Dear grandma of Andrew (Maura) Bunn and Gary (Amanda) Bunn all of England, Kelly (Rodney) Kazmir of Fort Erie and Stephen Giles of Glencoe. Margaret Wettlaufer, of Hanover, passed away at Grey-Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, May 12, 2014, in her 73rd year.

Survived by daughter Sheila Wettlaufer (Ivan Monk) of Hanover, grandchildren Kyle and Cody Monk. Margaret will be fondly remembered by her many brothers Leonard Wettlaufer of Walkerton, Lloyd (Betty) Wettlaufer of Windsor, Willard (Erna)  Wettlaufer of Didsbury Alberta, Eldon (Carol) Wettlaufer of St. Thomas and sisters Dorothy Hahn of Hanover, Almeda Hartman of Didsbury Alberta, Julie Deeves of Durham, Mildred Albrecht of Mildmay, Shirley (Al) Meagher of Ayton, Marie Noble of Hanover, Marlene Clough of Hanover. Loving father of Angèle Thompson (Denis) and Gilles. Beloved son of Austin and Beverley (née Johnstone) Pickard of Manitoulin Island. Dear brother of Mary Webb (Kevin) and Tammy Aube (Shawn). Reinholt- Jean (Racher) of Caressant Care Home, Bonnie Place, St. Thomas passed away at her late residence on Monday, May 12, 2014 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of Jack Reinholt and loving mother of  Jack Carley and his wife Margaret, Carl Reinholt and his partner Denise McLeod, Robin Reinholt and his partner Pat Matton, Tim and his wife Heather Reinholt and Ron and his wife Darlene Reinholt. Loved grandmother of Andrea, Scott, Lauren, Stephanie, Shawn, Sara, Rachael, Brian, John and Christopher and by many great grandchildren. Dear brother of late Joe and Mary Racher, late Victor and Phylis Racher and is survived by sister-in-law Marlene Reinholt of Listowel and by a niece Lynn Racher of Kingston. Jean was born June 28, 1921 in Hagersville, the daughter of the late Jack and Martha Racher. She was a member of Center St Baptist Church for many years. She was involved with the mission circle as well as the Sunday school program and attended bible study groups faithfully.

Dear brother of Mary Ann Caughell (late Herb), John Clark (Donna), Jim Clark (Barb), Gerry Clark (Val) and Elaine Bertelsen (Rick). Dear brother-in-law of Jim Brady (Sylvia), John Brady (Bonnie), Martin Brady, Gerald Brady, Terry Brady (Tammy) and Theresa Lane (Mike). Sadly missed by a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was born in Yarmouth Township on September 9th, 1935, the son of the late James and Mary (Johnson) Clark.

Tanguay- Dr. J.C. “Ben” M.D. (Laval P.Q.) F.R.C.S.C., retired Ophthalmologist, passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2014, at home with his family. Predeceased by his parents Jeannette and Lionel, his first wife Olga (Hoo), his brother “Pat” (Gilberte) and by his son Mark. With great sorrow he is survived by his loving wife Anna (Repas), daughter Jeannette and son Gary Tanguay both of Toronto, daughter-in-law Lisa and by grandchildren, Taryn and Bridget of Edmonton and grandson Ryan (Eiko) of B.C . Cherished brother of Fabienne Tanguay, Lise Tanguay, Mireille Tanguay and Alain Tanguay (Anne Parent) all of Quebec city. He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews in Quebec, Ontario, B.C. and Newfoundland. He will be missed by his long-time very special friends in St. Thomas: the Balsdons, the Wrights and the Wylies and in Guelph, the Kuders. Ben was born August 28, 1927, in Charlesbourg, P.Q., he was one of nine children. He practiced in St. Thomas since the early 60”s, both as a consultant and as an eye surgeon at the St. Thomas- Elgin General Hospital until his retirement in 2000. A quiet soul, respected, who hated confrontations and chaos. Loved sports and when he was younger, he was a curler, tennis player, skier and golfer. As time went by he limited himself to golfing with “the Boys”, competing with Anna in cribbage and for the jumble in the morning paper. He enjoyed Sudoku, reading everything, (including “Flyers”), watching sportscasts, “especially the Laval Rouge et Or, and the Vanier Cup. Ben had a meticulous nature both of himself and possessions i.e. shoes “spit and Polish” (RCAF trained).  He was an expert with a yo-yo in earlier years and in later years he was a “fixer-upper” “tinkerer” at home and he would work on toasters, hairdryers, anything that broke down. He always maintained contact with his family, in both Quebec and the West, and always looked forward to yearly visits to and from them.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Parish (20 Morrison Dr., St. Thomas) on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes in Holy Angels Cemetery at a later date. No visitation. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, the  Liver Foundation, the Brain Tumour Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis. Udell, John W. of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2014, at  the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Donna J. Udell (April 2007) and dearly loved father of Sheryl Taylor, Deborah Temple, Kimberlee Weatherford and John R. Udell. Loved brother of Betty McAulliffe, Carol Duncan, Robert Udell and the late Lloyd and Donald Udell. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Morrow and Christopher Taylor, Shannon Temple, Teresa Reed, and Lindy (Scott) Calhoun, Amy and Brian Weatherford and  several great grandchildren. John was born in Niagara Falls on October 27th, 1927, the son of the late Glen and Lulu (Roy) Udell. He was a retired machine operator.

Beloved wife of the late Gord Bradley (2013) and the late Chester Allan Lodge (1973). Loved mother of Tammi Falk and the late Tina Lodge (1972). Proud grandmother of Andrew and Kristen Falk. Dear sister of Leroy Collins, Gloria Collins, Diane (Brian) Spurgeon and Mike (Heather) Collins. Dear sister-in-law of Audrey (Stan) Albert, Jack (Sally) Bradley, late Len Bradley (2008) and the late Lorraine Greening (1993). Special friend to Sheila, Lois, Brenda, Jane, Sandy and Bernice. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and missed by her precious puppies Max and Charles. Bonnie was born August 23, 1952 in St. Thomas, the daughter of Marion (Johnson) Collins and the late Harry Collins (2007). Bonnie was a nurse, she loved her farm life and camping. She looked forward to getting to the lake and spending her time with very special friends every weekend.

Father-in-law and best friend Rick (Cheska) Duncan, and mother-in-law Peggy Peters.  Survived by his sisters Marion (Don) Shand, June (John) Irving, Dorethy Duncan, Brenda (Bruce) Stevenson, Marlene (Carl) Mercer, special brother Patrick Powell, brother-in-law to  Ken (Tanya) Duncan, Jodi Duncan, Trevor Duncan, Doug Peters, Amanda Peters, many aunts, uncles, as well as Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Tillie Powell, sister Linda (Ross) Whiting, nephews Trevor, David and Martin Whiting and Richie Prince. Tom was born February 2, 1960. Tom had six sisters and one brother, a wife and two sons. Tom was always a strong man, but these last two years showed everyone just how strong he really was. He has fought cancer for over two years, and never once gave up, even at the end. Tom was a diesel mechanic, and a very good one. He was well known for his great work. He had a great love for old cars, especially old Novas. He loved building them and working on them. Tom was a teacher, because of him there are many fine young men in this world from mechanics to bodymen and handymen. Tom loved life. He adored his wife and loved his boys and was very proud of them. Tom could make you smile with one word or just his little smirk. Tom was a hard worker and kind-hearted man, he would do anything for you. He loved his dogs, Waffles and Jack. Family meant everything to him, he loved them all and was loved by all of them and anyone who knew him. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Father of Brett Thorogood of Maple Ridge, BC, Sheri Thorogood, Sheryl Thorogood, both of Calgary, AB, and Patrick Thorogood of London. Brother of Georgina Pimlatt (Kenneth) of St. Thomas. Also survived by several grandchildren. Born in St. Thomas, ON, September 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Frederick William and Winnifred (nee Goldspink) Thorogood. Doug was the retired owner/operator of R & D Electrical Systems. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Doug was an avid golfer and enjoyed dancing. Relatives and friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Monday, May 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13th at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in South Park Cemetery. Johnston, Dave (WinCE)A resident of Chatham, Dave Johnston died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday May 11, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.  He was born in Oshawa, 71 years ago, son of the late Roy & Florence (Drew) Johnston.  Beloved husband of Diane Johnston for over 50 years.  Loving father of Ray & Heather Johnston, and Shari & Mark Glassford, all of Chatham.  Proud grandfather of Erika and Nicole Johnston, Josh Dicaire, Chris, Amber, and Ashley Glassford, and great grandfather of Lucas and Cameron.  Dear brother of Darlene Varga (Jack DaSilva) of Chatham, Deb Stuenenberg (late Bert) of St. Williams, and predeceased by his brother Don Johnston.  He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.  Dave made his career as an auto mechanic, retiring from his own business “Johnston’s Auto Service” on Thames Street in 2006.  He volunteered as a coach and convenor with Chatham Minor Hockey for over 20 years.  Cremation has taken place.  Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday May 17, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or Chatham-Kent OSPCA in memory of Dave.
