Sherman is now in the presence of The Lord. He passed away peacefully at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Monday, April 24, 2017 in his 94th year. Sherman of Wasaga Beach, born in Toronto, formerly of Kitchener. Beloved husband of Mary (nee MacIsaac). Loving father of Ron Taylor (Lidia) and Lori (Gaspar “Gus” Bendevis). Dear grandfather of Jason Taylor (Erica), David Taylor, Peter Bendevis (Ashlee) and Paul Bendevis. Great-grandfather of Hannah, Joanna, Aislynn and Micah. Sherman was pre-deceased by his brother Ray Taylor (Kay) and by his sister Mary (the late John Mattson). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Stayner Brethren In Christ Church, 1152 Concession 6 North, Stayner on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until time of the Memorial Service at 2.pm. Mr. Raymond Pilon from Hawkesbury passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the age of 62. He was the beloved husband of Jocelyne Lacelle; the son of the late Raymond Pilon and of the late Reine Charest; the loving father of Marie-Eve (José Larocque) and Mélissa (Sylvain Lévis); the cherished papi of Noémie, Gabriel, Théo and Léa-Rose; the dear brother of Carole (Pierre Myre) and Diane (Normand Lalonde). Too dearly loved ever to be forgotten

Brubacher, Charles (Chuck) Leverne passed away peacefully at Mississauga Hospital (part of Trillium Health Partners) on Monday, April 24th, 2017.

Lovingly remembered by Roberta Alene Brubacher (Longfield), his wife of 54 years. Treasured father of Blair Brubacher (Karen Ashforth), and Lisa Brubacher (Jeff Cairns). Proud grandfather of Bennett, Cameron, Jacob and Madeline. Caring uncle to David Hunter (Rosalind Güldner). He was predeceased by his beloved sister Candace Harvey (Brubacher).

Chuck was born in Kitchener, Ontario, March 5th, 1937. He was the son of the late Harry Brubacher and Isabel Brubacher (Wright).

Chuck spent his formative years in St. Thomas, working in his parents’ hardware store and attending St. Thomas Elgin Collegiate Institute. During this time, Chuck developed a love for wilderness canoe tripping. His post-secondary studies took him to Western University. By the time he graduated, he had two new passions, Roberta and improving emergency medical care and transportation. As his family grew, so did his passions, first for his children, then his grandchildren. In his retirement, driver training and safety became another passion. Throughout his life, Chuck’s focus on serving others, has touched many lives.

Thanks to the medical staff of Trillium for their dedication and compassionate care of Chuck.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will take place this Saturday, April 29th at 1:00 pm at St. James United Church, 400 Burnhamthorpe Road, Etobicoke. The visitation is at 1:00 pm, followed at 2:00 pm by the service and reception.

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, April 24th, 2017; Susan Lynn Patterson (nee Auld) passed away at the age of 69. Beloved wife to the love of her life Doug for 47 years. Mother of Steven Patterson and Christin (Ryan) Barber. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Matthew and Brooklyn Patterson and Sky and Reid Barber. Survived by her brother Bob (Joyce) Auld and sister Norma (Don) Dolbear.

Susan, after graduating from Nursing school in 1969 worked at Sydenham District Hospital, Wallaceburg until she moved to Strathroy Hospital in 1971 where she worked as a nurse for 48 years.

The family of Susan would like to thank the 2 South nurses for their exceptional care and all her friends for their help at this difficult time.

With heavy hearts we had to say good bye to Bob on Palm Sunday April 9/17l. Bob slipped peacefully away with his fur babies on his lap and leaves behind his loving wife Kathy Thomson (Huckle Walker), and his blended family of children and grandchildren Stephanie, Mathew, Christine, Micheal, Ian Thomson, Barbara, Barry & Richard Walker. his little humans ..Laila, Justin, Mariah, Austin, Brady, Avery & Penelope (papa called her peanut ) Brother of Marylee (Dale) Thamesville Gordon of Alberta…many nieces an nephews…Bob was predeceased by his parents Andy & Francis. Bob was a member of the OPPs and policed in Chatham, Peterborough, and Orillia. He was a member off the OPP Band. Bob retired 10 years ago and did his thing, rode his motorcycle, played golf, worked part time. He had a smile for everyone..Many people are going to miss him…mostly his wife and his fur babies..

Rebecca (Becky) passed away suddenly in Sidney BC, in a drowning accident. Rebecca was born in England, and came to Canada with her parents while in elementary school. She grew up in Annapolis Valley NS, and was a competitive runner, eventually going on to win a gold medal in the marathon, at the World Military Games, in Biel Switzerland.
After high school, she attended Acadia University in Wolfville NS, then transferred to Saint Francis Xavier University NS, where she graduated two years later with a BSc Major Nutritional and Consumer Studies.
Upon graduation, she joined the Canadian Army and became a Logistics Officer, with postings to Gagetown NB, Greenwood NS, and Borden ON. She retired in 2007 and moved to Halifax NS.
She is survived by her spouse, Paul, daughter Elyse (Ontario), brother Harvey, and her mother, Sheila (both in Nova Scotia).

Passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 at 81 years of age.  Best friend and loving husband of Angelina (nee DiCarlo) for 60 years.  Adored and devoted father of Mary DiNunzio, Susie DiPasquale (Bart), Rose Melo (Joe), Dan DiNunzio and Lisa Brush (Steve).  Proud tatone (grandpa) of Stephanie (Rob), Christina (Greg), Adam, Michael (Stephanie), Jenna, Jessica (Adam), Matthew (Margo), David (Lucie), Kassandra (Kyle), Megan and 12 beautiful great grandchildren who brought laughter and joy into his life.  Cherished brother of the late Carmen (the late Angelina), Tony (the late Luisa), the late Agostino (Rosalie), Anna Palumbo (Luciano), Lucia DiCarlo (the late Giovanni), Angelina DiGiovanni (the late Giuseppe) and Giovina DiNardo (Agostino).  Predeceased by parents Francesco and Maria Donata DiNunzio and his mother and father in law Donato and Graziella DiCarlo.  Giuseppe will be dearly missed by brother and sister in laws and their spouses and families.  He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Giuseppe was retired from SKD and enjoyed his life with his family and time in his garden.  He was a long standing member of the Verdi Club where he enjoyed playing bocce.

Our Wonder Woman, passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 20, 2017 at 42 years of age.  Loving mother of Tyler Pillon and Alexandra Pillon-Eadie. On April 21, 2017 Russ took his last breath, peacefully, with his family by his side. Reunited with his beloved wife Yvonne (2014). Loving Father of Carrie (Rob) Brouyette, Brenda (Leonard) Benedet and Keith (Debbie Favaro-Harnish) Dupuis. Pipi of Derek, Jordan, and Darcy Benedet, Dr. Nicole O’Neill, Brianne and Bryce Dupuis.  Great Pipi of Krystian, Natalia, Liliana, Madison, Hazel, Noah and Kinsley. Predeceased by parents Gaspard and Florence Dupuis. A proud retired Firefighter, with the Windsor Fire Department for 35 years.  He will be missed by all his golf league friends, at Dominion, Roseland, as well as Pine Lakes in Jensen Beach Florida. A 40 year Snowbird resident of Nettles Island, in Jensen Beach Florida. He was a volunteer with the Fishing Club, Men’s Club, Jensen Beach Legion, Nettle’s Island Volunteer Firefighters.  Member of Royal Canadian Legion Br 594, Windsor Sportsman Club.  Proud of his ancestry, member of Wyandot of Anderdon Nation Splitlog Tribe. Special friends of Doug and Virginia Major, Don (1996) and Pauline Smith, Larry and Lou Serre, Joe and Maggie Vaillancourt, and Chris Hall. Survived by many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Took an early retirement from Chrysler Canada Ltd. in 1980 to work full time for the company he founded in 1978 as E.J. Laframboise General Contracting Ltd. Served for many years as coach and on the Executive of Sandwich West Minor Hockey. Was one of the charter members of Sacred Heart LaSalle – Council 9500 Knights of Columbus and served on the Executive as Trustee, Financial Secretary and presently as Grand Knight. Was a member of St. Vincent DePaul – LaSalle Conference and served on the Executive as Treasurer and presently as President. In lieu of flowers a picture or a short note entered in the book of memories would be appreciated. For those who wish, donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Windsor or St. Vincent DePaul Society LaSalle Conference would be appreciated. Douglas Holden Stuart passed away on Monday April 24th, 2017 with family by his side in his 102nd year. Beloved husband for 55 years of the late Maxine Helen Stuart (nee Whaley – July 21st, 1995). Dear father of Kenneth and Peggy Stuart, Janet Stuart, and Diana and Art McOmber. Cherished grandfather of Darrell Wilder, Dwayne and Mitzie Wilder, Shane and Louise Stuart, Art and Barb McOmber, Michael and Breanna McOmber, Tammy and Mark Ballard, Devon and Levi McPherson, Leigh-Ann and Jeremy Burke, and Mike Murrell. Douglas will be fondly remembered by his 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Stuart (nee Holden), and his grandson Oak Stuart. Special thanks to Kim Toulouse, who spent the past 10 years caring for her grandfather at Meadow Park Nursing Home, as well as to the front-line staff and management. Douglas retired from Ontario Steel in 1974. He had a summer home on the Saugeen River where he loved to fish. Douglas served in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 71 years. It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nina, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, on April 24, 2017 at Huron Lodge, at the age of 79. Loving and devoted mother to MaryAnne Morrow (Bob) and Christine Wisniewski; both of Phoenix, Arizona. Cherished “Babi” to Luca and Angelina. Predeceased by siblings Josip Lorkovich and surviving wife Kata, Ana Frketic (Marko), Maca Srakocic (Janko), Dragica Matuzic (Josip), Zorka Gorup (Janko), Katica Cvitkovic and surviving husband Pavao and Barka Barsic (Ivan). Also survived by many nieces & nephews in Canada and Croatia. Nina was retired from the GM trim plant and was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church.
