Peacefully, on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at age 85. Survived by his wife Jean and their ten children, Margaret (Donald MacKinnon), Patrick (Anita), Michael (Frances), Dennis (Diane), Terrance (Judy), Timothy, Kevin, Maureen, Mary-Jean (Gord Ferrier), and Christopher (Barbara), along with 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was an entrepreneur (McGrath Canada), a city alderman and a member of many church and community organizations including Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club of Ottawa, OXA, American Collectors Association, the Upper Canada Law Society, Ottawa Separate School Board Trustee, Elections Canada (25years), member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ski Patrol, St. Vincent de Paul, and St. Theresa’s Church Council. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, 95 Somerset Street West, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 10:30am. Reception to follow. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
