With tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Michael, a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Michael quietly passed away after a short strong battle with cancer at the age of 56.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Bev and daughters Stephanie and Sarah.
Michael is also survived by his mother Linda So Kam; sister Judy (Mathew); in-laws Bill & Jean; niece Madeline; nephews Tyler, Trevor & Austin; brother in-law Gerald, sister in-laws Sandra, Tracey (Bill) & Cindy as well as uncles, aunts, cousins and many life long friends.  He was predeceased by his father Wing Chow and his brother Gary. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard Chan and the nurses of Royal Columbian Hospital’s Neurological 4 North for their compassion and extended care.  Michael grew up in East Vancouver and graduated from Britannia Secondary. He married and raised his family, staying in the culturally rich east side of Vancouver.  After stint in the tourism industry he pursued a career in the home centre business. His first job was at Thunderbird and for the last 20 years at Home Depot.  All those who knew Michael shared his gregarious nature and though we mourn his passing, Michael would want us to celebrate his life.
