She was the beloved wife of the late Tadeusz Ratajczak; the daughter of the late Konstantin Kornek and of the late Monika Adamczyk; the loving mother of John Ratel(Susan), Harry (Marie), Stanley (Manon Soucy), Tony (Tina Cormier) and Theodore (Sue Hudson); the adored grandmother of Stephen, Kimberly, Noah, Abigale, Elisha, Melissa and Bradley; the dear sister of Gertrud Kornek-Rahn and Hilda Garde. She is survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

WilliamsonDennis Williamson, 1953–2014, peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Royal Victoria Hospital with his wife, Linda Williamson by his side.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Linda, son Ryan, daughter Jacklyn, step-children Carolyn, Judy, Greg and spouses.  Beloved Poppa to Hailey, Madison and Brenden.  Lovingly remembered by his sister Mary and brother John (Delma).  Uncle to Dawn, Diane and David and a Dear son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Williamson.

A memorial service will be held at the Innisfil Community Church, 1571 Innisfil Beach Rd, Innisfil, Ont. on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Visitation/condolences 1-2 pm. Memorial service at 2pm with refreshments to follow.

Private family burial to be in the spring at the 6th Line Cemetery in Innisfil.

SPORER, John of Sudbury, formerly of Timmins, ON

SPORER, JohnJohn Sporer, 83, of Sudbury passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 8th, 2014. John was born in Sudbury on August 9th, 1930 to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Banko) Sporer and grew up in Timmins. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1957 with first class honours with a degree in Geology and spent his career in education as a teacher and principal. He married Lenore (Marshall) in 1955 and over the next 58 years, they built a family in Schumacher and then Sudbury with summers spent at their beloved cottage on Ice Chest Lake in Timmins. John spent his early career as a surveyor with Pamour Mines in northern Ontario. He entered the classroom in 1959 as a highly regarded teacher and principal with the Timmins and Sudbury Boards of Education. During his career, he served as a board member of the Haileybury School of Mines. John also played an active role with The Retired Teachers of Ontario. After his retirement, John dedicated his time to his greenhouse and his new successful business selling plants. John will also be remembered for his lifelong enjoyment of curling. He served as President of the Sudbury Curling Club and in his retirement he established the popular Pensioner’s League at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club. His dedication earned him the Northern Ontario Curling Association Volunteer Award in 2011. John’s knowledge on any topic seemed limitless and he always had a story to tell and an opinion to share. He was never short on words. He was an active member in his neighbourhood shaping the community especially around the growth and development of Robinson Playground in Sudbury. He enjoyed his sports and supported the Sudbury Wolves and attended many Briers and the Roar of the Rings. John was also a known handyman and his skills in this area were called upon often. His never-ending curiosity took him on camping excursions across the country and trips throughout the US, South Africa and Italy. John will be missed at Ice Chest Lake where he served as President of the Cottagers Association. He loved his summers at camp and on any given day, he could be found splitting wood or driving through the bush on his four wheeler scoping blueberry patches. John’s inspiration will be greatly missed by his six children: Gayle (Mark Lemieux) of London, Ontario; Janice (Ido Vettoretti) and Peter (Kathy Latva-Aro) of Sudbury; Allan (Suzanne Coloumbe) of Edmonton; Christine Strobele of Toronto and Cathy O’Hara of Bradford.   He was cherished by his 14 grandchildren: Carolyne, Darren (predeceased), Greg, Lisa, Laura, Andrea, Jennifer, Julia (Jeremy Chalut), Alex, Kyle (Robyn Geisler), Renee, Ryan, John and Liam and most recently his 3 great grandchildren: Cooper, Lillia and Payton. John is also survived by his two cousins in Timmins: Veronica and Mary Ann Sustar and a number of nieces and nephews. John’s family and their accomplishments were his proudest legacy. Visitation will be held at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Sunday, March 16th at 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating John’s life on Monday, March 17th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Deceased, March 9, 2014, Sudbury, Ontario.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Antoinette (née Pella) Pagan.  Predeceased by his parents Santo Pagan and Modesta (née Ballarin) Pagan.  Survived by his son Terry Pagan (Laurie).  He is also predeceased by his siblings Narcisa, Guido, Luigi, Bruna, Maricci, Roméo, Tiziano, Norma and Giovanni.  Duilio will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews in the Pagan and Pella families.  He served in the Italian Navy and immigrated to Canada about 1952 where he worked at INCO for over 30 years.  Duilio loved nothing more than making wine, fishing, gardening and watching the birds go by.  He also loved to spend time with his dogs Chi-Chi and Cozmo.  His garden was appreciated by his family, his friends and neighbours with whom he generously shared the harvest.  Keeping with Duilio’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  A memorial mass will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at St-Patrick’s Church, Sudbury.  Donations (by cheque only) to the Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.

Passed away on Mar.14, 2014 at 75 years of age.  Beloved husband of Flora (Pannunzio) for 47 years.  Loving father of Nick and Kim Di Laudo, Jamie and Sue Di Laudo, Dino and Janice Di Laudo, Roberta and Scott Brown, Steve and Jennifer Di Laudo.  Adored Grandpa of Ryan, Marissa, Serena; Myah, Abby, Nico, Lily; Marco, Tahlia, Nathan; Emma, Kaden and Connor.  Predeceased by his parents Nicola and Filomena Di Laudo.  Dear brother of Ascenzo (Giuseppina) Di Laudo, the late Albina (the late Enrico) Sabelli, the late infant Vincenzino Di Laudo, Elisa (Guido) Pannunzio, Valchiria (Vincenzo) Iaciancio, Giuseppe (Anna) Di Laudo, Gina (the late Mario) Di Iacovo, Vincenzo (Giovanna) Di Laudo and Maria (Amelio) Cirulli.  Dear brother-in-law of Guido (Elisa) Pannunzio, Mary (the late Neil) VanOirschot, the late Fred (Nina) Pannunzio and Perry (Peggy) Pannunzio.  He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Filippo was a proud lifetime member of the Roma Club of Leamington and a member of the Leamington Italian Choir.  He was a retiree from Chrysler Canada, Local 444 and spent many years farming in the Leamington area.  He had a passion for storytelling, cooking, his homemade wine and spending time in his hometown of Poggio Sannita, Italy.  He will be dearly missed.  Visiting at Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm; 7:00-9:00 pm, with parish prayers at 8:00pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church, 310 Sherk St. Leamington, Fr. Patrick Beneteau officiating. Entered into rest in Brockville on Sunday March 16, 2014.  The former Shirley blanche Rockey aged 76 year.  Beloved wife of the late Ralph Lowe. Loving mother of Connie Lowe (partner James Gilmour), Terry Lowe (Janet), Steven Lowe and Brenda Lowe (partner chris Walling) all of Brockville. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her grandchildren John, Jennifer, Matthew, Rebecca, Kayla, Sean, and Michelle great-grandchildren Dominic, Sierra, Chloe, Cameron, Madison, Autumn, Gabby, Airiannah and Cameron, a sister Lillian Bradley of Brockville as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Hilton and Lillian (Graham) rockey and brothers Harold, Leonard and Archie.

WagnerdavidwebIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Murray Wagner of Lakeside at the age of 63, on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the VON Sakura House in Woodstock, with his wife by his side.  Born in Stratford ON, on October 15, 1950 to the late Stanley and  Eileen (nee Murray) Wagner. David will always be remembered by his loving wife Astrid Segeren-Wagner with whom he had been together for 30 years. Lovingly remembered by his sisters Susan McGavin (Bill), Lori Ruston (Tom) and his brothers Allen Wagner (Bev), Doug Wagner (Jenny),  Mark Wagner (Linda), as well as by Astrid’s family, Nelly Segeren, Wilma Segeren, Cathy Segeren (John), Agnes Segeren-Pethick (Brian), Adrian Segeren (Marnie), Tim Segeren (Peggy). Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 16, 2014 at 93 years of age.  Finally reunited after almost 22 years, with her beloved husband Desmond (1992). Cherished mother of David (Cheryl) and Susan Harris (Fred). Loving grandmother of Christopher (Kayley), Taralyn, Alyssa and Olivia. Devoted daughter of the late William & Jessie Osborne. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews in Scotland and England. Elsie was a devoted former member of Riverside Presbyterian Church – now R.P.C. Congregation. She was also involved with the Trefoild Guild of the Girl Guides of Canada.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Extendicare Southwood Lakes for their care and compassion.  A special thank you to Dr. Bagga, Dr. Aoun and the nurses of 7W at W.R.H. – Ouellette Campus.  Elsie will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
