On November 25th, 2012, at the age of 89, Emmi Meta Agnes Nilson née Horn, wife of Piotr William Nilson, passed away at St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa. She died of natural causes after battling Alzheimer’s for the past five years. She was born in Bremen, Germany in 1923 and came to Canada in 1950 with her husband. They lived in Mississauga/Cooksville for most of her life and she was an expert gardener who grew award winning Rhododendrons. She was the mother of two boys, Roy and Michael. She will be missed by her son, Michael, her daughter-in-law, Mary, and her granddaughter, Margaret.
Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Thursday, November 29th from 6-8pm.  Donations in memory of Emmi  to St. Patrick’s Home of Ottawa would be appreciated.
