24165 OgilvieOGILVIE, Reverend David G. – 81, of London, ON, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013.  He was the son of David and Viola (Bacon) Ogilvie of Hamilton, ON.  Dave, a graduate of McMaster Divinity College, served as pastor in Baptist churches in Jerseyville, Arkona, Burtch, and St. Lambert, as Chaplain at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston, ON and as Interim Minister to Baptist congregations in Bothwell, Clachan, London, and North Bay. In retirement, Dave was actively involved  at Westview Baptist Church, and volunteered at Victoria Hospital as a member of the Kiwanis Club.  For the past year he was a resident of Westmount Gardens where he received excellent care.  Dave loved music, camping, curling, and time with family.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Gladys (nee Davidson); his twin sister, Jean Ogilvie, Hamilton; his children, David (Cynthia) Ogilvie, Centreville, NS; Susan (Ralph) Weber, Waterloo, ON; Bonnie (Joel) Vivian, Wyoming, ON; Robert (Bonnie) Ogilvie, Port Moody, BC; and Glenn (Ami) Ogilvie, Woodstock, ON; as well as sister-in-law, Evelyn Connor, Peterborough, ON; and brother-in-law, David Davidson, Beamsville, ON.  He is also loved and missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family in Australia. Cremation has taken place.  Friends will be received by the family from 2:00 – 4:00pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Westview Baptist Church, 1000 Wonderland Road, South, London, where a celebration of Dave’s life will take place on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00am, Reverend David Stead officiating, with a Reception to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westview Baptist Church – Ceiling Fund or the London Health Sciences Foundation – Palliative Care Ward.  A.
