Hannigan M2Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital with her family by her side, Madelyn Reta Hannigan passed on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at the age of 75. Beloved life-long friend of Anna Rennie. Predeceased by her father William Hannigan, mother Bella, and brothers Ronald and Tom. Survived by her brothers Bob and Denny. Fondly remembered by her many nieces & nephews: great, great great, and great great great. Madelyn enjoyed and retired from a life-long career at Ontario Hydro. A gifted analyst at the pioneering stage of Computer Science. Meeting life-long friends at Venture Club, she enjoyed travel, bowling, golf and the pursuit of bargains (shopping). Her Venture Club friends remembering “she was small but MIGHTY”. She was very creative and talented at arts & crafts, fashion & furniture restoration. There really wasn’t anything she couldn’t fix, repair, or mend, with her motto being “I will not be defeated”. As per her wishes, no service will be held. Madelyn will be cremated with interment at St. John Norway in Toronto.  On Saturday, January 31, 2015, Joe passed away peacefully at his residence. Beloved husband of Helga for 53 years. Loving and proud father of Mona and Joey (Lisa). Cherished Grandfather of Jared (Kasey), Paige, Sarah, and Maitlyn. He is survived by brothers Tom (Barb), Wayne, Richard, and Randy and sisters Joan (Alex), Linda, Darlene (Max) and Brenda. Predeceased by his father, mother, brother Stewart (Wendy) and sister Deborah. Joe enlisted in the Canadian Forces in 1958 and proudly served his country for 22 years. During those years, he served 3 tours in Germany and a peacekeeping mission in Cyprus. He also served in bases located in N.S., N.B. and ON. Upon leaving the forces, he spent 19 years with Canada Post. A memorial service under the auspices of the of the Royal Canadian Regiment Association will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment of ashes at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Marguerite was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Harold Fitzgerald (2011) for 62 years. She will be remembered and cherished always by her daughter Carol Cormier, granddaughters Lisa (James) Burdan, Jennifer (Darren) Rogers and Shannon Roby. Jack served 10 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and was a member of I.B.E.W. L.U. 530 for over 40 years. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE on Wednesday February 4th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at the Royal Canadian Legion Br 62.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Sinclair (2)Passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Sunday January 25, 2015 in his 59th year. Larry of Duntroon, beloved husband of Pat Elson. Loving father of Kelly Sinclair (Chanse Dionne) and Megan Sinclair. Dear son of Audrey and the late Jim Sinclair. Brother of Shelley (Bob Greer) and Shawn Sinclair (Eileen Isaac). Larry will also be missed by his mother-in-law Ann Elson, sisters-in-law Margaret (Rick Lee) and Janet Elson, brother-in-law Donald Elson (Julie Payton-Farrell), nephews Sam and Chris Greer and nieces Jennifer and Isabelle Lee. Larry’s passion for and commitment to cross country skiing will be long remembered by the ski community. His leadership as mentor and coach for many cross country ski athletes, and contributions to building the sport of skiing across Canada will be missed. Private family service to be held. A Celebration of Larry’s life for family and friends will be held at Highlands Nordic, Duntroon in the spring. IMAG0356Peacefully passed surrounded by his family on January 29th, 2015 at Strathmere Lodge in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Stella Topolie. Loving father of Barbara (Juri) Pill and Gary (Edith Dewar) Topolie. Proud grandfather of Dean Topolie, Megan Catenacci, Beth Pizio, Tracy Topolie, Katherine Pill, and Alison Pill. Cherished great-grandfather of Cole, Violet, Anthony Jr., and Wynnifred. Survived by his cousin Lorne Topolniski. Stephen had a successful career at Ford for over 40 years. He also had a strong passion for golf and belonged to Sunningdale Golf Course for 25 years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1st, 2015 from 2 until 4 p.m at Denning Bros. Funeral Home in Strathroy (519-245-1023). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2nd at 1 p.m in the chapel. Interment to follow at Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Mt. Brydges.
