THIBERT, JOHN – John Paul Thibert passed away suddenly at Blue Water Health, Sarnia, ON, on June the 9th, 2017.  He was predeceased by his loving parents Andrew and Bernadette Thibert, his brother Danny Thibert and sister Madeline Thibert. John will be missed by his brother Mark and sister Michelle Thibert.  He was also a loving and proud uncle to his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Family was everything to John. Lloyd Henry Wheeler, a resident of Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow and formerly of Teeswater and Bluevale, passed away at Pinecrest Manor on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 at the age of 82.

Beloved husband of Patricia Gamble-Wheeler (née Mulcaster) of Teeswater and the late Isabel Wheeler (née Cameron) who predeceased him in May 1994.

Dear father of David Wheeler and his wife Maureen of Erinsville and Heather Montgomery and her husband Doug of Peterborough.

Missed by his grandchildren, Michela and Ashley Montgomery and Zack and Maddi Wheeler.

Wayne graduated from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in the top 20 in Canada in 1967. He practised as a public accountant for over 40 years with the latter being his own practice in Maxwell. His passions were farming, family, community and faith. Telling stories and laughing were among his favourite pastimes but his family was his pride and joy.

Died peacefully on Friday November 25, 2016 at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 56. Lori of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Englehart, beloved wife of Darrell. Loving mother of Herman (Monica Vadori), Peter, Mackenzie (Gabriella Fern) and Jarin (Victoria). Cherished grandmother of Emma. Loving daughter of Aubrey and Betty Warren. Dear sister of Gerry (Hannu Lindholm) and Tom Warren (Wendy). FRY: Karren Ann of Vancouver Formerly of Ontario

images-4It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karren Ann Fry. Karren passed away in her home on June 13, 2016. 

Karren was was born to Alan (2013) and Elizabeth (Betty Ann) Fry on December 12, 1976 at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria B.C.  After an early life in British Columbia, Karren’s family moved to Ontario where she completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Criminology from Windsor University in Ontario, which led to her working with RCMP in the student program as a young adult.  She eventually moved to Vancouver BC where she married Cary De Best and had her beautiful daughter, Leah.  In time, Karren ventured out on her own and worked as a support worker for adults with mental illness.
 
Karren was a loving mother, dedicated family member and a good friend. Her raw sincerity, infectious laugh, sense of humour and amazing spirit made her a joy to be around. She would brighten anyone’s day with a caring message of support or a ridiculous story.  

Karren was a sincere Buddhist and loved travelling to international Dharma Festivals with her brother for teachings and inspiration.  Special powa ceremonies were performed for Karren by Gen Kelsang Thekchen and friends at Kadampa Mediation Centre Vancouver on June 20th, 2016, As well by her Teacher and friend Gen Kelsang Delek and many others.

Karren enjoyed nature and would find peace during a long walk with her daughter in the parks that line the beautiful coast of Vancouver.  She especially loved animals and adored her two little boy cats Thomas (T-Dawg) and Sammy. 

Her family, friends, and all those she touched will miss her tremendously. Karren is survived by her beautiful and loving daughter, Leah De Best (Cary); Her Mother Elizabeth and grandmother Nelda Sauer; her uncles Jim, Ron, Tom, Doug and her Aunt Ellen; her brother Jeff Fry (Devon) and niece Lexa; and her sister Leanne Fry. 
 

There will be a a celebration of life on July 2nd, 2016 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at St. James Community Centre, 3214 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver B.C.

Robinson, Mary Elizabeth “Betty”– peacefully went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 in her 94th year.  Daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (nee Armistead) Baragar.  Wife of the late Ross Raymond Robinson.  Loving mother of Doug (Betty) Robinson of Swastika, ON and Ivan (Audrey) Robinson of Belleville.  Cherished grandmother of David (Stephanie) Robinson of Bradford, Graham (Amber) Robinson of North Bay, David (Tanya) Robinson of Belleville and Victoria (JD) Schroeder of Pembroke.  Great grandmother of Julia, Ryan, Nathan, James, Lily, Laurel, Jenna and Beth.  Betty is survived by her brother Herb (Teresa) Baragar and her sister Eleanor (Ted) Green both of Belleville.  She is predeceased by her sister Muriel Irwin.

387_clayt_bellClayton William “Clayt” Bell of Teeswater, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 at the age of 65.

Beloved husband of Susan Kraemer-Bell (née Hamilton) of Teeswater.

Loving father of Trevor Bell (Hazel) of Teeswater, Tamra Goetz (Kevin) of Mildmay and Todd Hamilton (Deb) of Teeswater.

Deeply missed by his grandchildren, Heather Bell (fiancé Tanis O’Connell), Trent Bell (friend Anna Darling), Taylor Goetz, Dawson Goetz, Darby Goetz, Avrie Goetz and Carmen Hamilton.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of Robert Bell (Barb) of Hanover, Marilyn Buffo of Kincardine and Ron Weiss (Betty) of Seaforth.

Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and by members of the Hamilton and Duck families.

Predeceased by his son Moe Kraemer, parents, Albert and Hazel (née Donaldson) Bell, sisters Betty Moulton (Bill) and Audrey Weiss, brother-in-law John Buffo and father and mother-in-law George and Eileen Hamilton.

Clayt was very active in the Teeswater community. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years, a member of municipal council, former Fire Chief with the Teeswater Culross Fire Department and a part of the music group the Swamp Stompers.

A celebration to honour Clayt’s life will take place at the Teeswater Culross Community Centre (19 Marcy Street East), Teeswater on Saturday, August 13th, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. with remembrances shared at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Teeswater Culross Firefighters Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

O'Malley, Mary (small)Mary Ellen O’Malley (née McNamara) formerly of Wingham and Teeswater passed away peacefully with family by her side at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Sunday, July 17th, 2016, at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Charles O’Malley who predeceased her in 1993.

Loving mother of Maureen Steinbach (Steve) of Cambridge, Mary Helen Deakin (Don) of Killaloe, Catherine O’Connor of Stratford, Edward O’Malley of Teeswater, Patricia Devitt (Blake) of Kincardine, Terrance O’Malley (Mary) of Elmwood and Teresa Blackwell (Ben) of Teeswater.

Missed by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Camilla (Duggan) McNamara, son Richard O’Malley, son-in-law Terence O’Connor, sister Catherine Crunican (John) and brother Richard McNamara (Marian).

Mary taught with the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board for a number of years. She retired as Principal of Sacred Heart School in Wingham in 1985.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, (14 Gordon Street West) Teeswater on Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Passed away at his home in Waterdown, after a long and prosperous life, on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 94. Beloved husband for nearly 62 years to Kathleen (nee Marion). Loving father of Della Marie, the late Wayne (1979), Michael (Maureen), and Karen Marion (Claude). Cherished Papa of Cassandra (Sean), Maria (Wayne), Suzanne (Tyler), Michelle, Dianne (Jonathan), Sarah, Emilly, and great Papa of 8 great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Gilberette, Rev. Sister St. Rose of the Daughters of Wisdom, Ottawa. Predeceased by his siblings Roger, Paul-Emile, Aurel, Joseph, Fernand, Rose, Juliette, and Annette. Del was a WWII Veteran, having served as Bandsman. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Oakville, before working and retiring with Petro Canada. Del was very involved in sports, both playing and coaching in the Waterdown community. He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, and also enjoyed his time playing with the Oakville Citizen Band. Most importantly Del was the rock and foundation of his family, and his sense of humour, and love will always be remembered. Family will receive friends at KITCHING STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., and 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. Legion Service 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 715 Centre Rd, Waterdown on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. Private Cremation. Kurt Schoenthier 001SCHOENTHIER, Kurt R., of St. Thomas, formerly of New Sarum, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care on Bonnie Place, St. Thomas on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in his 97th year.  Beloved husband for over 68 years to Erna (nee Gohla) Schoenthier.  Loving father of Rainer Schoenthier (Laurie) of St. Thomas, Kathy Dyer (Tim) of Nobel, ON, and Bernie Schoenthier (Trish) of St. Thomas.  Cherished grandfather of Marcie Vandenberghe of St. Thomas, Wendy Rego (Steve) of Ingersoll, Trudy Kitchen (Geoff) of Brantford, Kayla Abel (Dan) of St. Thomas, Jesse Dyer of Thunder Bay, Adam Moss of Kitchener, and Jordan Moss of Brantford.  Loved great grandfather of Alyssa, Josh, Anthony, Lily, and Reese.  Dear brother of Gerda Temple of St. Thomas.  Also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Guenther Schoenthier died in 1944.  Born in Gruenhartau, Schlesien, Germany, March 2, 1920, he was the son of the late Herman and Minna (nee Winkler) Schoenthier.  Kurt was the retired owner/operator of the New Sarum Auto Body and was also a retired farmer (orchard).  He was a founding member of the German Canadian Club, St. Thomas.  From 1939-1941, he served with the German Submarine Force, and was a POW in Canada from 1941-1947.  Kurt immigrated to Canada in 1951.  The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service.  Flowers respectfully declined.  Memorial donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 at the age of 63.  Dearly beloved husband of Judith Dumais (Fraser). Loving father of Patrick (Lucía Delacoste), Kevin (Céline), Justin (Geneviève) and Mathieu. Cherished grandfather of Maxime, Sophie, Sébastien and Chloé. Dear brother of Doris. He will be sadly missed by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
