Muto, Ken (Kenny) Akira

Passed away quietly in his sleep after a diffcult battle with cancer at age 70, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 18th, 2013. Family and friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W., (between Islington & Kipling Aves., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday, January 23rd from 7 to 9pm and Thursday, January 24th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral mass will be held at 10am on January 25th, 2013 at St. Mark’s Parish, 277 Park Lawn Road.  Rev. Koroway will be officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga. Ken was married to Imelda on January 25th, 1975; they were married for almost 38 years. Ken worked as a furrier for Bender, Goodman, and Shear for over 25 years.  He enjoyed painting, bowling, watching baseball, gardening and good conversation.  He was also very active and involved in his Marriage Encounters community. Ken is survived by his spouse, Imelda, children, Maria (Keith), and Christopher (Deeja), and his sisters, Namie and Nobuko, his mother, Fumiko, his five granddaughters, Aliyah, Keiko, Nikko, Hannah, Ayumi, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Cancer Society.
