ROSE, Rae – Peacefully, surrounded by family, in Newmarket on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, Margaret Rae Rose (nee Tolman) of Woodstock at the age of 80.  Wife of the late Ted (1983).  Loving mother of Jackie Rose-Madill (Jamie), Carol Rose-Welin (Len), and Wendy Rose, and mother-in-law of Cheryl Mader.  Grandmother of Trevor, Kyle, Brett, Peggy, Christopher, Alison, Darren, Logan, Conor and Tyler and great grandmother of Justin, Hailey and Sienna.  Sister of Donna Brockway (Budd).  Also remembered by her nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her son Jim Rose (2010) and daughter Dianne Monteith (2012).  The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Cindy So, as well as Vicky, Mary, and Meghan for their compassionate care.  Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Thursday, 7-9 pm.  A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. David’s United Church, 190 Springbank Avenue North, Woodstock on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mackey, Norman Thomas of Belleville, passed away at QHC Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, June 27th, in his 95th year. Long time employee of  American Optical Company, and a long time resident at the Richmond Retirement Centre. Son of the late Margret and Thomas Mackey. Beloved husband of the late Elva (nee Wannamaker) Mackey. Dear father of June (Len) Steele, of Belleville. Much loved grandfather of Rick Steele and Roxanne (Derk) Damron, and Great Poppy to Olivia, Isabelle, and Sophia Damron, all of Belleville. Dear brother of Olive (the late Ron) Wood, of Belleville; and Elwood (Phyllis) Mackey of Bancroft; and brother-in-law of Edna Mackey of MacArthur`s Mills. Predeceased by granddaughter Annette Steele, and by two sisters, Marjorie (the late Ralph) Loney and Aletha (the late Lloyd) Inwood, and by brothers Russell, Gillie, Jimmie (the late Peggy), Eddie and Bert. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Joan Sullivan appreciated the meaning of responsible citizenship. While a wife, mother and worker, she was engaged in her community as a volunteer, activist and humanitarian. She was once senior legal secretary to the City Solicitor at a time when married women with children were not permitted to hold such positions in the public service beyond the “acting“ period of the occupancy, She later served as office manager for the firm of Hochberg Sloppen, during which time she organized for the certification of a union for legal secretaries. She concluded her career as an instructor at St. Clair College. In her retirement, with her husband Tom, she was an active volunteer in the unincorporated community of Tilden Lake and a proud fund raiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Tricia, and by her dear daughter Ruth (Mathews). She is survived by several grandchildren both biological and adopted. In lieu of flowers or other gifts of remembrance, the family recommends a donation to the Cancer Society or other charity of your choice. Shreeves Mable June 26Peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Mabel passed away on the 26th day of June 2013 in her 79th year.  Loving mother of James Mitchell of Port Hope and the late(Doreen).  Dear grandmother of James, Alicia and Andrew and great grandmother of Izaak and Taylor.  Beloved sister of Florence Snowden of Curtis, brother Jim Moore of Port Hope and predeceased by sisters Marion Fox, Helen Wright and her brother William Moore.  Daughter of the late Catherine and Fred Moore.  Mabel will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and close friends.  A Memorial Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Saturday, July 6th, at 2 pm.  Visitation will be from 1 – 2 pm.  Interment to take place in Rosedale Cemetery, Moose jaw, Saskatchewan by family at a later date.  Those wishing may make Memorial donations  to the Humane Society in memory of Mabel.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.

VINCENT: Eileen of London

Peacefully on June 26 at Parkwood Hospital in her 94th year, Eileen Vincent, beloved wife of the late Cyril Vincent (2001), passed from this life to join her husband and grandchildren Angie (2004) and Chris (2008) Shannon. Eileen is survived by her loving daughters Sandra (Rev. Canon William) Rainey of Guelph, Linda (Tom) Leadston of Bracebridge and Nikki Shannon of Medford MA, 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Eileen was an active volunteer in the London community, having served more than 40 years with the Victoria Hospital Auxiliary, including a term as President. In recognition of her extraordinary contribution, Eileen was awarded a life membership in the Ontario Hospital Auxiliary Association. As a leader of Brownies and Girl Guides in England and in Canada, she touched the lives of many growing women. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Anglican Church, 249 Hamilton Road, London with visitation an hour prior to the service.
