Tracy Lynn Tuckey (Holden) age 39, fell asleep in death on February 05, 2017 at home after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, PQ, she was the beloved wife of Timothy Shawn Tuckey and affectionately remembered as ESM (evil step-mother) to her children Rhys, Zoe and Maxine, daughter to ever loving parents Pierre and Mary, adoring mother-in-law Patricia, dear sister to Laura, Ryan and Becky, sisters-in-law Patti, Yammi, Kathy and brothers-in-law AJ, Chris, Kevin, and Jeremy. Tracy was also an affectionate, mischievous Aunt to Zack, Alex, Owen, Ava, Sophie, and Alexis.
She enjoyed a close relationship with her extended family Aunts Cathy, Patti, Uncles Norman, Don, and family friends Tom and Cathy Kuchlein.
Tracy had endearing friendships with Leah, Ruth, Debbie and Peter, Claudia, Dianne, Grant and Isabel, Greg and Pat, Meghan, Alisha, Kristin, Leslie, Allison, and of course Paul.
Tracy loved her job at the Thames Valley District School Board where Jane, Erin, Steve, Scott, Darlene, and Vicky fondly remember her.
Tracy’s love of shoes only paled when compared to her love for her husband and complete faith, love, and trust in her creator Jehovah. Tracy’s favourite scripture is a promise by Jehovah God through his Son, Jesus, in the very near future:
With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:3, 4).
The Tuckey Family would like to thank:
Pierre and Mary Holden for the tireless hours they spent in support of their daughter.
The Southdale Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for all their support they lovingly demonstrated in their time of need.
The Palliative Care Team at LHSC-Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care.
CCAC and the VON for the resources and energies they supplied.
Dr. Elia and Dr. Malik for their dedication and professionalism.
Tracy’s final desire was to be remembered by her family and friends at her memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 86 Baseline Rd W, London, Ontario on Saturday, February, 11, 2017 at 1:30 PM. A brief talk will be given in memorial for Tracy at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Tracy’s memory at www.jw.org

He only takes the best
And when we knew you were sleeping
So peaceful and free from pain
We wouldn’t wish you back
To suffer that endless pain again
So as you take your final rest
Now we can say goodbye
Rest well Nancy, our sweet Sister

On January 31st, 2017 Elizabeth passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint Hospital, Toronto, in her 68th year following a brief illness with cancer. Born in St. Catherine’s, Ontario, on September 14, 1949 to Cecil and Anita Skerrett. Elizabeth was warm, compassionate, generous and a valued member of the Cabbagetown Community, most notably through her thousands of hours of charity work at both Saint Luke’s United Church and Dixon Hall Meals-on-Wheels program. Having lived most of her life in Toronto, Elizabeth embraced the music, visual arts and numerous performances and festivals the city always had to offer. Among her family, she is remembered as being courageous through life’s challenges, resolutely independent, and gracious. Elizabeth is known by her friends as always supportive with a kind soul, and members of her church remember her as always being such a presence of quiet grace. Loving mother to Shaniah Leduc and son-in-law Scott, and step-grandmother to Katherine who loved her short bread cookies and remembers her as always being generous with gifts. Elizabeth cared deeply for the well-being of her brother Glyn and sister-in-law Marleen, niece Kristy and nephew Gregory (Suzanne) Skerrett, and brothers William (Rhea) and Albert. GANTZ: Jesselee Adam of Hamilton

Posted by on February 16, 2017

images-4

Feb 15, 1954-January 29, 2017. Left to mourn his loss are sisters Roslynn (Claudio) Memme, Ronda Ploughman, niece Jessica (Bill) Hallman and children, beloved companion Susan McPhail (Squirrel) and sons Edward and Reggie Ploughman. Predeceased by parents Pearl and James Ploughman and younger brothers Monty and David.

Adam was in every sense of the word an old world craftsman/artisan and musician. Using only antique equipment and very old methods of production to hand produce his products, he was a recognized master bookbinder, master bootmaker and tailor. He specialized in civil war clothing and period costume. His rare hand sewn “boots with no cuts” were in demand around the world. He was a publisher of the arcane using specialized papers and old style printing presses. His books published under the imprint OBR and Acorn are now held in private collections and are highly sought after for their rarity and quality of workmanship.

Adam wrote and played his own music (drums and guitar). He performed with local groups and also left behind a small library of his own music. His love of cats translated into several generations of black and white “shop” cats – all named John Henry. Adam had a heart for the USA and spent many years living and traveling there with most of his time spent in Tacoma, WA, PA, and NY. His unique gifts, strength of personality and enjoyment of others, led to many long and enduring friendships over his lifetime. No-one could tell a story like Adam and few would match his creative and outrageous sense of humor. Adam was uncompromising in his commitment to live life on his own terms. His passing leaves us deeply saddened and feeling like it is the end of an era. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

A private service by close friends and family will be held on Wednesday February 1st with internment to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the charity of your choice or to one of the many animal rescue groups in the city.
