherd or Bluewater Health Foundation (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).  Memories and condolences may be sent online at smithfuneralhome.ca

KEITH MCNEILLMcNeill: It is with very heavy hearts that the McNeill family announce the passing of Keith Arnold McNeill in his 81st year, on May 3, 2014. He was the 4th of 7 children born to Archie and Dorothy (Munro) McNeill on the family farm which he worked until the last few years. Beloved husband for 29 years of M. Elizabeth (Betty) McNeill. Kind brother of Ruth Drost  and her late husband Bill, Bruce and Betty McNeill, Maurice and Kristi McNeill, Ruby and Bill Klassen, Roy and Norma McNeill,and  the late (Lloyd) and his wife Betty McNeill. Special brother-in-law to Elsie Howes (late Arnold), Rose and J. W. Welch, and the late Wesley and Judy Benjamin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Private Family Service will be held at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Interment Bothwell Cemetery. Kirwan: Lee David of Wyoming, Ontario

Taken from us suddenly, as a result of a car accident on Saturday, May 3, 2014 LEE KIRWAN age 50 of Wyoming. Cherished son of David and Sylvia Kirwan of Sarnia. Will be dearly missed by his brother Darren and his wife Darlene of Brigden. Lovingly remembered by his nephews Sean and Ryan Kirwan. Also remembered by his many extended family members. Lee was a proud member of the Millrights Union, Local 1592. Family will receive friends at the D.J. Beloved husband of Priscilla Bastien (Beausoleil – nee Kennette). Dear Husband of the late Georgina Giofu (2001) and Lynda Levack (2003).
