Anne Marie Cooper of Ridgetown, much loved mother of Tanya Marie Cooper and grandmother of Mark Jackson and Joel Jackson passed away peacefully on December 24, 2013 at the age of 68 years.  Born in Bagotville Quebec, Anne Marie was one of twelve siblings born to her late parents Cecile & Robert Gagnon.  She is survived by Jeannine Gagnon, Philipe Gagnon, Marguerite Gagnon & Marcel Perron, Marthe & Roger Pineault, Edmond Gagnon & Celine Bedard, Nicole Gagnon & Claude Perron, Michel Gagnon and Denise Gagnon, and by her chosen siblings Guy Girard & Elia Simard, Nicole Girard & Arthur Grenon and Olivette Girard.  When Anne Marie married Jim Cooper (who predeceased her on October 7, 2011), her family grew to include daughters Debra Leslie, Barbara Bowen and Lisa Cooper, grandchildren Tiffany, Trina, Ryan, Jason and Derek, and most recently great-grandchildren Wyatt, Cameron and Carter.  She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Carolyn Cooper and Dorothy Cooper.  In addition to her parents, Anne Marie was predeceased by her son Michael James Cooper, her chosen parents Albert Girard & Corinne Renaud as well as her family members Paul Tremblay, Raymond Gagnon, Yolande Gagnon & Raymond Tremblay, Pierrette Fortin, Paul-Henri Gagnon & Mathilda Dallaire, Ginette Ross, Yvon Fortin, Renaud Girard, Marcel Lauzier, Arlette & Rosaire Girard and by Jim’s brothers Dave Cooper and Jerry Cooper.  Anne Marie was grateful in her life to have been surrounded by a wonderful group of nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

Despite the challenges that life sent her way, Anne Marie always maintained a positive outlook on life.  She was a lady of great strength and great character.  She could tell a joke, shoot a gun and at the end of the day instill a sense of peace in those she loved.

He was the loving husband of Beverly Quackenbush and dear father of William (Kim), Douglas (Jen) and Donald (Kim) and daughter Jen (Rusty), 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, brother of Celena, Doreen, Cathy, Fran and Debbie, brother in law of Carol and Wayne, Gord, and Diane. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Bill will be deeply missed by his little pet girl “Suzie Q”. He was predeceased by his parents William and Luella, sisters Donna and Marion, step-father Tom Scott, sister in law Kathy and Vickie, mother and father in law Gordon and Joanne and his grandson Tyler (1999). Bill (Big Daddy) Quackenbush), a.k.a., the Mayor of Paradise Valley Family Campground retired from Holmes Foundry after 27 years of service. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robert Bruce Durance passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013.  Loving husband of 46 years of Susan (Peaker) and loving father of Kelly Dianne Mootrey of Sarnia and Robert John James Durance (Joanna) of Collingwood and son-in-law David Mootrey of Sarnia.  Much loved grandfather of Cassandra Dianne Tite (Kevin), Kevin Mootrey, and Jesse Mootrey all of Sarnia and Vienna Grace Durance of Collingwood and great grandfather of Emily Elizabeth Tite of Sarnia.  Also survived by brothers Donald (Gail) of Sarnia, James (Audrey) of Marysville, Michigan, sister Barbara Holmes of Sarnia, sister-in-law Debra Watson (Dave) of Corunna and brother-in-law Paul Peaker (Debbie) of Sarnia and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret (Causley) Durance, brother Michael Neifer, sister-in-law Del Neifer, and in-laws John and Mary Peaker of Sarnia.  Bob was a 46-year member of Local 663, Plumbers, Pipefitters and Welders, a former member of the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club and Sarnia Figure Skating Club.  He loved fishing and boating and he and Sue spent a number of years boating and fishing in Georgian Bay as well as fishing in the Bluewater Salmon Derby.  Cremation has taken place and a private family committal service will be held later at Lakeview Cemetery. Loving mother of Carol Strachan (Brian) of Port Perry, Dennis Dowker of Windsor and Donna Faulkner (Robert) of Ottawa. Predeceased by her son Harvey Dowker (1997). Proud grandmother of Jennifer Dowker, Fleur Ball (Brent), Lesley Blakely (Ryan) and Erin Tracey (Kieran). Predeceased by her grandson Graham. Great-grandmother to 3 great-grandchildren.
