à l’âge de 86 ans. Elle était l’épouse de feu Jean-Jules (Jules) Chartrand et la fille de feu Aurel Guindon et de feu Oda Bourbonnais.  Elle était la mère bien-aimée de Paul (Guylaine), Thérèse (Marcel) et Jeannine (Yvan); la grand-mère adorée de Éric et Isabelle Chénier, Claudie, Julien, Hubert, Sophie et Sonia Chartrand et de Myriam, Maude, Vincent et Corine Fréchette; l’arrière-grand-mère de 9 petits-enfants; et la chère soeur de Marcel (Réjeanne Lapointe) et Jean-Guy (feu Mariette Charbonneau).  Elle fut prédécédée par 3 frères, 2 soeurs ainsi qu’une arrière-petite-fille. Lui survivent également deux belles-soeurs ainsi que plusieurs cousins, cousines, neveux, nièces et amis.

La direction des funérailles a été confiée au Complexe Funéraire Familial de la Petite-Nation Shields Berthiaume, 101, rue Principale, Saint-André-Avellin, Québec (819) 983-6616.

Les obsèques auront lieu en l’Église Coeur-Très-Pur-de-Marie de Plaisance le lundi 7 septembre 2015 à 16 heures.  La famille sera présente à l’église à compter de 15 h 15 pour recevoir vos condoléances.  Inhumation au cimetière paroissial.

Reid press release photoReid, Stanley Albert – a longtime Belleville resident passed away at QHC- Belleville General Hospital on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in his 94th year. He is survived by his son, Rodney (Helene) of Stratford, step children Clayton, Richard Billy, Catharine and Sandra and his sister Hazel (Gerry Doyle). He is also survived by brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Stan was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Hannah) in 1987 and by his wife Virginia “Ginny” (formerly Conlon nee Berry) in 2014, by his sister Evelyn and by his step daughter Susanne “Susie”.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Wednesday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation.

The family would like to thank the staff of Quinte 5 (BGH) for making Stan’s last days peaceful and the staff at the Richmond for every thing they did for him over the last year.

Wilkinson, Duncan Samuel– age 70, of Courtright, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Mary Margaret (Strangway) Wilkinson. Loving father of Eyvonne Findlay, Daniel (Janice) Wilkinson, Kristina (Marty) Dewhirst, Teresa (Jason) Japp. Dear grandpa of Alexis and Connor Wilkinson, Devin and Jayden Dewhirst, Chelsea and Ryan Japp. Survived by siblings Bob (Anne) Wilkinson, Beverly (Richard) Wilson and Jack (Julie) Wilkinson. Predeceased by parents Robert Duncan and Doris June (Lucas) Wilkinson. Duncan was a member of CEP Local 914, retired from Dow and enjoyed woodworking, mechanic’s, photography, former pilot and was a past member of the Courtright Fire Dept. 24826 CookCOOK, Alma Perelea…. Alma Percelea Cook, loving wife, partner and parent passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at University Hospital in London, Ontario. Alma met and married Carman Cook in Los Angeles and followed her husband across the country to build a new life with the man she loved. What followed was the happiest of before, during and ‘ever-after’ happy endings. Married for 62 years, Alma and Carman raised their daughter Joey and son Anthony and saw them both married, happy and successfully pursuing their own goals and dreams. Alma and Carman built Cook Steel Enterprises and created Cook’s Public Storage, the first self-storage business in all of Canada. They were together every step of the way, partners in the truest sense. Alma graduated High School in 1942 and immediately went to work building airplanes at North American Aircraft in California until the end of WW2. She moved on to become the first woman Shift Boss at Technicolor when they were the gold standard in the industry, helping create some of Hollywood’s most enduring classic color films. Her life was filled with hard work, struggle and accomplishment. Full of shared adventures and the love of family and friends. Alma is survived by her husband, Carmen Edgar Cook, her children Joey and her husband John, Anthony and his wife Mary, grandson Cole, his wife Traci and her great grandchildren Otto and Luna. Sylvia 2 Silvia Noemia Santos, age 34 of London, Ontario, passed away on August 30, 2015 at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. She was born to her loving parents, Ilda and José Santos, on October 16, 1980 in Pombal, Portugal. Silvia, or ‘Tia’ as she was affectionately known by her nieces (both biological and spiritual) and nephew, endured a year long battle with gastric cancer. Throughout her journey, she braved chemotherapy treatments and surgeries at University and Victoria Hospitals, and alternative treatments at the Oasis of Hope Hospital. She is survived by her parents José and Ilda, brother Pedro (Sonia), sister Elizabeth (Jim, Rob), nieces Nayde, Kyana, Seana and nephew Wyatt, and by many adored family and friends. Loving husband for 64 years of marriage to Dorothy (Nurse) McKellar. Beloved father of Laurie McKellar, Gail Bugden and Bill McKellar and father-in-law of France-Lyse Ruest. Cherished grandfather of Alexander McKellar, Madeleine McKellar, Evelyn McKellar, Spencer Bugden and Marshall Bugden. Treasured great-grandfather of Lincoln Cuevas. Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, August 28, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Helen Turner, proud mother of Olivia, passed away at the age of 53. Beloved daughter of Peggy and the late Philip Turner. Treasured sister of Lesleigh, Scott, and Pete and his wife Heather. Survived by nieces and nephews Corlyn, Sarah, Duncan, Maxine and Kate. Fondly remembered by extended family in the U.K. Loving companion and best friend of Rod Catford. Helen especially loved being a mother and was passionate about her family and her work as a well respected Lawyer and a Deputy Judge. She was a fearless advocate for her clients. She enjoyed volunteering her time and was an active member of the Sarnia Riding Club. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., with family and friends being received one hour prior to service. Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, after a short but brave and hard-fought journey with Melanoma, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Robin Allan Earl Schreader passed away at the age of 51. Beloved son of Dawson Schreader (Mary McLeay). Dear brother of Ian (Sharon) and Darren (Tammy) McLeay, Craig (Wendy) Lawrence, Kelly Lawrence and Caralee (Adam) Ridley. Lovingly remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friend of Denise, Lynn, Jim, Kevin, Paul and Jamie. Predeceased by his mother Jean Frances Lawrence (2012), his grandparents Norman and Viola Schreader, his grandmother Mary Jane Lapierre, and aunts Shirley Schreader and Noreen D’arcy. Robin was a graduate of Central High School, Lambton College and College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. Cremation has taken place. Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C., on Saturday August 29, 2015. Garth of Lakefield in his 81st year. Garth was a longtime employee of Cochrane Tool in Scarborough and a member of the R.C.L. Branch #77, Lakefield. He loved his time on Lake Katchewanooka and spent many hours fishing its waters. Loved and missed by his wife of 53 years, Thelma . Also sadly missed by his children Paul (Diane) and Dianne East (Mike), both of Brooklin. Loving Grandpa of Dan, Chris, Mitch, Michelle, Chloe, Mac, Molly and Heidi. Special brother to George (Bev). Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Monday, August 31, 2015, it is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Jill Pamela Monteith, 86 years, of Sarnia, and formerly of Petrolia. Much loved and devoted mother of Susan Luczak (Alex) and Nancy Monteith. Loving grandmother of Michael, Hayley, Kelly, Carolyn, Kristin, Daniel and Heather. Survived by her brother-in-law Jack (Gitte), and predeceased by her loving husband Jim, her parents Commodore Francis and Keitha Smith, her brother-in-law Walter, and her father and mother-in-law JC and Marion Monteith.
