Cassels, Robert Hamilton (Mr. Bob) of Barrie, Ontario

Posted by on January 26, 2017

Cassels, Robert Hamilton (Mr. Bob) – Bob died unexpectedly on January 20, 2017. He leaves his beloved daughter Vanessa (Michael Chudy) and grandson John, and his brother John (Katharina) in Calgary, along with a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Bob was well known in the Barrie business community, for his networking events and his marketing programs for local entrepreneurs and small businesses. He was also a Distinguished Toastmaster, played a founding role in several BNI chapters, and was active in the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
Bob had a competitive spirit – on the tennis court and the croquet pitch, and around the table at cards and board games. He was also a dreamer who loved to laugh and loved people, and he had a real passion for helping others succeed. Bob approached all of life with a positive attitude and his cheerfulness was a strength that he shared with all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and the many local entrepreneurs he worked with. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, January 29th from 2pm to 4pm, at the Sheba Shrine Club, 142 John St. in Barrie. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. If you’d like to honour Mr. Bob’s commitment to his local community, shop at a locally owned business this week
