OGBURN, Jeanne d’Arc (nee Savard), of R.R.5, St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Friday, November 11, 2016, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife for 64 years to the late Roy E. Ogburn (Feb. 8, 2016). Dearly loved mother of Ken Ogburn and his wife Greta of Kanata, and Dan Ogburn and his wife Marion of R.R.5, St. Thomas. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jean was the last surviving member of her own immediate family, having been predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Born in Alma, Québec, August 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Fortunat and Azilda Savard. She was a Nurses Aide at the Komoka Nursing Home for twelve years, and a former telephone operator for Bell Canada in Québec. Jean was an adherent of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas. Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Tuesday evening, November 15th from 7:00-8:30 p.m. (Prayers at 8:15 p.m.) at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Wednesday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. Following cremation, inurnment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
